If you grew up on pizza from New York City, or Boston and you hate pizza in the DC area you are going to love Old Chicago Pizza. Its great pizza. They dont overload the sauce with spices and herbs and then add tons of sugar to compensate. The crust is thin and chewey like the Boston, Jersey and New York pizza not mushy whatever you would call the consistency of all the other pizzas in the area -- I dont know if there is an English word to desribe it. A regular cheese pizza has plenty of cheese -- you dont have to pay extra to get the cheese on your cheese pizza you just paid for. Ive been ordering this pizza for about 2 years and it just keeps getting better and better. I go to Boston twice a year; I always had pizza right away because I couldnt eat it down here. Since eating Old Chicago Pizza I dont care if I have it in Boston any longer. I love pizza and have considered driving to northern Jersey to get it and freeze it. Now I can get it right here. Mind you now, Im a purest and dont like any toppings so I cant vouch for them. I dont think any restaurant down here knows what a decent sub is and Im too old now to start educating them. How come they dont have decent hot dogs down here? Are natural casing franks illegal? Why are cold cuts $9 a pound? Whats with the "mystery meat?" Trust me if your from the north youll love this pizza. When I find a decent hot dog Ill make a radio announcement.

While traveling for work, I ordered pizza from Old Chicago Pizzeria because it provided delivery to my hotel. I was a bit fearful due to some of the reviews I saw, but due to being too tired to go out, I decided to take a chance. Im very happy I did. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and spoke very well. He said my order would be to me in 45 minutes (understandable during the dinner hour), however I received my order in 25 minutes! I was super happy with that. The pizza was hot and very tasty (I had the All-American). Not the best I have had, but still very good. I would definitely give them another chance when staying in Alexandria, VA.

I would never again order any delivery from this place. Food took an hour and a half to arrive and by the time it came all the food was cold and the delivery driver didnt even provide me with a copy of the receipt. As soon as I opened the door he handled me the food and walked away without saying a word. Of course I added the tip at the time of the ordering other wise would of have not tipped him anything for being so rude and unfriendly. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered the chicken Alfredo it was HORRIBLE I got it and toke 2 bites and didnt hesitate to call them back. The noodles were extremely mushy , the sauce had no flaver what so ever, and I tatsed a hint of cleaning products. The onion rings were old just had been sitting under a warmer. But they were very professional and offered to get me something else or to bring my money back.

Ordered delivery, it came sooner that it was supposed to. The prices were great for the quantity and I love how cheesey the pizza was. Also got wings, didnt realize theyd be breaded but they were still tasty! Only downside is I ordered a coke and got a Pepsi. I hate Pepsi, but it was nothing to call and complain over. I was scared to try this because the restraunt looks sort of shady but it was delicious.

Pleasantly surprised. Im in the area on business. I ordered from here because they would deliver to my hotel. I tried the stuffed grape leaves and they were very good. I also ordered the Greek delight pizza and it was! It was more of a thin crust, but no matter still very delicious and fast too. Looking forward to coming through town again.

dont eat here its roach infested its a warehouse that is cooking meals in the back stay away for your own safety there food made me nauseous dizzy and was bubbling in my stomach i was in the restroom with a towel sweating for a least 25 min i havent felt the same since fda please come look at this place its hurting people

I live in the neighborhood so ordered a variety to try: grape leaves, humus, and house oil/vinegar generous and outstanding. Marinara sauce good and baked meatball provolone sub (sauce on the side was a good idea) very satisfying. Courteous delivery within the 45 min estimated. I will def order from them again.

We ordered pizza and wings for delivery and the whole experience was excellent. The person who took my order was very polite. The delivery was prompt. The pizza and wings were excellent. Ill order from Old Chicago again. Of note, the crust was traditional, not Chicago style but thats what I prefer.

Took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food. Steak and cheese was soaked with mayo. Gross! Not good and both men who answered the phones were rude. Not at all impressed. Never will order again and taking their menu out of our office. I dont want my clients to get the same horrible service I received.

Our favorite pizza place in the area. Always get the gyro pizza (not on menu). People that work there are very nice and the owner is super friendly and sweet. Delivery always says 30-45 minutes, but it always ends up being less. Very kind delivery guys.

While visiting Alexandra we order food to be delivered to our hotel. The food was great. The white pizza was fabulous! I really enjoyed the food. The delevery was quick too. When returning to Alexandria I will definitely order again.

They have the best pizza. I love the sauce and the cheese is genuine and all the topping are fresh . I tried their wings and they are awesome. I love this store because the staff are very friendly

i just ordered a ham and grilled cheese sandwich.. i swear all they did was put a piece of cheese between bread and stick it in the microwave. there wasnt even any ham on the damn thing

Meatball subs are gross. We all took one bite and couldnt have anymore of it. Fries were mush and cold. Jalapeno Poppers aint poppin. Greek salad wasnt anything great. Overall...bleh.
