Not really too familiar with the Ashland area but I drive 45 mins up I-295 N. to I-95 N. to drop my husband off at work every morning. Well, today when I dropped him off at 6 a.m. I decided I wanted something to eat before heading back home and wasnt in the mood for fast "breakfast" food. I found Rise and Shine Diner on my google maps and headed on over because it was only 5 minutes away... I must say, this is THE best breakfast I have had in as long as I can remember. Absolutely AMAZING! I got the breakfast special (a little over 6 bucks) I got 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, 4 slices of bacon, 2 pcs of buttered toast & hashbrowns with cheese... My delicious coffee was included. I added French Toast (about 4 bucks)... My order was about $12 and I got way more food than I expected. I definitely left with a box! LOL. My waitress was friendly, very attentive, made sure my coffee was topped off, came and checked on me often. The food didnt take but maybe 10 minutes to come out. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and it was an overall great experience. The food was beyond DELICIOUS, the employees are upbeat and its a fun, clean environment with a family-friendly, old school diner vibe! I will be returning! A+ food & service!

I have reviewed and rated @Rise and Shine Diner before, but feel compelled to do so again... If you enjoy down-home diner fare in a family run non-chain atmosphere, this is the place. Staff is great...always service with a smile and warm sincere greetings and farewells. The food is some of the best diner food I have had anywhere in the country. My only challenge is that they are no longer open on weekends (good for them; sad for me). Keep up the great work!

Only 3 high chairs. Had to wait on one. Food was good. I had sausage gravy biscuits. It was way too salty. Wife had pancakes. All-in-all its a good diner but they could do better service. I did ask about the gravy. Turns out they dont even make it. They buy it. I could have gotten it from the Food Lion across the street...

The food is always good . . . great home style cooking. The service style is one that should be implemented by all in the service industry. All wait staff help all tables . . . if you need something, anyone will assist you with a smile, even the owners. If you want good food served by family, this is the place to go.

Went in just before they were closing. Ordered a cheese and bacon grilled sandwich. Girlfriend got an apple cobbler. Food came out quickly, was cheap and delicious. Go earlier in the day since they only serve breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend if you like small town diner fare. Waitstaff was excellent.

As a breakfast place I was a little bit disappointed with the omelette that I had here. It was just okay, with ham onions and cheese. It didnt seem like that on that was made with much care and the home fries were pretty bland. Wait staff was really nice though, cant fault them for having a friendly staff.

We were in town to go to KD yesterday and asked Google for a hearty breakfast before heading home... lead us here and it was GREAT. All the reviews were spot on. Word of advice... The scrambled eggs arent from shelled eggs and the pancakes are huge so dont order a seperate one for your 4 year old. Lol

I have enjoyed this place ever since Connie and family opened it and made it super wonderful. Weve celebrated family time in every configuration at least 55 times and have never had a complaint. The atmosphere is impeccably kept, the staff is extra cordial, yet professional, and the food is divine.

I eat there very often. Waitstaff not only helpful and attentive, but cute as hell. Food is always well prepared and tasty. Prices are "low" for what you get. Average lunch usually runs around $7-8. Strongly recommend
