So I used to like to go to Pizza Hut when I lived in NY. My wife and I would always pass this place by and I would comment, “Hey babe, want to get a Pizza at Pizza Hut ?”, and her response would be to shutter in her seat and contort her face. I took that as a no and continued to drive towards home. I continued this ritual for the next year. Finally, I must have caught her on the right day as she was so hungry that she actually said “Ok”. I admit the building does seem a little shabby from the out side. I figured it would be up to code at least from the inside. Right? Well I was wrong. First thing we noticed was the appearance of the staff. The inside was dark enough not to notice the lack of cleanliness. There was only one other table with clientele dinning at this establishment. So, I walk to the counter. The kid behind the counter was a young teenager with greasy black hair and he seemed kind of “Goth”. His black jeans were pulled low, and his hair kind of hung over his pizza hut visor to one side. He looks like he had not washed his face in a while, but I know what its like to work in the kitchen and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. So my wife and I ordered. I got some pasta dish with red sauce and she ordered a pasta dish with vegetables cooked inside it, some sort of pepper and onion style pasta dish to be exact and a soda. She got a cup for her soda and we went to sit down. Instantly I am getting the “I told you” dirty look from her. I can see what she is thinking in her eyes as she starts to look around in fear. The kid from behind the counter comes out onto the floor. As the light is stronger and there is no counter to protect my vision from this employee, you notice that his underwear is showing more than I thought it was originally due to the black pants being pulled so low. Strange that the pants would hang so low as he was wearing a black Gothic leather belt. Nothing against Gothic fashion but damn kid, change your “tighty whities” already. So my wife starts looking at this kid with intense interest. She begins to tap my arm telling me… Look Look …. No crap honey I see him, I thought to myself. The kid makes a B line to the pizza hut salad bar. He begins to pick vegetables out of the salad bar with tongs and place them in his dirty little cupped paws. He picks through the vegetables… red peppers, green peppers…. Onions… hmmm. My wife says to me “You don’t think that he is using those in my dinner ?” . What could I say… that’s exactly what I did think. He took his cupped hands loaded with the selected vegetables and scurried back into his lair behind the counter. My wife begins to panic a little bit. I am hoping she is not about to loose it because there is nothing more dramatic then a Brazilian wife getting upset in public. Then from the kitchen once again comes the young stud with his pants pulled around his ankles. He dashes once again to the salad bar. This time he scoops wads of cheese into his unwashed and filthy mitts. He holds the cheese close to him and turns to walk back into his laboratory or madness (That’s the Kitchen). Minutes later out comes our food. My wife has by now put two and two together to calculate what health hazard has occurred before her. She stands up and demands we leave. We go directly to the manager and tell him we are sorry but we cant eat this food. Well, that’s what I said. Then my wife added her own commentary into this conversation. All two people in the restaurant were looking at us. It was embarrassing and once again my wife was correct. Some times I still ask her if she wants to stop for a pizza as we pass by this Tooele fine dinning establishment. But when I do I am really just joking with her. I am the only one who finds this joke to be humorous however. So the moral of the story is that you should not expect pizza that is approved by OSHA should you not heed my warning. Enjoy ! Then call the health department please .

I manage a motel that is 2 miles outside the delivery area of the Tooele Pizza Hut. In March of 2008, we were republishing our INN room books; I spoke at length to the Pizza Hut manager and we decided to work together to provide some limited delivery to our guests. She was very understanding and we agreed that for an addition $2 delivery fee they would deliver between the hours of 4P.M and 7P.M. when there was an additional delivery driver. Then in July a guest called for a pizza and his order was taken, after an hour he called back and was told that they no longer delivered to our hotel. I then called the manager the next day only to be told that they were under new management. I tried to contact the new manager for the next several days when I was finally able to speak to him he was very discourteous and spoke in a very derogatory fashion about our guests (our hotel is by a truck stop). I explained to him that their restaurant was highlighted in our INN Room books and we would not be republishing our book until the following spring. Several weeks later a guest called again for a pizza and was told that they didn’t deliver. The manager of Pizza Hut then called and YELLED at my elderly front desk clerk. The next day I tried to contact the manager again but was unable to so I asked for the district managers name and #. I called and left a message for her to please call me back but have never heard from her. I then emailed pizza hut corporate office (twice) and never receive a reply. So we have changed our INN room books and have also removed any mention of Pizza Hut from our sister hotel in Tooele. I would like to let other businesses that are thinking of doing business with this Pizza Hut to think again.

I am usually not the one to write reviews, however, we have had a couple of bad experiences here so I thought Id share them to let others know so they can avoid it happening to them. I am giving them two stars only because the second time they were nice and gave us our money back. The first time we went there, we ordered two pepperoni pizzas and when we went to pick them up, there were no pepperonis and it looked like it had been sitting there for at least 45 minutes. Mind you, we showed up 15 after we placed our order. We let them know we ordered pepperoni and they took the pizzas back, and sloppily threw some microwaved pepperonis on our pizza. We got a discount on our order, so I didnt feel the need to complain, when clearly we should have said something. That was our bad. The second time was tonight. We ordered wings, breadsticks, and the new grilled cheese stuff pizza. I opened the wings and it literally had white chicken feathers on and around the wings and our pizza was cold, so we had to reheat it. I called them and they took the wings off which was nice of them. I appreciate their customer service, but we will never be going back here again.
