Every week on a Wednesday, Ill get an email from Voceilli Pizza about free pizza Wednesdays where you can get one large pizza and the second for free. I work for a well known Cadillac dealership in Alexandria. On Wednesday (Sept 23, around 12 pm), my coworkers and I decided to use the buy one get one coupon. At first we tried ordering online and entering the coupon code but it kept coming back as invalid. So we call. The email says if you call, just mention the email and the discount code which is CODE50. A Vocelli employee answers and I tell him the problem were having and we would like to place an order and have the code applied. He proceeds to tell me they DO NOT have such a promotion going on. My response, "Yes you do. Im looking at the email you guys sent me right now." He continues to go back and forth with me, then finally decides to tell me that he has no knowledge of the promotion at all because hes NEW. Already frustrated, I ask to speak to the manager. He/she was out of the office. Then I asked to speak to someone thats been there longer than him. Unfortunately, that person wouldnt be available until an hour from then. I hang up and call back around 6 pm. I ended up talking to another person and mentioned the conversation I had with the other employee earlier in the day. Now this person started off his story with "WE DO NOT HAVE THIS PROMOTION" then switched it to "WE DO HAVE THIS PROMOTION GOING ON BUT IT DOESNT START UNTIL 5 PM ON WEDNESDAYS." He was becoming very rude and combative. My first problem with this is you have people working there that have no clue what the hell is going on around them. My second problem is not only are you sending these emails to me every single Wednesday but NOT ONE of those emails mention that you cant actually apply the discount to your order until AFTER 5 pm. My coworkers and I faithfully ordered lunch from this Vocelli Pizza and we even referred some of our customers to them also. After this display of dysfunction and not even offering to help make the situation better, We are unsubscribing from your automatic emails and WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM VOCELLI PIZZA IN THE DEL RAY AREA OF ALEXANDRIA ANYMORE!!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I recently ordered a pizza at 645pm on 15 March 2012. I was told that the pizza would be ready in 15 mintues, but whan I got to the location (3406 Commonwealth Ave, Alexandria VA) to pick it up I had to wait almost 35 minutes until it was ready. Thats OK.....I used to worlk in a pizza joint when I was younger so I get the deal, and I really wasnt in a hurry anyway. My problem was this.....I saw the pizza put under the heat lamp almost 10 minutes before the cashier/manager notified me that it was ready. I told him that I was watching it for almost 10 minutes before he called on me and he basically called me a liar and said he just put the pizza up. I told him to have "a great day" and left. I dont mind waiting....I do mind when businesses treat their customers like dirt. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I love their pizza and their service. Vocelli was run under old management more than 6 months ago so all these reviews were in the past. Vocelli Pizza is now run by friendly, attentive, and great team. I like their fast delivery drivers that deliver hot pies all the time unlike dominos or papa johnss pizza is warm. Their dough is handmade not machine made, never frozen always fresh! Give them a chance and youll be amazed how their new management has changed. Order online and get $5 off, thats what Ive done and it is always great when you get a discount.

This pizza is excellent! It would be great when I need to order someone actually pick up the darn phone!! They say they open at 11am....at 11:30 the phone still rings and rings and rings. No answer! I order this pizza every thursday for our office "Pizza thursday". And its great when they do pick up! But I have experienced this time and time again where no one answers!! It sucks because we love the pizza, but cant seem to ever get a hold of anyone to actually place the order!! Ridiculous!

Love their pizzas. I tried this place for the first time last weekend & was skeptical since I have never ordered from there before. My order was placed at 10:02pm and they delivered within 20 mins. We ordered a few more pizzas since the first one was so good & we didnt order enough. They mentioned they were going to close soon but would prepare it for us & the manager threw in a free side. I have my new favorite place for Pizza in Alexandria. Would definitely recommend them

Ordered online, and then proceeded to call after I noticed that it had been over an hour of a wait. The manager was extremely rude, and not very helpful. You would think that when dealing with a paying customer that its customary to solve the problem and for them to leave happy to the point that theyll return. Instead Ill never order from them or support their business again.

Very disappointed! There pizza is delicious, but the owner needs to revisit his/her staff. Often times they do not even answer the phone to take orders. This pizza would be a permanent fixture in our ordering if they would operate this restaurant in a professional manner. 5 out of the last 7 times we ordered their was some bizarre issue.

The pizza was pretty good, got it delivered with an order of the cannoli. The delivery time was good anf the pizza was hot, the cannoli however, not good. Hopefully they are better if not ordered delivery. I still love Dominos.

Picked this up on the way home. Got a large pizza and breadsticks for $20. Crust is a bit bland and same goes for the pizza. No seats in the waiting room.
