Ive been eating at Del Vecchios for about 3 or 4 yrs, but I had the worst experience I ever had on yesterday. My family and friends went their to eat before the game at the Ted. The restaurant only has one waitress on staff at all times for the restaurant, so they arent prepared for large groups. The waitress didnt take orders according to who got their first. Having been part of large parties at other restaurants, they encourage people to hurry up and place their order BEFORE the large party places their order. Needless to say, we waited FORTY FIVE MINUTES FOR PIZZA! PIZZA! Then, my sister in law dropped her phone outside the restaurant on accident. When she realized she dropped, she immediately went back to retrace her steps. Her and my brother asked the staff several times if they saw anything bcus they parked right in front of the restaurant and they were acting very suspicious. My brother even asked the manager if he would watch the tape to see what happened bcus they have cameras visible. He refused. Well, guess what? The phone was found INSIDE the restaurant behind a bucket in the corner by the door! Now, if the phone fell out of her pocket, how did it manage to be BEHIND a bucket in a corner?

What is up with the new girl they have taking the take out orders? Cant spell, had to repeat things two or three times...plus very disrespectful and nasty tone. And she said she just tells people an hour for deliveries because she cant determine when they will be done, do she just makes up a time for delivery. Unfriendly compared to previous Times we ordered. It was the most excruciating five minutes I have ever spent on the phone ordering a pizza. As long as the pie meets previous standards I will be alright dealing with her again, but one mistake and I am looking for a new pizza joint!
Update... After tasting and seeing seeing product, realized we ordered from WRONG place! Soft and undercooked, the dough was pretty bad, and it was coated with that gross Cisco cooking oil... The sausage was really flavorless and bland.

Bella Pizzaria is much higher quality, and the owners are so much nicer than the girl on the phone here, though the delivery guy for this place was really nice.

So.... Try Bella and be blown away!

This review concerns the Del Vecchios at Wards Corner. I used to really love their pizza - fantastic. However, I recently had a terrible experience with the product and customer service. When we ordered a pizza for pick-up, the cashier gave us the wrong pizza. We had to go back to the restaurant after getting home to get the correct pizza. Once we got the correct pizza back home, there was a half living BEE baked into the crust. My husband called the store to explain that this was unacceptable. The unapologetic store manager finally agreed to make us a new pizza. HOWEVER, when my husband arrived at the store to pick it up, they refused to give him the new pizza because he didnt bring PROOF of the bee pizza. They claimed this was their policy and then refused to show this policy to my husband when he demanded to see it in print. Wed obviously disposed of that pizza. The customer service was disappointing and unacceptable. While the pizza is normally great, were not eat there anymore on principle. Accusing a customer of lying is no way to earn repeat customers.

My boyfriend came home from an underway and all he wanted was a N.Y. style pizza. We had heard great things about this place so browsing their online menu we decided to get their Chicago Deep dish pizza loaded with pepperoni, ham, sausage and hamburger and it most certainly was the best deep dish pizza weve ever had. We also got the fried shrimp with jalapeno cream cheese in them as well as the fried ravioli and everything was phenomenal. Do take note that deep dish pizzas do take significantly longer to make and bake so be prepared for a longer than usual wait. Though thats normal for ANY pizza place that does them. And they were insanely busy with delivery people constantly in and out as well as pickups in the probably 30 mines minutes or so that we were there. The staff was incredibly friendly and we showed up only about 15 minutes after ordering and knew we would have to wait. We were checked on frequently and made aware of our order status multiple times even though we werent asking which was awesome. Definitely highly recommended!

Del Vecchios is simply one of a kind. Their chicken ranch pizza is the best pizza Ive ever blessed my tastebuds with. I get slices of it on multiple occasions per week which may not be good for my body, but it sure is good for my soul. The service at Del Vecs is great! A lot of the employees there know me as the "chicken ranch guy" by now which I am very proud of. They always greet me with a smile and great customer service. Del Vecs also has great traditional pizzas such as cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian, pep sausage, etc. One of my roommates is a big fan of their subs, they have great garlic cheesy bread, and they also offer a full service restaurant for a fine dining experience. Del Vecchios is not just your average college pizza shop, its an experience like no other that everyone should try. They even have a Ms. Pacman table in there I mean how much better can it get? Del Vecs is great and I will continue my business with them as long as I am in the Norfolk Virginia area

Being Italian and from the NY area, good pizza is very difficult for my husband and I to find. This place is legit. The owner is Italian and from NY himself. The food was amazing! Try the garlic knots they will blow your mind. Their attention to detail when it came their salad caprese, pizza and desserts showed they put love and care into their food. It was the absolute best experience my family and I have had dining out in the Hampton roads area. Our server Leah was wonderful. We love to eat out and having spent 12 years in and out of the service industry I was so happy to finally have such great service. She gave our kids dough balls to play with, had our drinks refilled without us even needing to ask and was on top of asking us if we needed anything. She was extremely friendly and accomodating. We love this place and will now be frequent customers. If I could give 10 stars I would! Way to go guys, awesome!

I have been eating here for more then 20 years. During that time they have expanded, adding a dinningroom with access to Hampton Blvd. Increased the staff from 3 to more than I can keep track of, but they still have the best NY City style pizza in the area. Located across from OSU, They are almost always busy but the quality and taste has always been "Top Notch" . Their happy hour deals are just what the hungry students need, a couple of LG 1 topping slices and a drink for about $5.00 is a great deal.

My favorite pizza restaurant in the downtown ish area! Their Chicago style pizza is great. The buffalo chicken is also another good one. Their staff is friendly and fast. Stopped in there a couple days ago. Was having beer with my meal and the waitress had asked if I wanted another. I said yes in about 10 mins Ill be ready. As I took my last drink of my beer and was setting it down she set down my next beer. I didnt even see her coming. Can do sit in eating or take out.
