I came here earlier this year for dinner with two friends, at their recommendation. It was definitely a trek from central DC, where I was living, but they were driving. So: I loved that they sell so many small-brewery beers in the deli/lobby part of the restaurant -- those are not always easy to track down! The wait was really long, and people were coming and going the whole time so we were scuttling around among the bottles -- I was so afraid we were going to knock a shelf over. When it was finally our turn to be seated, we were put at a corner table -- one of those long benches with tables and chairs in front of it. Another group was squeezed in next to us and we were practically on top of each other. The most important thing (to me, anyway) was that the menu was massive and EVERYTHING looked incredible, I could have deliberated until I starved to death. But I went with the eggplant parm sub and a salad, and it was so good that all my hopes of bringing half home for the next days lunch went right out the window. I saw that a lot of others ordered pizza, which looked/smelled fantastic, so if I go there again Ill definitely get that! (I heard they are closed for expansion right now, which means that when they re-open the seating wont be awkward!!) AND, I almost forgot to add, that when you eat here you are sponsoring a GREAT cause -- they help find homes for hundreds of animals each year, and sell some really great (& funny!) merch that you can buy to help them out even more!

So many varieties of sandwiches. Service is always friendly, albeit they are always using a smaller staff than a fine dining restaurant. The pizza here is so good. Its NOT NY style, but its not chicago style. Key, though...its not that ever-so-popular-in-DC Brick oven, doughless, cheeseless stuff that doesnt remind you of dinner as much as it does something you made when you were a kid with wonder bread and a toaster oven. Its a hearty, buttery, good-tasting crust with high quality ingredients on top. Good tomato sauce, and a good blend of cheeses combine for some of my favorite food tastes in the DC area. NY friends of mine scoff and say "this is not pizza!" They are correct in saying it is not like the pizza that they are used to, but it is pizza, and it is good! The sandwiches are on par, and they have a great beer selection. Dont go in blind and order some expensive beer because its expensive, but if youve missed your local brew or want a beer you havent seen for a while, they probably have it. Reasonable prices, free delivery, a bright, fun atmosphere makes Lost dog a must-go for people who live in or around Arlington. This is my favorite pizza for the price!

I had a few friends that raved about The Lost Dog Cafe, but when we went the onion rings had no onions and I made better tasting pizzas when I was a kid. We got the Rin Tin Tin pizza (sliced portabella mushrooms, spinach, red onions, red peppers topped with fresh mozzarella and basil) which should have been extremely flavorful, but it was bland and I swear you can get a better pizza crust at Trader Joes...plus there were piles of spinach just sitting on the pizza... It was the biggest waste of $30. The Lost Dog might have been a good place to eat a few years ago, but its not worth the drive or the $$ now.

I was very excited about this place, and the food was fine, but I am very disappointed in their customer service. I requested a lambic as I was very excited to see they had them in their coolers and that they were only $7.99. When I got my bill, I saw they charged me $15. Surely it must be a mistake. No - they charge more for them when you drink them there. When I talked to the manager, he said the waitress was new and was supposed to have told me there was a price difference, but then didnt offer to take off the extra $7 nor anything else to make up for their mistake. I wont be going back there again.

I order pizza from here on occasion and it never disappoints. This was my first time going to the actual restaurant and I must say it was pretty good. The atmosphere feels very family oriented, with bright colorful paint on the walls and bright lighting. We had a drink and ordered a pizza to share. To me, pizza is all about the crust. You have to begin with a good foundation to make a pizza thats noteworthy. Their crust is soft and fresh and pretty flavorful. Plus, the staff here is very nice and attentive. We had the Polynesian pizza last night & enjoyed it, but my favorite is the Pit Bull pie.

I love the pizza and sandwiches here! Literally there pizza is some of the best in town. I typical get a large pepperoni pizza with a house salad and split it amongst my friends. Its enough food to feed 3 people comfortably. If you have 4 people I recommend an extra large or 2 pizzas. The sandwiches are all great, I love how creative they are with the sandwiches here. The beer selection is outstanding and you are able to buy beer to go here. They have imported beers, domestic and local ones as well. The atmosphere here is casual and relaxed.

Lost Dog is one of the restaurants that makes me miss living in Arlington! I love the laid back casual atmosphere, usually its only a short wait to get seated. Theyve got an awesome variety of sandwiches and pizzas. My hands down favorite pizza here is the Ricky Ricotta. Just try it. As for sandwiches, Ive never ordered one I didnt like, but some of my favorites are the Billys Philly and the Cowboy. Great beer selection too!

This place reminds me of the sandwich shop that a lot of college towns have, with a ton of sandwiches with all kinds of topping combinations. Itll take you ages to work your way through their full menu, but you will want to. The staff are friendly and the service is always fast if you need to head out. The beer available there also helps make this a standout. Ive found some here that I cant find many other places.

I love Lost Dog Cafe pizza. There, I said it right out there. Weve been going to Lost Dog for years and love the informal family atmosphere and the pizza. Nothing formal here either the staff or the clients and you get a solid pizza with good ingredients always well cooked - neither over or under cooked. The fact that Lost Dog Cafe funds a rescue for dogs and cats is a super plus in their favor.

The main thing on offer is pizza, and the pizza is just OK. Sauce is good, but the dough is kind of bland and the crust is a little too soft for my preference. Id almost go to 4 stars - this place is a neighborhood institution, and has a great selection of beers. The staff is uniformly friendly. But, we dont go there very often anymore, because there are better places for pizza.

Huge menu of delicious gourmet pizzas and sandwiches. Dont let the word "gourmet" fool you, though. This is a perfect family-friendly place with a very casual atmosphere. Excellent beer selection both draft and bottle. Even have a huge selection to carry out, too. The best part is the profits support a local dog and cat rescue - both were started by the same local families.
