When youre really hungry, want an idea of exactly what youre consuming, and cant get to a real smoothie or juice bar then this will do. Very decent price for the amount of smoothie and this particular location has plentiful parking and friendly front of the house and back of the house staff! But with that said Tropical Smoothie is questionable as far as being stamped "healthy". For example I make a peanut butter, yogurt, whey protein, banana smoothie almost everyday. My smoothie is only about 15 ounces, it only takes 1 banana 1 tablespoon of peanut butter 1 scoop of whey, some soy milk and some yogurt. my smoothie same ingredients + soy milk = 407 calories. tropical smoothie peanut butter smoothie = 650?! Wtf are they putting in there (besides sugar and Splenda which isnt stated on the list of ingredients) The peanut butter smoothie supposedly of only peanut butter, protein (two options here), banana, and low fat yogurt... It produces over 20 ounces of something that doesnt taste thick like peanut butter or flavorful like bananas. If health is your goal, ask for no sugar added... Theyll then add Splenda... also specify no added sweetener. I am very suspicious of what they actually put into that blender and the quality of whatever it is. After becoming so familiar with what real smoothies taste like I cant buy that this place is producing those results.

Trust me when I tell you; this is the best Tropical Smoothie restaurant in the DC Metropolitan area. I go to this particular store on my way home almost every morning and they always fix my wrap and smoothie, perfectly. Ive been to the other Tropical Smoothies, in my travels around the city, but none of them fix the food with such love and attention to detail as the one on Potomac Greens Drive. I highly recommend this location for the perfectly-made smoothie.

I recently moved here to the DMV area from So Cal and I usually would go to Jamba Juice almost everyday...Never heard of this place but I wanted a smoothie so bad I got a sunrise sunset and fell in LOVE. It was soooo good...it only sucks that I could only choose 1 size but I drank the entire (thats rare lol)...I hope to try there food next time I visit!!!

Visited this place while passing through the area. Holy cow - the smoothies and the food here were great. Prices werent bad for the portion size, either. Highly recommend if you want to feel like you made a healthy choice (even though you might end up overeating, since the food here is so yummy).

The employees are great, so is the food and location, but the prices have once again gone up and its now out of my price range. During fall/winter it was only $2 for a flatbread sandwich from 3-5 pm even though the normal price was $4.29. Now they are $5.29. #sadface

Needed some place to kill time before a movie with my family and this spot was perfect! The service was quick and the King Caesar and Jamaican Jerk wraps were excellent...I am dieting too and everything was healthy! I wished I lived in the area
