Ive never been to this Golden Corral before last Saturday and never have I had such a dreadful experience at a restaurant, nor do I write bad reviews concerning them- first time for everything. It was pretty crowded as to be expected but that wasnt an issue, the incompetent wait staff on the other hand was always in your face. As annoying as that may be, the problem arose whenever wed get up it was almost impossible to get back to our seats because theyd be in the way and didnt seem to move even when politely asked; quite the daunting task. We even changed seats to no avail and theyd still bump into us. Eventually after a small plate of food we ran out of there because it just wasnt worth battling the multiple planted waiters/waitresses. What a madhouse, total waste of money -never again.

At the end of the season, this has become the place to go for our sons high school volleyball team. After the very last game, which happened to be during the state championship semi finals this year, they head the bus to Golden Corral and just pig out. Is it the best food? nope. Is it fine dining? Nope. Is it fun for a bunch of teenage boys to just go in and not worry about manner or what their parents would prefer they eat, do or say... and just go nuts? Yup. Fun place. Wide variety. Patient servers and management.

This is the most disgusting golden corral I have ever been to!! The service is SUPER SLOW the womans bathroom was so gross I didnt even use it. I walked over to cvs and used theres. There was used toilet paper on the floor some of the stalls had no doors on them. The trash can was over flowing on to the floor there was urine on the toilet seats etc. And the food isnt that great either. Poor poor poor!! Will never come back to this location! Should have closed this one instead of the one in colonial heights.

As of 3/7/17 when I visited with my family they had ants all over the dividers and windows. The reason that they had ants is due to the fact that the floor is extremely dirty. As soon as I walk in you see stuff all over the floor and stuff under tables. What else would you accept? The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the food is the alright as it is a buffet. Theres nothing they can do about the ants until they change there cleaning habits. Its just going to get worse.

Very disappointed with the meal today. The fish was chewy, pork chops so over done and dry, the hush puppies could have been used on the golf course they were hard with no give at all. Why the change in way desserts are served? The cake is cut and set out so long it was totally dry and do you no longer have the coconut cookies? The pie wedges were also dried out. Needs improvement over all. Our server was excellent and detail oriented and he had a good tip from us.

Wow. Wow. Willy Wonka look out. A bonanza of great, largely quite fresh dishes, desserts abound, huge healthy salad bar is very commendable, staff is admirable in stamina & demeanor, mint chocolate chip ice cream, cotton candy, Super shrimp...yes super shrimp...the Godzilla of fried shrimp, fresh hot breads with honey spread, managers greeting the masses, amazing buffet price & I could go on for an hour...Just go. Once. And then decide!

Overall this is a great restaurant, with awesome food all for a great price for an all you can eat. However the atmosphere just doesnt seem right, theres a smoking section and when Im sitting in the non-smoking section i can smell some smoke from the smoking section. Also the staff isnt exactly nice. Yes they ask if we want refills but they say it in a fustrated way. But the food and dessert buffet are irresistable.

After eating at this Golden Corral with co-workers I ended up in the emergency room from food poisoning. It took me a full week to recover from the experience. This was the sickest I have ever been in my life. I know it was this Golden Corral that gave me food poisoning because when I finally got back to work, two of the people who had eaten there with me had also gotten food poisoning. Eat there at your peril.

I will not be coming back to this location on the Southside of Richmond....... The majority of the food is not even lukewarm. When we walked in after we paid we realized it was extremely dirty and nasty....The $32.50 I spent for my daughter and her best friend plus myself was not worth it..... Golden Corral, you have to do better!!!!!! ( Southside review only, It didnt even deserve one star)

Typically very clean, waitresses are kind and on top of refills and removing plates. However, for the second time (first was years ago and I immediately notified someone and theg removed the food) my son noticed a very small blonde hair on the top of a cupcake. Thankfully he never ate it but it did make him nervous to try another one. Usually the food quality and cleanliness is very good.

I will never eat here again. The food was disgusting. I Found a hair in my daughters food. Then my mom made a comment to an employee about the plate being dirty and when she walked away the employee started making rude remarks to my mother unaware that I was listening and that it was MY mom she was bad mouthing. Terrible! Do not waste your time or money eating here.

Not a bad spot. All the food I picked out was hot and delicious, but the remaining breakfast options were dried out according to my guest. The selection of bourbon chicken was charred a bit more than necessary, but otherwise I have no further complaints. Waitress was wonderful - kept or table cleared, drinks refilled, and checked on us constantly.

What good is all-you-can-eat if all the food available is not appetizing? This is the quintessential american buffet. Rows of mediocre food left under heat lamps too long. The variety is great, but the quality - not so much. Use the money to buy a quality single serving else well and you will still leave full and be a lot happier with your choice.

This restaurant is very busy and the food is a hit or miss. The servers and busers need to do a better job clearing off tables and keeping cleaning tools out of the dining area. The store may need a new drainage system, as the area around the restrooms and kitchen usually have a very bad odor that makes keeping your food in your tummy a challenge.

My opinion is that I was disappointed with the average buffet style food and the staff was overwhelmed by the crowd on veterans day last year.otherwise all of the staff were excellent in the performance of their duties.The food was below average & disappointing is why I havent been back as a customer
