Ill start out by saying, I LOVE Chipotle. Ive been eating there since 2004. I always get the same thing too. Im not one to normally write reviews, but the experience I had at this location left a bad taste in my mouth. I always order a steak burrito with grilled peppers and onions, no beans. When I was asked what kind of burrito I wanted, I responded with "steak burrito." They started making my burrito and when it came time to put on the peppers and onions, it turned out that they were "out" of peppers and onions. Not a big deal as Ive come across this situation before. Usually they have them already being prepared. The longest Ive waited for peppers and onions to be prepped is 10 minutes. And I really dont mind waiting because the food at Chipotle is so good. However, the way the staff member reacted is what bothered me. Instead of saying they were being prepared or even apologizing for the inconvenience or perhaps offering me something else to try, the associate instead tried to rush me through the process of making my burrito. As a manager of a restaurant myself, I understand the importance of speedy service, but quality of customer service is important too. I stopped the associate before continuing with the burrito and said I didnt want to order it anymore if there were no peppers or onions. He took the tortilla with rice and threw it in the trashcan without saying anything and proceeded to the next customer as if I didnt exist. I could visually see on this individuals face that they were totally put out and annoyed with me. I was very kind and patient with the person and to be treated back with such blatant contempt is something I dont appreciate. It wasnt even a busy time of day when this happened. I understand that it can get very busy and stressful in the food industry, but if thats not something that you can deal with than perhaps you should reconsider your job. I will personally never go to this Chipotle location again.

Full disclosure: I love Chipotle. I dont eat here often enough because I live so far away but I still get there half a dozen times a year. The food is very consistent. The only problem Ive ever had with it is done over-salted beans (not at this location). For me and others I know, the trick to Chipotle is figuring out what you like. That can take a few visits. My girlfriend isnt big on spicy food or burritos but once she figured out that the quesadilla is delicious and their chips and guac is the best around, she started liking it. I like the burrito with white rice, black beans, chicken, hot salsa and sour cream. Sometimes I get the cheese but it can actually run the taste of they put too much. Anyway, much love for Chipotle and this location is great.

I just dont get this restaurant. The food is not nearly as flavorful or fresh or hot as what you get at Costa Vida or Cafe Rio or Barbacoa or any of the other fresh Mex places. Flavors dont stand out; meat is dry. The little cardboard dishes on which meals are served are odd. The decor is sterile and I just dont get it at all--tin with spot lights, black and white photos, white maple wood, industrial-looking Mayan-ish wall art, garbage cans that are framed by weird metal surfboard- or space-capsule-looking things. When we left my wife said, "I could be happy never going here again." And she was right. It doesnt have anything to do with this particular location. Their whole concept just doesnt make any sense to me.

As I was ordering my burrito, I asked for a "little bit" of hot sauce and the guy behind the counter drowns the whole burrito in it. Then I asked for a "little bit" of guacamole and he dumps this 3" diameter giant dollop. The lady checking people out looked like she wanted to murder every customer and overall it felt like a soup kitchen just trying to herd people through as quickly as possible. One of the worst service experiences Ive had. Now for the food: it wasnt very hot coming out of the kitchen and if you eat the rice you will literally taste nothing but cilantro. I also ordered the barbacoa shredded beef and got several pieces of pure fat. Not acceptable.

I came in here with 20 minutes to get my food ordered. There were only 3 people in line, so I wasnt worried. ALL of the employees spent the next 10 minutes or so working on an online order. They finally started taking orders from the people in line, which took up almost the rest of the time. By the time I finally got up to the counter I had no time to spare. The woman working there looked at me and said "hold on, Im going to work on this other order now." Meanwhile, customers were backing up behind me. Unfortunately, I had no time to wait anymore, so I had to leave dissatisfied and hungry. They really need to be more efficient.

I got through the line pretty quickly during the lunch rush. The staff was friendly and definitely knew what they were doing. The place was really dark, as all the windows face the north and west. Really minimal decor too, nothing was really saying, "stay and eat a while." Tables were clear, but not wiped down. The food itself wasnt bad, but wasnt the best either. It just tasted like really really good top notch Taco Bell. (I got a Barbacoa Bowl). Im not going out of my way to eat here again, but I wouldnt refuse if someone wanted to pay for me. All in all, I dont see what the craze is about.

Tasted good, but overpriced for what you get. I paid $7 for a burrito worth maybe half that, probably less. My burrito has lots of rice, lots of beans, lots of veggies, very, very, very little meat--this is not a quality of a seven dollar burrito. And this wasnt a one-time thing; Ive been to Chipotle about a dozen times in three different states, all with the same result; I get skimped every time. Ill stick with Betos. At least I know I can get my moneys worth there. Chipotle is overpriced and overrated.

To preface it has been a bad day. I wont get into the details but bad things happen in 3s and the third happened this morning. Figured I would get out of the office for lunch. The line at Firehouse was too long. Went to Chipotle to find a line equally as long. When I got to the checkout the cute redhead lady asked how my day was going. I said "good, you" and she said "its going". I said "yeah actually, mine is just going too, it isnt good at all". She comped my meal and said "hope it gets better" :)

Ill start this off with, I could make a lot better burrito at home by my self... They put all the meat in the bottom of my burrito, so my entire burrito was rice and beans. I had a nice big scoop of avocado in one part of my burrito. You would hope they would spread out their ingredients so it tasted good throughout the entire burrito instead of getting a big bite of each ingredient depending on what part of the burrito your eating. Very unsatisfied and disappointed.... I will be taking my business elsewhere.
