A pretty nice place for late diner with friends and family, but theres always some servers who are better than others... I have been here several times and I mean 2 to 3 times a month for the last 3 years sometimes maybe once a month and some servers definitely are friendly and they check on you hows your food if everything its ok and have knowledge of the entire menu but the last two times we went here a guy who appeared to be from the India, male he uses glasses he took our order very friendly, and welcomed us really nice but it took him so long just to get our coffee, and then the same to get our food, not even a third of the restaurant was full I mean the section we seat at was basically been used by our table 2 people only and another table of 3 I saw this guy talking to his coworkers like nothing he never Cheked on us to ask if we needed something else we even had to call him to get our check... Hope the managers work on him, but still a nice place to get late diner, sometimes really busy sometines not much...

This IHOP is like most others that Ive visited in NoVA. Most people who work at these IHOPs are from other countries, and English is not their first language. Most of those people work very hard to please customers, and they are doing their best to achieve "the dream." Hats off to them! Although I almost always need to ask for clean eating utensils because the dishwasher hasnt thoroughly done the job, the restaurants are generally clean. This one in Chantilly is particularly clean. Also, there are usually families with wildly misbehaved children, and the parents dont know that the custom in the U.S. is to remove the hysterical child from the presence of others until the child has calmed down. I dont come to IHOP for fine dining, so I fully understand what to expect upon arriving. The food has almost always met my expectations for a quick bite. This Chantilly location is no different. Placed an order over the phone, whoever answered (male) said it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I swing by at 15 minutes to give them some time in case theyre busy. Come to see they dont have an order in the system, so they ask for the manager. The manager asks me if Im sure it was at that location, I say "yes," and even repeat part of the number for their location. He tosses his hands up in an immature manner and says, "Well theres no order." No apology or anything. I wasted my time. For average food, you expect better service. Not crap service. Bob Evans, only two to three blocks away will be getting my business for their superior service and quality of a restaurant. The manager is rude, disrespectful, and knows absolutely nothing about the customer service industry. Theres been several complaints about the manager on Google and Yelp, for nearly the same reasons, and IHOP management doesnt care about their clientele enough to do anything about it.

I been coming to this ihop for years, but sadly tonight the service was so awful, i ordered a plain pancake for my son, twice the server brought a chocolate pancake instead, on the 2nd one i told him i will see if he eats it ( he had 2 bites and left it) i told him that i need it a plain pancake, by now my son was full of chocolate milk -- when i got the bill i was charged for 2 orders of pancakes, so i had to pay for his mistake ( $5 wont kill me but its just the point) when i mentioned to the managers- they just stood there. It wasnt even worth it, i guess i will just have to drive a block more to Bob Evans and hope for better service. Sadly no respect for their consumers !! And then they wonder why they are so slow..

We came here between lunch and dinner hours and ordered a biscuit and gravy combo and a create your own omelette. The omelette came out wrong and then brought a side of cold ham to put on top of it. The combo came out with only the biscuits and sausage. When we pointed it out to the server he argued saying that was all it came with. I had to go find a menu and show him it came with eggs and hash browns. When we complained to the manager he did correct and fix the problem but I still would not come here again. I came hoping IHOP would redeem themselves from past bad experiences but that did not happen.

Why do I ever expect an IHOP to be good? Im not sure. But this one upholds the chain standard of mediocre taste and an inability to make food without too much sugar. Service is OK. Selection and price are reasonable, but please understand that you get what you pay for. The specialty is pancakes, and those they do well. Unfortunately if you are not a pancake aficionado (and Im not.) theres pretty much nothing savory. Even the savory breakfast crepes with eggs, bacon and cheddar sauce were overly sweet. And for the love of coffee, just say "no".

I went there today to treat myself for Valentines day and I was told the wait would be 10 to 15 minutes so I waited 15 minutes in the cold lobby so I decided to go back in to see when it would be calling me when I noticed she skipped my name to seat a party of 2 to couple that came after me and when I asked her about she just looked at me I will never come back to this location again!!!!

Had the pleasure of having breakfast at this IHOP this morning. My server was a gentleman named Roberto. Hands down, he was the friendliest, most competent and helpful server E.V.E.R. In addition, my food was delivered to the table piping hot. Everything was cooked as I had requested. Best dining experience in a long long time. Five Stars. AWESOME . .

The fact that they actually picked up a late night order went a long way for me because we tried other iHops close by and none of them picked up, even though they were open 24 hours. However, the prices were a bit on the expensive and unexpected side though, a burger, with two waffles and 4 strips of bacon rounded out close to $40. Thats a bit absurd.

Ihop can get pretty crowded on sunday mornings, which us to be expected. However, having a greet time of over ten minutes at 11 pm on a sunday night seemed excessive. The food is always pretty good, but the wait staff is hit or miss - either great and attentive or they forget about you for fifteen minutes at a time.

This has to be the worst Ihop by far. the manager is racist. my food was burned and when he came by and saw what type of people were sitting at the table he passed right by us didnt come up to apologize or offer a solution. my work gets food from here from time to time and we never get good service. we stopped.

Worst service and food Ive ever had and I dont have high standards. Took 45 minutes to get our food. Wrong order. Overcooked then Undercooked eggs twice disgusting,slow sloppy and poor management. And Im pretty sure we got food poisoning. Think twice before you take your chances here!
