Ok, 1st of all, Im a picky person. So this is really something when Im rating someone 4/5. I ordered SMALL shrimp and broccoli, beef and broccoli, and crab rangoon. The price is definitely affordable and worth it for the portion it comes with. The crab rangoon usually cost $4-$6 with just 6 pieces anywhere else. Golden City charges $4 for 8 pieces! That makes me happy! As far as entrées, they give you 4 medium-jumbo size of shrimp for a SMALL portion. You guys have no idea how this is a big deal to me. Most places only give you 2-3 small pieces for a MEDIUM portion, and theyre not even good. I hate it when there are too many broccoli and little amount of meat. That and i usually get meats that are either soaking in the sauce for long that the texture is disintegrating but chewy at the same time bc its overcooked. So you can only imagine how satisfied I am with this place because they had it just right! PLUS, the veggies are almost squeaking which means they were cleaned pretty well! The sauce has a distinct taste Ive never had anywhere else and i mean this in a good way. They tasted superb and fresh! They werent too oily either. My food was delivered it at the promised time. Im not sure if I was just lucky but it sure made my dinner worthwhile! Thank you Golden City! :) Id give you a 5 but theres always room for improvement. ;).

We wont go back. The food is large portions and fairly cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. I ordered a large Bourbon Chicken. It came filled with onions that I had to dig out of the whole order. That was 1/4 of the plate. I have never seen onions in that dish elsewhere. It wasnt the best chicken quality. Lots of little bits that I couldnt chew. The french fries tasted like they were cooked in very reused grease. We also ordered the teriyaki chicken skewers. Very large but very over cooked and tough to bite. I am sure they get a lot of one time business since they are near the hotels and people order out of proximity.

Upon placing my order 30 minutes ago, I get a call asking for my credit card again because it wont go through. After hesitantly giving my card number over the phone, I was told it will be 40 more minutes.... Socked at the wait time I ask why. I get an answer of "Ummm well we just got it". I informed them I got my email confirmation 25 minutes ago and they pretty much tell me they cant do anything. I say I want to cancel the order if it will indeed be the 40 minute wait. I then get an "Uhhhh okay". Do not order from here, they are unorganized and do not know what customer service means. Waste of my time.

I am pretty picky about Chinese Food myself, being from NY. After trying Jade Garden (both of them)...disgusting, I found Golden City III in VA Beach. It was my final attempt at finding decent Chinese in this Oceanfront area. I got something basic: Chicken wings, shrimp w/ broccoli, and white rice...you know, things that are really hard to eff up, lol. I was very happy with the cost, and the portion sizes. Now its not hands down the best Chinese food ever, but it is yummy and prepared fresh, and does the trick for my wallet and tummy. Eat up!

THE WORST PLACE EVER Recommended To Us. Our order was 60.00 worth of food, the lady argued with me for 7 soy sauces per meal. she was very rude. you can clearly hear her and the guy in the back mad because I asked for extra soy sauce. If you order any beef, combo, chicken of anything, expect to see 5 small pieces in each. extra beef for broccoli, not going to happen I may get 3 extra pieces. Food was not good at all, Well never order from here again. Waste of wait time and money!!!

Absolutely terrible! Ordered shrimp and broccoli and asked for white rice with it not the pork fried rice. I also ordered a side of white rice. I did not get my shrimp and broccoli. And I got pork fried rice in stead of the white rice like I asked. I dont eat pork and when I called to get it fixed they jsu t yelled in the background and did not want to fix what they messed up. They wanted to play dumb. I will never eat here again.

Omg when I ordered from here I had got General tos chicken with pork fried rice & a side of teriyaki chicken sticks .. Let me tell you .. Everything was so freaking GOOOOD!!!! I mean the teriyaki chicken sticks was on point it was Cooked just right & general tos chicken was delicious.. I recommend you too order here you wont be disappointed!!! Thank you for the good food ! I will be ordering again

This place sucks I could barely understand the guy on the phone talked to him on the phone for 15 mins trying to put my order in and before I could even finish they then told me I couldnt order because I didnt live close enough you say u have delivery then u can come to my house google said I live 3.1 miles and that was the closet one to my house waisted my time trying to talk to them

I ordered the general tso`s chicken it was very good, except the fried rice was horrible it was light in color and seemed to be rushed and also had a weird taste to it. The lady at the desk was very nice. I didnt order over the phone but i over heard her taking an order she was very polite and did not rush the customer like some places do. Would i eat there again? Sure!

Ordered food over an hour ago, the delivery guy calls, keep in mind he barely speaks English, and says hes here and that he had knocked on the door. He was at the wrong place. Handed the phone to the person at the other apartment and had us talk to him (which makes no sence). Now is on his way here. Hopefully the food was worth all this.

go off the beaten path in VAB, where it seems like most of the reviews for restaurants here are bleak at best, Golden City offered up tasty chinese as well as sushi, both of which the four of us tried and found readily likeable. service was decent enough, no reason not to give it a try if you enjoy asian foods.

Ordered orange chicken and sesame chicken, both dishes had a strange taste and smell to them. Im not sure if the chicken was spoiled or what, but we didnt finish the food we had delivered. I wont risk eating from them again. Hopefully we arent sick in the morning.

Good food, good prices and good for a laid back dinning experience. This is not a dressy place, it has little service but fast! We took longer to pick our food than it took them to have it out! Will visit again if in the area!

I highly recommend this restaurant. Pay no attention to the negative reviews by nit pickers. Everything was excellent and fairly priced. Best hot and sour soup Ive ever had.
