STAY AWAY- Not because what you are going to read below which because of my personal experience but surely because of mandatory service charge (not the gratuity) of 15%.. Now speaking from my experience went to this restaurant on the way to Niagara Falls - at restaurant around 9 PM Friday night (usual timing were open till 10.00 PM) we saw chefs were leaving by 9.30 upon taking our order and there was just one person in restaurant who was serving. Anyways about food was not tasty at all - we ordered veg vindaloo which was more like a mix veg and was bland & tasteless. dal tadaka was without tadaka and watery. Naans were too big for the portions but not worth for the money. Interesting part is they charged for the pickle 2.98$ for small quantity- really on top of that they call it imported pickle? how they justify that small amount which they dont cook to sell at that price. Another interesting part is this restaurant will charge you for service charge ( no matter for what size of table / no of people you are on). We were 3 adults and two small kids and they charged us 15% (not the gratuity) but the service charge- and that really upset me. we paid almost $10 for service charge..for really no special service....we were kind of left alone in there for most part of the dining.. Rest - take risk if you want to try this place..Good Luck

I have been to many Indian Restaurants, both here and in Florida. I was quite underwhelmed with India House in Victor, NY. We had the lunch buffet on a Friday. On the positive side, the restaurant was very clean, which is very important to me. On the negative side, the Tandoori Chicken was cold, tough and dry. The coating was like a floury paste "tandoori" colored. Very weird! Some of the other dishes were spicy without much flavor; if that makes any sense. The beef dishes and chicken dishes had tough meat in them. The soups were ok. Normally we go to Thalia of India on Winton, but thought we would give India House a try. So it is back to Thalia for us!

Terrible terrible terrible food and horrendous service. The food was bland, and watery. Most of the vegetables tasted canned, not fresh or frozen. There was a limited amount of food the buffet and they ran out very early. They only had two choices of vindaloo and chicken makhani. Not very good flavors. The buffet was dirty from spills, and so were the surrounding tables. The waiter dud not come by to refill our water, ever. We just earned to get out of there. We ate the food, but will never go back. Just go to Tandoor or Thali instead!!! You wont be disappointed there, but you will be disappointed here!!

The food was ok, more bland than I am used to with Indian food. However at the lunch buffet the items were all marked if they were vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and I think even dairy free, it made it much easier to choose what we could eat. The place itself be seems a little run down and not as clean as it could be. Edit: the second time I went the food was horrible, very watery...for everything and the rice pudding tasted like it had gone bad.

Only ordered once (takeout) and we were not disappointed. We had malagatwni soup, chicken makhani, and vegetable vindaloo. The flavours of India came through with every dish. The heat of the vindaloo was a couple of notches above normal Western tastes and was a welcome surprise. We topped it off with a few Gulab Jamun balls - Yum! Saving the samosas for later- the portions are very generous.

Didnt care for much of the food and I am not new to Indian food. I have been eating it for 20+ years. I had a coupon so I have it a try. Service was great. Biryani didnt seem fresh and it was really more moist than any other I have had. Onions in the bread were almost raw. None of the food had much character. The dishes lacked umpff.

Ive been to India House out in Webster and in the city many times. My wife and I go to both of those often (we live pretty centrally between them). This location has all of the quality and environment weve come to expect of India House. The Chicken Makhani was amazing as always.

Ive been here a couple times for lunch. The food is great, and the waitress was very nice. Apparently they dont get a lot of business around that time, because both times it has been nearly empty.

Standard Indian fare. Curries were prepared better than breads. Portions are bigger than usual.Wouldnt call it value for money though, but on the expensive side for the quality of food.

Great food in this quiet little spot. They also have a surprisingly amazing beer selection which I wasnt expecting. Hands down best Indian food in Victor.

Food was lack luster. Labels for things like "vegetarian" and "gluten free" were blatantly wrong. Rice pudding tasted expired. Not worth it.
