Flavorful, fresh, and delicious food! Everything is good all around. The employees are friendly, and helpful when asked about the menu. The service was quick and attentive. Décor is typical Mexican style affair. Decent alcohol selection, margaritas are thier specialty! What I found interesting the first time I went here was that their salsa isnt what you typically find in a Mexican restaurant. The diced salsa variety, San Antonios has a more ground and smashed variety. which I feel is better suited for chips and dip. What i was told is that smashed type is a more traditional south American salsa than a picante style we are used to. Asado Puertoriqueno (medium rare) is a must try for everyone! Herbs and spices used are phenomenal. The lomo or pollo saltado, baja fish tacos, and Ceviche are also stars. I frequent San Antonios alot as they have gotten to know me and I would no doubt recommend them to anyone wanted great Mexican/ South American food.

We had ordered through GrubHub one night and it was so good we decided to go to the physical location for a late lunch. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table; however, we sat in our booth for 15+ minutes without any service. We were just about to leave when a server asked if we had been helped. We told him and he apologized profusely. He got our drink and appetizer order and promised hed expedite it. Our drinks and appetizer we ordered (Nachos) came what felt like in an instant. We were fawned over by several of the staff making sure food was good, drinks were full, and all was taken care. The nachos were delicious but the Fried Ice Cream just pushed this place over to extraordinary. We were very pleased with the service and apologies after our wait. Things happen. Its the way they respond to fix it is what matters. The long wait is the reason I took one star off for a four star rating. Definitely will go back!

Do not eat here! I used to eat at SA B&Grille with a friend before the movies but we stopped as the food became worse and the drinks were so watered down. It has been a year at least since Ive gone but I went recently with friends and became violently ill the day after. I am still suffering from the extreme case of food poisoning. The service is bad, the cooks looks gross and the place looks unkept. I am on medicine now from the food poisoning and I would not wish this on my worst enemy. If you go, you will not get REAL Mexican food, service will be bad and you may end up getting sick. Their health violations are always bad!

Ive tried to go here a few times before the listed 10pm close time and Im talking like 9:30 half an hour before close...they just turn me away and say they close between 9 and 10pm while the 15 or so folks that are in the restaurant continue eating. I worked in bars and restaurants for 10+ years and understand turning customers away 5 minutes before you close, but half an hour!?! I wish I could have rated the food.....

Always a great experience. The food is great, I have yet to find something on the menu that I dont enjoy. However, the asado puertoricanio is certainly my favorite. The staff is very friendly and ensures your food gets out fast. Stumbled upon the place when we first moved into the neighborhood. Now we are regulars and always bring our friends and family when they come to visit, and everyone is always satisfied.

This was one of the finest meals of Mexican-inspired food I have ever eaten. The woman at the next table was raving about her crab quesadilla, and how delicious it was: light and fresh; melt in your mouth good. My enchiladas were fantastic so I dont doubt the quesadillas were as equally excellent. The waiter was superb, the service matching the food. A+ in my book.

I agree with "Wheres my waiter?" guy. The service here well its hard to rate because there was none. The first clue I shouldve had was how empty this place was on a Friday night. The salsa was bad. The food was bad (when it finally came out). The service was nowhere to be seen. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

Ive had multiple items on the menu and must say. The best item is the burrito, the rest of the items are like a Mexican restaurant trying to be Italian. Outside of the food, the service is good, salsa and chips are on point, and they usually have sports playing at the bar.

Ate here with friends that had two young children. The waiters were excellent. They seated us away from the other diners, per our request, and were very patient when the kids made a mess. Unfortunately, the food was just OK. For real Tex-Mex, Chuys is a far better option.

Omg, horrible. The food is good, and surprised I have not found a bug in it. I can count 20 fruit flies on the wall and more Flying around and that is just from my booth. Place has raised their prices, reduced some of their portions, and in need of serious pest control!

Surprisingly great place, interior reminds me of restaurants in old town San Antonio. Service was fast, we had our food 10 minutes after we ordered. Food was very good in the Tex-Mex tradition, not to be confused with Mexican.

Appearance: Really needs a clean up and at least some for of refresh. Food: Not bad, decent flavors on main dishes but sides were rather bland. Service: Great, and reasonably fast. Price: Inline with a Chevys or Applebees

This is a perfect mid-priced, mid-level Mexican joint. Nothing too fancy, but very reliable. Staff is friendly, and seating is plentiful. Not fine dining, but a good casual spot.
