Great service, really good local food. The personal attention of the owners and all the staff made me feel welcomed like family. I had a great lunch on their comfortable outside deck with a great breeze, some of which was supplied by the outdoor ceiling fans. I was accompanied by a couple of friends and my fur baby who was welcomed equally as well. The owner actually brought out a bowl of water just for my furry family member which was so thoughtful on a very hot day. The food was great. The crab bisque was homemade and awesome. The grilled shrimp poboys fit the lunch time nicely. We enjoyed the tea, some wanted sweet, some unsweet, some half and half. No problem, service with a smile. Then O e wanted fries and one wanted onion rings, and I wanted half and half again. No problem, just great service and great food from good people. I only gave 4 stars because this isnt a posh and plush overpriced trendy place where the cool kids flaunt extravagance. I would hate to see it ruined by that crowd. If you want a really nice place to have a good meal with good people, I recommend that you stop in and enjoy the place as we did.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner on our way home on the way back from Annapolis. Its right off of 17 in Tappahannock. The owner was very welcoming and personable, as were the wait staff and local patrons. The fried shrimp is perfect, and the crab cakes were all crab, no filler. The desserts were excellent and the priced are extremely reasonable, too. Were definitely coming back! BTW, say hi to Wally and Faye, regulars there, if theyre there, and listen to his advice. Were definitely coming back!

If youre anywhere near Tappahannock and hungry for fresh seafood then this is the place to eat. I had the soft shell crabs and my fiance had the seafood sampler. Both came with two sides and hush puppies. I was delighted to find out that everything was homemade and absolutely delicious. Dont forget dessert as they are all homemade as well. The owners and staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was reasonably priced. I will be back.

First let me say the food was good. Homestyle cooking in a homey atmoshpere. Nothing fancy just good food. We had a hamburger with mac and cheese and a crab cake - one of the better ones Ive had in this area. The place is very small and has very loyal local patrons. Because of the size (and low ceiling), it is very loud. You can hear everyones conversation. The owner/manager is very friendly and customer conscious.

This place is a gem! The food was delicious and the service was great. Megan was very pleasant and helpful in making suggestions. I only gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because they were out of so many things. Understandable since it was a holiday weekend, but disappointing. Food recommendation: if you like crab, get the crab balls and the crabcake supreme. Youre welcome. :-)

We found this little gem while passing through. It was amazing. Everything is homemade, even down to the tarter and cocktail sauces. Pet friendly on the patio. Staff are very friendly. They even brought the kids ice cream sandwiches on the house. We will definitely stop by again next time we are in Tappahannock, VA.

Awesome food really generous size servings. Love the people we go as a family for Sunday breakfast love supporting local Mom and Pop restaurants. We go for dinner and they always have great "butterbeans" Everything on the menu is good and prices are great. Never had room to try out their deserts
