The food was good at dine in and I was very happy with it. So I decided to cater with them for an event recently and felt they are not good in catering. Firstly, the food arrived at 6:35pm (after follow up phone call), but supposed to come at 6:00 pm (settings up took another 15 mins) guests had to wait for 45 mins for their appetizers. The reason the delivery guy mentioned was they had other few big catering on the same day so they were busy and thats why the delay. Unacceptable to me. Secondly, the quantity of food. I have ordered large shallow veg biryani tray, but they delivered half tray which was insufficient and many veg guests didnt have entrée. Raita was very less for the large shallow Chicken biryani, large shallow Mutton biryani and half tray Veg biryani. The delivery guy went and brought some raita later but no point in having raita without Veg biryani. They have accepted their fault in delivering half tray veg biryani instead of large shallow tray (and asked me to pay only for half tray), but what is the point when there isnt enough food for the guests. Unacceptable to me. Size of Vada they serve at dine in and the one they catered me were smaller, I was told it will be the same size of what is being served at dine in. Not a very big deal to me, but they should deliver what they promise while ordering. Beetroot Halwa was good. The delivery guy did good job as well. I would probably dine in, but wouldnt cater with them again!

We Ordered a family pack biryani, When specifically asked if its made fresh, the person at the counter said yes. They charge around $40 for this. They brought in the tray, and the rice and the chicken looked really dry, and I told them about this (usually restaurants take the item back or dont charge the customer). They offer me to replace it with Veg biryani(probably costs around $12), and I was fine with that, and they brought me an order of veg biryani, instead of tray. No apologies nothing...I just left without saying anything. Poor customer service.

Already tried several authentic South Indian tiffin, and biryanis. Finally, true Dum biryani with rich flavors. Rice is so flaky and taste that I went overboard consuming the tastiest carbs. The chutneys and sambar with Dosas are very tasty as well which is usually not the case in many Indian restaurants. With little more cleanliness and replacing disposable plates with modern dinnerware, this place can easily be rated the best South Indian restaurant in the area. Hope they continue the great service and taste.

Great food! They hand-make everything except for the branded bottled soda, I think. I havent had a bad experience. They will accommodate dietary restrictions very well (Im vegan/gluten free). Vegans: Get the masala dosa or build a bowl with what you want. Thankfully we are right down the road from them, because we have it like every week! Ordering from the web page is super easy as well!! Definitely recommend!

Food is excellent.. Hopefully the taste and quality is maintained for a long time. Please continue making the awesome chutney and sambar. One of the best Sambar and Chutney in N.VA area. Just like home food. Suggestion: Please get more organized in making food.. It becomes chaotic when the proper order is not maintained. My order was grabbed by others twice. But it was worth the wait

The food was good and the people were really nice, however my girlfriend & I got horrific food poisoning. I normally wouldnt mention this in a review, just because its normally not common to get food poisoning and just because we got it, doesnt mean you will from eating here. But I felt as though it was good to mention just in case!

I love this place, this is definitely on my list of best Indian restaurants in the area, definitely at the top when it comes to price & quality. My favorites are the punugulu, mutton wrap, and finally my favorite item is the dosa wraps. Im definitely recommending this place to others for great South Indian food.

Unlike other Indian restaurants, Chopathi gives fresh veggies in the rice bowl. Samosa seems to be cooked in good oil. However for a rice bowl, they give very less rice. They should give at least two spoons of rice from their bucket. Have not tried other items at this place.

Vegetarian food is really good especially Tiffins and the chutneys, also the mango mousse is a must try. non veg starters and Biryanis need more flavor especially the rice. Prompt and friendly service. If you are not sure what to order just ask the cashier to help you out.

This is the best Indian restaurant all around. I Had goat fry and nattu kodi fry here and it is amazing. The texture of each item made me water in my mouth and the taste also made me feel like eating an Indian village style curries. I just loved it...!

Very tasty authentic Indian food! Coming here again in a month even though its far away from our place. Wraps, samosa chat, biryanis and cutlet chat are some of the best ones. Go for it!

We loved the masala dosa, uthapam, madras coffee and chilli paneer. The vada was a bit dense and could have been light and fluffy. Overall will come back agan to try more dishes :)

Samosas were cold. Idli and dosas were tasteless. Went there to have breakfast as they open early but that pretty much is the only good thing about them. Will not come here again.

I live in Germantown MD, visited for a birthday party celebrated in their banquet hall. Food is good. Most of the items are authentic. Definitely I will visit this place again.

The wraps are delicious. A great combination of spice and cool crisp fresh vegetables. Unlike some places your choice of protein is cooked individually for each order.

You get various Indian cuisines. Except wraps, every thing else is freshly made so expect wait time. Samosa chat is awesome. Spice levels are to the roof, watch out

Very good restaurant. Authentic Indian food both veg and non-veg can enjoy. MUST TRY MYSORE BONDA the best dish. Also try NATUKODI(country chicken fry).

Food is great but a little expensive. You can get the same type of food elsewhere for cheaper price. Definitely give it a try.
