Seldom does one have a chance to review a cafe in a car wash, but here we are. The food consists of Southern standards (especially at breakfast) and the usual assortment of delicious but ubiquitous lunches like pannini or burgers. Your best bet is the Southern chow --stuff like fried oysters, crabcakes, and local fish-- no matter what time of day you visit. Props to the owners for pouring money into the conversion, and for the open kitchen that contributes so much to the diner experience.

I like it because it was like being in a old country house it even had a porch and distressed furniture .I was sent back to the days when there was no tv.the food was good but I ordered a oyster basket. It consisted of 6 small oysters they was absolutely delicious but I think a basket could at least be 12. I can eat I had a salad and it included coleslaw that was in a tiny cocktail sauce cup and it had no taste. I left very hungry but the others that was with me seemed very satisfied.

We came here on our road-trip down from New York and Washington DC and were desperately looking for a small restaurant with local charm. Though from the outside the little pink house might not look like anything special, we were pleasantly surprised when we came in. The staff was great and the interior was nostalgic. They serve the best pancakes I have had in in the US so far and their fried pastries called "Jacks" are definitely worth a try.

Going for lunch during the week is favorite of mine. They offer an interesting menu with fresh and local items made fresh to order. I love the crabcake sandwich and homemade chips. The coffee bar smells amazing! Theres an herb garden, nice music and eclectic decor which is inviting and different then the usual places you come across. This place is a gem and a must try. One day I will try the layer coconut cake!

Everything about Java Jacks is delightful. The service is great, the location is charming, and the food is tasty. The shop owner is so friendly and pleasant. I spent an hour and a half here, having a working lunch, and she made sure I had everything I needed, including the WiFi password. Be sure to get the Jack--it truly is a treat! Cant wait to return!

Everything on their breakfast menu is tasty but their pancakes are the best that Ive ever had. They grind their own coffee as well including a delicious southern pecan flavored offering. The prices are inexpensive, the food is always fresh, and the staff is always friendly. If youve never been to Java Jacks, you simply have to try it.

Java Jacks is consistently a fun, warm and unique experience . I can see that there are no strangers who dine there, only friends they have not met yet. The food is good & I love the changing antiques for sale and if you like the tablecloth you are eating on you can buy that also!
