Big Negative point is they are not reachable on Phone . Even if go in person and ask they say phone is not working we dont know why its not working ..lol crazy people ( kind of rude if they want to run the business ) Chennai Express is good for only who likes South Indian dishes. It opens at 12 noon and quantity of eat in versus to go service varies. coming to goat meat quality goat meat they use is not a baby goat meat its a normal goat so you will see more of bones and not tender meat and this type of meat is being used in most of the restaurants . Dosa is good and sambar is also good. Good place for break fast . Please do not expect Traditional Hyderabadi flavour in regards to Biryani. Its pure Chennai flavour and to go quantity is less compared to eat in. So if you order to eat in and ask for to go please pack your food as quantity is less.

This hole in the wall place was referred to us by a co-worker. We ordered Chicken fried rice and chettinadu prawns thoku. Fried rice was delicious and reminded us of the street food back home. We expected the shrimp curry to be dry per the menu but it came as gravy. However, the quick disappointment was replaced with joy as the shrimp started to melt in my mouth. My wife, who normally hates shrimp tried it and got hooked. We cant wait for our next trip to this place. If you are going to for dine in, be prepared for really long wait...5 stars for food only not for service.

No frills setting with very authentic food. Great service and with very nice staff. I got the chicken byriani and ghee roast dosa. It was simply amazing. Perhaps the best byriani in the area. The dosa was really delicious. Everything is served palm leaf plates and bowls to give a unique dining experience. The lack of decor is not even noticeable because youre so engulfed by the beautiful flavors. Save room for the pineapple rava kesari and rasmalai. It is worth the extra calories. I will be back and telling others.

The food was delicious & wait staff was both knowledgeable and attentive at Chennai Express. We learned so much from one of the owners about South Indian cuisine and how their dishes are prepared. The atmosphere is bright and lively, but not too noisy. Its a hidden gem amid the sprawling office parks of Chantilly. Favorite dishes included the Fried Eggplant curry (Ennai Kathirikkai) & the Paneer Masala Dosai. We are happy we discovered Chennai Express and will be sure to visit again.

Very very good experience at this place, very fresh food and very natural flavors , GOOD FOOD IS WORTH WAITING FOR . Good hospitality , kudos to the manager and the AMAZING "waiters" for their excellent service. Very busy at all times, still they put in their best efforts to serve you good food. Chilly paneer, Mysore masala dosa, chilli chicken and gobi manchuria is a must try. If you are planning to get some good food be prepared to wait.

The place looked nice and clean but small so will be packed most of the times. We ordered mutton kottu paratha and nandu masala curry(crab curry). Both of them tasted great and the serving portions are good too. Also they are using plant based recylable plates which is good. I will be returning to taste their dosas and their famous fried rice. May be they can remove the sofas and reorganize the tables to accomodate more people

I want you guys to treat your customers in a good manner. Include thali till 5 PM. Customers come to your restaurant according to their convenience not as per your timings. I am not telling you to open till midnight atleast do it in daytime. Very disappointed with your service and train the server how to talk to customers and tell him not to throw attitude at customers.

The wait time is more than an hour so be prepared for it. Worst customer service and I would give zero or negative star if I had an option. This place does not look like a restaurant but the front manager posses zero customer service skills and no courtesy to customers. Worst restaurant and never again to this place

The waiters there dont know how to treat the customers and I would rate it as the worst restaurant in NOVA area.

Forget about the ambience and wait (if at all) ; this place is worth it .. esp with so many crappy South Indian restaurants around in this area , this place offers very close to authentic South Indian food (very rare to find in VA). Hopefully they work on adding more space to seat as they grow in future.

The food is good but service sucks! The guy who helped me must be the owner, but he needs to improve his attitude. He wasnt pleasant with anyone, doesnt know how to smile and the way he speaks is just so unpleasant. If youre going to run a business, you need to learn basics of customer service.

A place which might look small but I can assure its much more authentic than what we generally even have in India. The food quality is much above expectations and its a must visit place for all foodies. I would recommend this place and its in my STAR restaurant list.

The food was decent but the front manager (tall handsome hunk) doesnt even know how to behave with the customers. Pathetic I would say. 2 star for the delicious food. Its better to order food for take out and avoid the nuisance.

Great service and the food is awesome. I loved eating noodles as it is similar to Indian roadside noodles. However the place is small and has limited occupancy of 20 members. The ambience is not so great.

Frozen parathas, tasteless paya soup, and for sambhar we got stuffed vegetables in a bowl. The only good thing was the taste of food was just average. Dosa was as crispy as appadam.
