Went to this hellhole with a few friends late in the evening. The cook placed the wrong food on several peoples plates and folks got pretty pissed off, but he said he would fix everything so everyone chilled out for a sec, until this idiot started placing the wrong orders on other peoples plates again. When a few of us told him he was still making mistakes, he wanted to argue with us, and I told him that Im not going to argue with you when you are the one messing up. I told him my food was cold because he had to order more food and I had to wait for it to be prepared. After that, this unattractive fluffy fat chick (aka the manager) comes and says you need to leave because you are using profanity. Instead of her coming to ask what the issue was, she was inching to tell me that I needed to leave. So I left and didnt pay a dime. This place is trash along with the rest of the idiots that work up in there and the food is not even good. Youre better off taking your behind into the beltway to Benihana, the service is way better, the staff arent assholes, its a more pleasant atmosphere, and if theres an issue, the managers go out of their way to ensure the issue is resolved rather than asking you to leave. People wouldnt have to curse if the cook knew how to follow instructions on the order that the waitress wrote down on paper. Folks, go to Hanabi in Brandywine, I heard they have better service too. Clearly, these folks do NOT want people of color at their establishment so take your money elsewhere. In the meantime, Im looking forward to this place closing down and being replaced with another restaurant in the next few years. Most of the reviews are negative which proves my point. Folks, if you intentionally want bad service, come here. Otherwise, go spend your money elsewhere.

This was the fourth and final visit to this Sakura. The server in our section had 9 tables with four seats at each 5 of which were waiting for checks when we were seated. My Wife, our friend and I sat waiting for service from 815 until i finally walked an order to the sushi chef myself and get menus, still no server. 900 finally waved down the waitress to give her our entire order. 20 minutes later we finally got drinks on the table. That was nearly 930 before we got the first glass of WATER on the table, over and HOUR after we sat down. Then the food shows up my sirloin could have been beef jerky and the other two meals were not as ordered either. As a food service worker i am extremely patient with restaurant service but this was beyond my threshold for patience as far as service and courtesy. The ONLY thing that the waitress ask if we needed in the entire 2 hours and 22 minutes was if we needed a check? And that was the fastest thing that came to the table all night was the check and i have say that this is not on my list of establishments i will recommend to anyone in a hurry, anyone eating at peak dining time or anyone looking to get service that includes correct timely service provided by friendly courteous staff.

About 10 mins after they opened for the day I placed a carry out order and was told it would take 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it took about 25. I also used the bathroom while there and was surprised to see that it was not clean; It smelled funny and the counter top was dirty and the floor was extremely dirty to the point that it was sticky and even after I walked out of the bathroom my shoes were sticking to the restaurants floor. Youd think they would clean their bathrooms before opening for the day, right? I got home and was eager to enjoy what I remember as being such awesome food that the $24 price justifies the deliciousness but lo and behold, the food tasted off. The rice was mushy and the yum yum sauce did not taste like how I remember it. My favorite Sakura location is in Annapolis, MD. I have never been wronged by that location. Im not sure why the one in Waldorf sucks but rest assured next time I want good service, a clean location and awesome tasting food I will be making the 50 minute drive from Washington DC to Annapolis MD.

Horrible all the way around...I personally have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and was completely disappointed. The food tasted burnt, all of the "traditionally" served sauces all tasted bad/sour, the sushi looked as bad as it tasted, halfway through cooking our meals the staff switched wait staff and we were brought just boxes as soon as the chef left the table. We expressed in the beginning we were there celebrating a birthday with our family, every other table there celebrating birthdays around us was acknowledged, not us. Gratuity is listed as a "service charge" and not expressed by the wait staff when they just dropped the bill, so pay attention to your bills. We have no issue with gratuity being included, we always tip 25-30% everywhere we go (as I stated I personally know its a living for some people) but dont make me feel like youre being "shady". Not what we expected out of a Sakura and we will not be going back to see if they make improvements.

Terrible experience. I would give zero stars if I can. The cook clearly had preference in who he was cooking for at the table by the portion size. I ordered 2 appetizers for my daughter as I knew she would not eat a whole meal. She was served a meal (waitress claimed I ordered a meal) and I was charged for the meal although she barely ate anything. When I questioned Kelly in regards to the charges. Rudely, she said you got a meal though so you have to pay for it. After going back and forth she asked for the food back then fixed the prices. However, with two appetizers shrimp and fried rice. My daughter still would not have finished the food. I will NEVER be going back there. Cook terrible, waitress terrible and the manager even more terrible.

This place use to be really good food with a slightly more fun dining experience. Unfortunately in the last few years it has gone down hill. The cleanliness is really in question now. The food quality has really begun to suffer and they have raised the prices. This use to be my daughters favorite place for dinner, but now even if I ask of she wants to go she says "no thanks" I hope they come back to where they were but its been too long and seems unlikely.

This place is a great family place and the people are very nice but the food is sad! The food look good but its not seasoned at all... the sauces are all watered down and have no taste! Its all a waste if your food is not seasoned or the sauces rare even watered down where you cant even fix your food. This location in Waldorf just isnt it... taste wise! Try KOBEs Japanese Steakhouse in Largo or just look for somewhere else

The table was dirty, the servers and table chefs looked unhappy and the non sushi food was gross. I found a hair in my Chicken teryaki and an egg shell piece in my fried rice. For a $18 dollar dish, I could have gotten something similar at the mall. The sushi was good. The nigiri were really good pieces, however, the rolls were disgusting and they used really bad pieces (like they were trying to hid them).
