I have been eating at China Delight since i was 16 years old (currently i am 25). i have even worked there... a few times! The owners, Linda & Frank, treat everyone like family. The restaurant has been in the area for YEARS! and few people know this... but all their food is made FRESH! I have overheard *new* customers complain about the wait it takes to get their food.... well my friends, good things come to those who wait :) I have witnessed the deliveries come into the restaurant. The veggies always come fresh ( u know those little zig-zag carrots? well they cut those themselves!) I have also seen them cut cabbage and cut whole chickens and pop out peas from pea pods... all of their food is hand made. They roll their own egg rolls, they make their own dumplings and won-tons, they fry their own crispy noodles and they will make any dish to your liking to satisfy your taste or diet needs. So much care and thought goes into the food the serve... very refreshing. Much of their business comes from regulars (like myself) who have been returning year after year, month after month, week after week, day after day. Many may say "well the atmosphere could use a little sprucing up" and yes it could i do admit... but that would also mean those low prices that we all enjoy will go up... that or portion size will go down. As a mother, a customer, and an avid food lover, when i go out to eat i dont pay for atmosphere... i pay for the FOOD! I go out to eat... TO EAT! I dont think i would be very happy walking away after paying my bill and thinking "well the atmosphere was AH-MAY-ZING, but i am still hungry, the portions were too small, i wasnt allowed to alter anything on the menu and there were no kid friendly alternatives, so now i have 2 unhappy toddlers, BUT since the atmosphere was so great i guess that $100 bill was worth it." So in closing my review is this... - if you are looking for a restaurant 1) that is family friendly 2) where the staff treats you like family 3) where the food is home/hand made(and made just the way YOU like it) 4) and a family of 4 can walk away full and happy for under $30 and you still have left overs for the next day... China Delight is for you! - but... if you are looking for a restaurant 1) that does not allow children 2) the staff is rude 3) the food is pre-made/frozen (and nothing can be altered) 4) and a family of 4 walks out w/ empty bellies and spending $60+ w/ no left overs but the atmosphere is to die for.... then China Delight is NOT for you.

I pass by this place every time I go to Earls to pick up my mail and hardware. I like Chinese food. Im from NJ, I know what Chinese food (American style) should taste like. Or so I think. ;-) So I ordered an egg roll and General Tsos chicken. I had a choice or white or fried rice. Went with the fried rice. Ready in "ten minutes". Got there in 12. Not ready. 4 minutes later, lady popped out to take my CC. Then disappeared (told me it will be right out.) It was a couple of minutes later. The place was empty. O.K. looking but empty. The carpet could use a sweeping, but nothing earth shattering. In the dining area, next to the kitchen they had stacks of beer and soda cases stacked by the entrance. Very odd. Rock music playing, not Chinese music. Food came out and I took it home. Egg roll...typical...a little peppery, but that is standard for most. The rice was nearly flavorless, yet dark brown. Very odd. The chicken...when I opened the container I was surprised...no broccoli! I mean really! I made myself a plate with the rice and four or five chunks. I cut them and ate them with the rice. You know how when you have Chinese food, you eat a plateful and then you force yourself to eat more because it tasted really good. I was done after that plate. I just wasnt interested in eating anymore. Ill let me wife take the rest to work tomorrow...if she wants it. I was hoping against hope. Maybe its the recession. Maybe Ill try it again in another year.

I have been eating here since I was 8. It was one of the first places my family went to when we moved here. To this day Linda (one of the owners) not only treats us and every customer like family but she knows when Im home from school based on our order. They serve amazing food and are really friendly. They are one of the few places that I know that let you completely customize your order, because of how I eat I order their fried rice with only egg and they always make sure that it is perfect. They are quick and always have some sort of carry out special going on. I could not imagine getting Chinese from anywhere else in the area because I am spoiled by them.

I ordered take out the evening of 9-19-16. It was awful, i ordered fried rice, white rice, general tsos bean curd, and vegetable spring rolls. The white rice seemed old and dry. The fried rice wasnt dry but had a strange flavor. The general tsos bean curd was swimming in sauce and didnt taste good. The spring rolls were large but had wayyyy to many different things and rice noodles inside so the flavor wasnt to my liking at all. I ended up trying to eat it, failed, and threw it ALL out.

Every time I go to this place there is very little food on the buffet which is only open for 2 1/2 hours anyway but today I went in and there was nothing on the buffet, zero, zilch, nothing so I shut down at the table and the waitress offered to bring me a glass of water and I said no I will wait to see how long it takes for the food to be put out Before I waste your time, 10 minutes later Im on my way to Shoneys because the only thing in the buffet is rice

This place is great! If you havent tried it you should! Its a small family owned spot but food is DELISH and customer service was GREAT! My boyfriend and I wanted good Chinese food so decided to check it out and were glad we did! I had the crispy beef, which was absolutely amazing, & my boyfriend had the crispy noodles which were also good! SERIOUSLY if you want good food, this is the place to go ;-)

I really like their food. It actually tastes better than all of the Chinese places Ive had since moving to VA- but their prices are kinda high (which I wouldnt mind if they had decent portion sizes.) I generally order a dinner combo and an appetizer so the food lasts me a few meals but I was only able to get 1 meal and a snack out of it. :(

China Delight is the best Chinese restaurant in Fburg. The food is always fresh and delicious. You can make up your own dish or alter one on the menu to suit your taste. They can even cook with less oil, no sugar, or no MSG for special diets. Linda and Frank are amazing and always remember everyone. Try it and youll be hooked too!!
