We were vacationing at Chippoke Plantation State Park. During our stay we stopped at Edwards. I was delighted with their selection. I purchased a ham, blueberry jam, a souvenir hat, and smoked bacon flavored cheese straws. I wanted the sweet potato butter, flavorings, honey, and much more. Im leaving tomorrow and havent been able to try everything, but I highly recommend the cheese straws. I may stop in on my way home.

Ive been reading about Country Ham for decades -- it was always the cherished memory or the key ingredient of quintessential Southern food. I live in Minnesota, well away from Country Ham Country, but the sliced ham that I just received has convinced me that it should ALWAYS be in my fridge or freezer. Thank you for ham that lived up to its reputation!

This is a small quaint shop on the side of the road. It seems like local people come here to enjoy the food. Friendly staff and simple sandwiches. Lots of little knick-knacks and ham that seems to be local.

This is some of the best stuff out there and is not mass produced like with the folks in the next county. The traditional cured VA hams are excellent and the Berkshire pig Surryano is sublime. Worth a trip.

Super expensive but the sausage and jam we bought was amazing! Will be back again sometime to get more fresh meat. They also have a sandwich shop inside. Really curious to try a sandwich next time.

Ive been coming here since I first found this place in 2003. I brought my kids here after 12 years of being away from the area. An its still the same amazing little shop.

Great ham but it is expensive. If you get a sandwich ask for extra meat. The ham sizes are as small as a mini basketball to a ham as big as a 23# turkey.
