This place is absolutely beautiful. The garden areas, ponds, gorgeous flowers, a little putt-putt, shaded seating, balconies with the outside rooms, spacious outdoor eating deck, all makes the scenery so calm and happy. Inside, the rooms are amazing how they represent our presidential heritage-even giving some fun facts, some rooms have Jacuzzi tubs and all are very comforting and clean. The food is unbelievably delicious and they are always coming up with tasty filling new plates. The owners are the most welcoming accomodating and sincere folks I have ever met. They love to be apart of it all and love interacting with guests, always taking requests and changes to heart. There are so many items that are homemade such as the ice cream and the herbs are used from their own garden! Everyone here takes great pride in where they are especially the chef Will, he puts so much love and thought into each meal and it really shows! Would not recommend staying or eating anywhere else not just because of how wonderful it is now, but because they are always changing for the better

My wife and I recently spent our anniversary here. We were very pleased with the inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room that we stayed in was very quaint. We enjoyed our stay at the inn very much. My only negative critique has nothing to do with the inn, but the town itself. For mine and my wifes taste there wasnt much to do. During our stay we visited some local wineries. Which were nice. But, there werent many restaurants that we were interested in locally. If you like the water then this town is for you. But, we enjoy history and had to travel out of town to find it. The other downfall through no fault of the inn or the town, was the current government shutdown. Most local history stops were shutdown. As I said, the inn was exceptional and we had a wonderful time. But plan ahead because there isnt much to do in town.

Our recent stay at the Kilmarnock Inn was very nice! We especially liked the court yard which sits in the middle of all the house-like buildings where the guest rooms are. It is a big garden patio with a little pond and tables and chairs. The guest houses and rooms are about 4 years old, except for the main building which is 127 years old! So the rooms are all really nice and new. The staff there are super nice and the dinner and breakfast were top notch. I only wish check-out was not at 10 because we would like to have had a little more time for the nice breakfast! I definitely recommend this Inn. The owner told us where to find a small public beach close by and it was beautiful and the water was warm for swimming.

I have not stayed here so I cannot speak of the rooms and their quality. That being said, Kilmarnock Inn hosted a gathering for myself, family and friends. It was excellent. The food was very good, when I expressed a concern with food allergies I had, a special meal was prepared on the spot for me. The waitstaff were top notch and to be honest, I have a hard time finding that kind of service even in high dollar restaurants. Theyve got a great staff and I hope they pay them extremely well, because they are the #1 draw to that place and Id have no problem making it a go-to spot for a country coastal gathering.

My husband and I spent a getaway weekend at the Kilmarnock Inn and we really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. The town has a few places to eat and there are two vineyards within a 15 minute drive. We would defiantly recommend this inn to anyone wanting a quiet and comfortable place to stay for a few days.

We really enjoyed our room, the Berkley room. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The Inn was really nice and compared favorably to other B&Bs we have stayed at. The complimentary breakfast in the resteraunt was a nice touch and was delicious. I would definitely come back.

This is the first time I have stayed in a bed and breakfast, but the Kilmarnock Inn has definitely set the standard. The staff has been friendly and accommodating in every way. My wife and I traveled here for a weekend getaway, and we will definitely be returning!

Long-time visitor of Mr. Donahues Kilmarnock Inn. Always professional and always clean. Very beautiful place with rich history and an attentive staff. If youre in the area it is definitely worth the overnight stay. The blue crab eggs Benedict is to DIE for!

What a beautiful establishment. The Madison cottage is so private and romantic. The restaurant has great food and the staff is attentive and polite. The last time I stayed, the owner told me that they were adding acoustic music to the garden area fall 2016.
