Went for family dinner, 4 adults & 2 small children. Owner practically growled at us for asking for table for 6 ( they only had 2 other tables with people). After we stood 5 minutes for him to decide to put tables together, we asked for some waters & the menu. He practically threw the menus at us as he went to seat other people who had come in. Still no waters and it was hot in the restaurant as well as outside. What I presume was the dishwasher finally asked what we wanted to drink, and we were served most of our drink order AFTER everyone else who had walked in after us had been served. Then, they started taking everyones food order before us, again we had been there 10 minutes before most of the people. When i asked the server if we could place our order I was told "in a minute". I told him we had come in before the other people, he started YELLING at us. And he YELLED the same thing over & over. Again, we had small children & asked him to please stop yelling & he just got louder. We got up to leave & was told we had to pay for our drink order that we had just gotten & hadnt had a chance to even take a sip. When 1 member said to him its a shame that he would let a probable $80 order walk out the door, his response was "good, I dont have to pay taxes on it"! Everyone I have told this story to says they have had similar experiences there. Read the other reviews, the man who works here is extremely rude to customers!! If you want good thai food, go to Pad Thai on Meadowbridge Road where they are nice and have better food!

I have gone here several times before today...food has been ok and its convenient. Today was not a good day. Apparently I asked for something right after my friend did and the waiter snapped....told me I was rude and was rushing him. I apologized and said I didnt realize...he then said "well next time dont come back " and he doesnt carry condiments in his pocket. Really! He then brought the check and said "here you go..I dont care if you tip me or not". Sad to say that he was having a bad day. I took the high road and gave him a 25% tip even though he ignored me ...stayed on the telephone as I paid for my bill, while he checked me out. Im sure at this point he was beyond embarrassed! There are better restaurants around, spend your money there its overpriced and needless to say RUDE customer service.

I love Thai food and this is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. The man that gave me my order to go, not only confused me but argued with me that Thai restaurants dont serve sticky rice. The owners are not Thai and they cant cook. Pad thai was made of oil, shrimp spring rolls fell apart, and the sauce that came with it was fishy, jasmine rice was gross, hard and old. Last but not least, the mango and sticky rice desert was dripping from the container because they used so much canned coconut in it, it was drowning. Nothing was made fresh. Man also told me he was servicing to only white people who dont eat sticky rice. I could probably find better food/service at the dumpster..

If youre only going to serve very good food, you better have very good (or better) service. I ordered soup as an appetizer. And was brought a flatware spoon. Not a soup spoon. Like most people, I wont spend 30 minutes taking a gazillion sips of soup from a flat spoon. I asked the waitress to get me a soup spoon and she said they didnt have any soup spoons available. Umm OK. The bill was supposed to be about $22. Instead it was $34. The waitress blamed the error on some guy there who wrote up the check. Yeah OK. All in all the service was slow, and substandard. There were a couple of other things that I wont bother going into. Safe to say this joint is 1 and done for me.

Ive been a customer here for 10 years and have never been let down by the service or the food. This is a popular place, and if you want your food quickly on a weekend, you better call ahead. Otherwise, if your getting your to-go order, come on in, sit down and have a Chang beer while you wait. Its really pretty good. The owner "Khom" is awesome and treats regulars like family. His wife is the chef and shes even made stuff for us thats not on the menu. The decor is simple but the restaurant is very clean. Ive eaten in many Thai restaurants around the U.S. This is my favorite. I like the house fried rice and the stir fried basil leaves, but everything Ive tried has been great.

The food is great. (The ladies cooking in the back do a great job). However me and my friend didnt feel very welcomed. The owner/man didnt say hello, but more like just stared at us like "I dont want you here". After finishing our food, he was being extremely rude, he lacked conversation skills and human kindness. He forced us to tip even though we were, and we tried to be kind and small talk but he said he doesnt care and that we got to tip more and said, "the tables arent going to clean themselves". Egotistical man. The food is overpriced, but that was okay. The food isnt actually authentic Thai. The owner is actually Laos.

i love thai food and i really wanted to like this place but just dont like the food. ive eaten there twice and found both times the food isnt really like other thai restaurants: the vegetables are undercooked and the spicyness (i order #2 hot on a scale of 4) was a raw burn like they just sprinkled in cayanne pepper after the dish was cooked. also the thai iced tea is creamed with regular or low fat milk and i just like a creamier thai tea. maybe theyre trying for a healthier preparation, but I wont be back.

Other individuals said this was an authentic Thia restaurant. I disagree. The food was very, very bland. I typically order medium/hot. My garlic had no flavor of garlic or chicken. There was no spice at all. The duck flavor overpowered my husbands rice dish. My sons General Tsos chicken was passable. Overall, I have had much better Thai food. Maybe it tastes better if you are in a hurry and get carry out. Better luck next time.

I love this place, the food is fantastic, the decor is friendly and super clean, the people are lovely, and did I mention that the food is fantastic!! They use the freshest ingredients and are happy to accommodate or customize an entree to any particular taste. Every time I go in I see new faces and the same faces, they have quite a following and its such a great secret. Seriously, cant get any better than Thai Gourmet.

Hidden gem in the Ashland (Atlee) area. Good food, friendly atmosphere, family operated. Owner and his family go out of their way to make you feel at home. Recommend the crab Rangoon app, curry dishes, pad Thai. Always end up taking some home for lunch the next day. If youre in the area and like Thai, highly recommend!
