Phở-nomenal! I totally love the chicken Phở. The broth is homemade. The owner is very pleasant. Customer service is good and fast. The wait staff is not overattentive, but available if you need something. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the meat and vegetables is great. The decor is nothing fancy, but Im not there to look at the walls. Im there to enjoy the excellent selection of fresh, delicious food. Ive become a regular. Vietnam 81 is great as a lunch option or for comfort food on a cold day.

Not worth 1 star. We showed up at 6:30pm knowing that they close at 7:00pm expecting to get takeout (vermicelli and eggrolls). The open sign was on and the sign on door said they closed at 7:00pm. As we approached the door, a man made an "X" crossing his arms as he made a stern look. That is absolutely not how you treat customers. Change your hours to close at 6:00PM.

I gave this place at 3 because their food is really good for Vietnamese its really run-down area really run-down building you would really just drive by its hard to see you have to know where youre going so make sure you have this down on your navigation before you go there youll pass it up several times and not finding it

For good pho, this is a great place to go. Fortunately it is very close to where I live. No longer must I drive to Norfolk or Virginia Beach. The best part is the fact that it tastes better too. It tastes like the pho I used to get in D.C. The broth used tastes like it is packed full of more flavor.

Awesome Pho, always fresh ingredients, and the staff is very friendly! Prices are very fair and portions will definitely fill you up! This place is one of Portsmouths best kept secrets. I go every other week. Best Vietnamese in the area!

This place has the best pho ive had in Hampton Roads. The restaurant leaves something to be desired which probably has something to do with its location in Portsmouth. Ill be coming back for pick up orders though. (In the day time).

Restaurant closes at 8p.m., when I pulled into parking lot at 7:15p.m. they turned out the light and locked the door. Then walked away like I didnt see them! Never been there and will NOT go there!!

What a find! I hope they stay near our neighborhood forever! The food is always fresh. I love how seasoned the food is. Tastes great. Oh....prices are affordable. This is the only Pho for me :)

Had the chicken soup and iced coffee yesterday. Everything was fresh and he soup had amazing flavor. Iced coffee is strong but very tasty. Most definitely recommend it to anyone near by.
