My boyfriend & I absolutely love the food. The sushi is wonderful as is the fried rice. Recently we switched to eating take out instead of dining in. We dined in frequently before making this switch, at times as much as 3 times a week. During these periods of frequent dine in we began to notice that we were being rushed out subtly based off the time we spent their. As a server in the past I understand that when busy squatting is not an acceptable behavior. However this would occur even when the restaurant was completely empty? Over time it began to wear on our nerves, it is nice to sometimes talk and catch up on things during and even after eating. Normally my boyfriend and I would leave a 15-25% tip depending upon our server or if we were passively rushed out. Eventually we got annoyed enough to not leave a tip at all. Please keep in mind this was the first time ever we did not tip. Upon leaving the restaurant we were aggressively ran down and told sternly we forgot to tip. This angered me more so I ignored the disgruntled waitress and continued on my way. The very next day we returned to dine in. Trying to maintain a positive mind set I decided to tip again based off that days service, not my experience the day prior. However when I received the bill I was charged gratuity, 18% on top of the bill. Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the assumption that gratuity can only be charged when the bill is over a certain amount. Our bill was around 34$ I believe. A bit low to be charged gratuity I thought. Again correct me if Im wrong but I was also under the assumption or belief gratuity is paid if you choose to, meaning I could have refused or disputed that part of the bill if I wanted to. That being said I reluctantly decided to pay it and not make a scene. Already a bit annoyed I approached the register to pay. My boyfriend and I paid with a credit card, the card was charged and we were given the sign and tip part of the receipt. Keep in mind we were charged gratuity due to the small confrontation that happened the day prior. We paid the gratuity and the bill but did not tip (hence the gratuity). When the cashier received our receipt (or snatched it I should say) she looked quickly and yelled NO TIP, YOU NO TIP I believe were her exact words. At this point my boyfriend began to argue with her explaining we already paid gratuity. As the situation escalated another waitress, possibly the manager, quickly came over and diffused the situation by saying sorry over and over but never offering any explanation for the gratuity charge or this anger coming from them directed at us for not tipping ONE time after agitated, rushed, and passive aggresive service. Needless to say we have not dined in since. I always thought that the customer was to be given the benefit of the doubt. I understand waitresses make there living off tips, however that does not mean they should just be given money for doing a sub par job multiple times. A tip is earned. The better the service the better the tip, and to be clear I usually tip a letter grade C service with 20% so I am not hard to please. Thank you for your time to read and please understand it is not my intent to get anyone in trouble. I just want to be heard and valued as a customer, I work hard for my money and if I choose to spend it in your place of business I expect to be treated with respect. I do not wish to be treated as if I am some sort of burden. Thank you again and God bless.

Terrible terrible service. I called to place a very large order at 11:45, knowing that the restaurant doesnt open until 12, so they could begin making it whenever they could. It could be at 12, for all I care. I call back a few times, and was hung up on twice. At 12, the girl answers, "Hello?" I didnt know if I was calling a house or a business, but then I was hung up on again! I called back and she answered again but with a somewhat professional greeting. I asked to speak to the manager, and she told me she was the manager. I told her that I was hung up on several times and at this point I didnt want to order any more but wanted to make a complaint to the owner. She said, in a very disrespectful tone, "Well, we dont open until 12." Excuse me, I will take my money elsewhere. She probably sat and watched the clock, refusing to answer the phone until 12 because she doesnt have to. Unbelievable.

Asked SEVERAL times (even on a separate occasion) if my order was vegan. We were told the mushroom soup contained no meat. But after finding a chunk of meat in it and confronting the waitress, (who still tried to cover it up by lying) she finally admitted it had fish. After explaining to the manager we cannot consume any animal products they still cooked our food in butter. We were offered no discount for the food I could not eat, and no apology. I have worked in the food industry and have a lot of sympathy for miscommunications, but we were blatantly lied to several times. I am very upset about having spent money so I could get sick in the bathroom. A discount AT LEAST would have been nice. A great restaurant if you have no food allergies/dietary restrictions. Our chef was wonderful, I wish I could have enjoyed it.

Went last night for the second time. First time was for my 30th birthday back in June and 2nd time was last night with a group of 7 of us celebrating our friend being home. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces. Our servers were great. We byob and they asked us right away to open anything we needed and brought us out glasses along with an ice bucket to chill a bottle of wine we werent drinking at the moment. Our awesome chef Stanley was amazing and very entertaining!! The food was great and plentiful. I cant recommend this place enough. Both times Ive been, Ive been nothing but impressed and this place is always a hit with a group of people. So nice to have a local hibachi place. If you havent been yet, check it out asap! If not youre missing out.

Im so outraged at some of the reviews on here! First off if your vegan stay home and prepare you own food. If you know nothing about asian foods keep your commemnts to yourself. This place has some of the best food in this area. The lo mein is best this side of philly chinatown! The curries are awesome, matsaman is my fav. The teriaki grill is a great time , i get the steak every time, and you get to see what goes into the meal ... The new york strip used is high quality and you can see it when they bring it out to put on the grille. The fried ric is great youcan even pick diferent sauces to cook your meal with. The rolls and sushi are fresh and taste great every time. Do yourself a favor and order the red bean ice cream in little chewy pillows of dough omgSo good !l
