In the interest of full disclosure, I currently work at Thai House, but I have been a regular customer for years. That said, I feel I have experienced this restaurant from a variety of different perspectives -- I hope to give a fair, well-rounded review of what you can expect at Thai House. I lived all over Thailand for two years while serving as an LDS missionary. At one point I lived about an hour away from the province from where the chefs are from. My wife is native Thai, and we regularly cook together. It is my humble opinion that you would be hard pressed to find another white guy who knows as much about Thai food/culture. I have been to many Thai restaurants in Utah. Some are better than others, and each seem to have their specialty. The food is usually good, but rarely is it quite the same as what I ate in Thailand. Many restaurants add extra sugar and tone down the flavor, which damages any claims to authenticity. Some ingredients are hard to come by in Utah. Thai House is the exception. The dishes at Thai House are among the most authentic Ive eaten in the United States. They go out of their way to stay true to the traditional Thai recipes and are passionate about offering quality customer service. The chefs are cheery and very eager to share their culture with you! I invite you to come by sometime! Excite your curiosity and embark on a culinary adventure! You wont be disappointed!

I have eaten there twice now. The first time wasnt much different than this second visit. I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt so I went back. I will never be eating there again. Ive eaten in a plethora of Thai restaurants and this is one of the bottom totems on the pole. I ordered my food to go so I could have a night at home. They said it would be 30 to 35 min; I finally got my food an hour and a half later. They sent me home with food I didnt order. I didnt realize I was at a fast food restaurant and needed to check my bag before I left. I ordered three full entrees, white rice, and dessert. The portions were so small I had to make more food. I will admit the food was very good, but their service is poor, it takes forever to get your food, and the portions are really small especially for the price. This meal was $45. Luckily I didnt have to leave a tip because it was take out. The first time I went it was the same. :( I have to say, Im really disappointed. Im forced to drive to Salt Lake for Thai food worth ordering.

The food here is great but the service was terrible. It took 20 minutes before the waitress came to take my order and another 35 minutes to get the food. There were 2 other tables with 4 people in each and saw only 1 person come in for a carry out so not sure why it took so long. This is the second time weve eaten here and the service was terrible that time too. Upon paying my bill, the gal couldnt figure out how to open the cash register so the waitress came to finish the transaction. From where I stood, I cold see back into the kitchen and that gal went right back to chopping her carrots without washing her hands after handling money. It makes me wonder if they wash their vegetables before theyre prepared. I dont think Ill be going back for that reason and its too bad as the food was really good.

Review for Thai House in Tooele. Food tasted good. The crab cheese wontons lacked cream cheese. The staff were nice and quick with drink refills. Portions were tiny. I ordered a curry dish, which tasted very good, but it was accompanied by an ice cream scoop of rice. More rice was an additional fee. Most places I have been to have at least triple the rice they supplied and I always come home with left overs. We ordered two entrees and one appetizer for around $30, we left hungry.

There are very few places at which my husband and I enjoy eating in Tooele, however, Thai House is definitely one of them. Their dinner portions are a great size to take leftovers for lunch the next day. The lunch menu is very tasty with very quick service. I even took my 1 year old there and they were super helpful getting us seated with highchairs and brought the food rapidly so it was an enjoyable experience for all!

Great Thai food. The only hangup is if you eat in the store with kids, know that they only have carpeted areas. We ended up eating there with a 1-year-old who played more with the rice than ate it. I felt so bad about the mess that I stayed an extra 5 minutes just to cleanup as much as I could.

Easy to recommend. Nice selection, good food that tasted fresh and made to order. Good service. Very pleasant dinner. Nit pick: top 40 music playing in the background. It was quiet, so easily ignored, but something different would have been more enjoyable.

Food was very good and quickly served, portions were large and service was fast and friendly. Place was pretty quiet when I got there about 5:45pm but was hopping with both in store and takeout by the time I left at 6:30.

Thai House is the shining star of Tooele dining. The Massaman Curry is incredible whether you get mild or super hot. Service is great too. I recommend Thai House to everyone.

Ive had the green curry twice now and love it. It is a little spicy but does not overpower the complexity of the flavor. Fresh vegetables, fast, and friendly service.
