I am shocked that this place has gotten such high praises... maybe the Management hired a marketing company to do this? Or had his/her big family do it? My friend bought Amazon discounts to eat there today. They advertised $15 for $30 of food. We went there for dinner today. I had lamb and he had chicken. Here is my review: 1. The greeter/bass-boy seemed like a nice young man but he was of not an Indian heritage and clearly was not familiar with the menu. Did not even know what gulab jamun was. Then when he smiled, his teeth were rotten... 2. The vent system was either not working or kept off because the place stunk and when we left we smelled like we had been working in the kitchen there all day. 3. I ordered lamb (which was mostly small pieces of bones with a little meat on them, not much at all), he ordered chicken. We were served about 6 minutes after seating which tells me that the food was all ready and chef Mike (aka microwave) did all the last minute prep. Still, the lamb was lukewarm at best. The lentil portion was very small and served in a dish too big for the amount served (it amounted to 5 spoons). The Aloo Gobi (potatoes and cauliflower in curry) had almost no potato and was barely warm as well. 4. The Gulab Jamun was bland, mushy and basically tasteless. Overall, it sucked! The bill was well over $45 and all we had was 2 entrees, one soda and one tea, one desert... SERIOUSLY!? I am not going back for sure.

Please avoid this place at all costs. Not edible food even with a groupon. Please save ur time by giving up ur Groupon. Not worth a visit. Food not edible. Disgusting food but really really cheap:- 1. I only eat minced meat. Since they didnt have lamb seek kabob we ordered boti Tikka. The menu said that it was minced lamb kabob. The meat was not minced and so hard and uncooked that we literally felt that meat was actually served raw. It was like rocks of solidified lava. It was burnt on the outside and raw from inside. 2. Chicker chole - chickpeas were tasteless and had no flavor of tomato or onion. Gross!! 3. Garlic naan and onion kulcha were not crisp and had no butter....and almost no stuffing. Really bad. 4. Paneer bhurjee- was watery instead being dry....and was hot but lacked any flavor. 5. Tava chicken- it was edible but nothing special. If you are used to eating at Bollywood bistro, Rasoi, rasika, Jaipur......Please dont even think about setting your foot here. FYI: We eat regularly at ->Bollywood bistro, Bombay cafe, Rasoi, Bombay bistro, Jaipur, charminar, Punjabi junction, Punjabi by nature, haveli, saffron, woodlands, paradise Biryani .....we have tried food everywhere......this was the WORST FOOD experience. Other terrible places in the area are Preet palace, 1947, Curry mantra, Indian Ocean and sarvanah palace- Yet Tandoori Village tops the list for serving GROSS Food.

Ate here on Saturday and I left unhappy. I have eaten here on 2 other occasions and was happy with both food and service, so I am not sure if management has changed or what. The imposing, angry looking dude standing around looked like he was in charge, and moved me from one table to another when he saw me attempting to swat a HUGE fly, like black hairy looks like a bumblebee fly. So strike one, bugs in your restaurant that you dont have a problem with landing on clean silverware plates or food.Strike 2 came when I ordered tea, and got chai tea. I like chai but I ordered ice tea and the girl repeated it back and brought me something different. strike 3 was the spinach curry, normally I love spinach any way I can get it but this was so salty it was almost inedible and I love salt, Im not watching my sodium. So, bugs, indifferent service, and so-so food make this a no go for me. I dont plan on returning.

I had a chance to eat at Tandoori Vlllage yesterday for the first time and the food was wonderful! Its been hard for me to find an Indian restaurant that I really enjoyed since moving from Baltimore. I use to eat at a place called Kathmandu Kitchen which is excellent and have been unable to find any place that has even come close. Tandoori Village met my expectations and then some! My boyfriend and I went for the dinner buffet. He has never had Indian food and he immediately fell in love. We got there at 4:30 right when the buffet started so the food was hot and fresh. I enjoyed my favorites such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosa Chat. I also had the chance to try a few new things and they were all very good! I cant wait to go back here. They also give 15% off all carryout orders if you place your order online or call ahead. This is my new faovorite spot!

First off, Indian is my favorite food. Ive had it plenty of times at many places. Ive learned to appreciate authentic Indian through my coworkers. Now with that said... When it comes to flavor this place knows how to deliver!! Thats what Indian food is about. Spices (not spicy) and flavor. Go watch "100 Foot Journey". The lunch buffet for $10 is a steal. They put out some really high quality stuff. The Hareem was killer. Their naan is also super fresh and delicious. Service is always attentive and the decor is beautiful. They also have a nice outdoor seating area and sun room. They recognize regulars which is always nice! Looking for good Indian in the Manassas and Centervile area? Youve found it!

I went there once for the lunch buffet and will not be returning. The butter chicken tasted like a Chef Boyarde creation, the rice was undercooked and lacked flavor, and they had goat the day I went which tasted and smelled rancid, which I am positive was not how the dish is supposed to be. I tried the curried chicken as well and it was probably the best thing I ate, but I have had much better at other places in town. The hostess was nice and friendly but left us hanging for a while with our drink refills. Overall I was very unsatisfied and left both hungry and feeling sick, care of the goat dish. Never again, all these 5 star ratings are crap and full of lies and false information. Do not trust them.

This is a great family restaurant to go for a dinner. The food is excellent. I dont say this lightly because i am a native and cook the same food, however, their flavors are authentic without being overpowering. I have also catered from this facility. The owners are very personable they always warmly welcome and make a conversation at your table. I have also invited friends and family from as far away as Maryland and DC, and i was told that the food was worth the drive. Great ambiance and aesthetics.

Very nice, attractive place with excellent food. I liked that the buffet was not in the main dining area and that they put a loud group in a separate room altogether. There was a minor miscommunication somehow, in which the bhindi dish my wife had indicated by pointing to it on the menu was omitted from the order. The only other thing which bugged me a bit was that the waiter insisted that our tip be in cash rather than added into the credit card charge. This caused him to get a slightly smaller tip.
