Decent pizza, forgetful waiters, shameful desserts, good coffee The pizza we ordered for the table was decent, it had good flavors, although the sauce could have had more flavor. We were a large party, so I understand it gets more difficult for the waiters, but it would help them to actually write our orders to not forget items. We tried multiple pizzas, including their special, cheese and one with prosciutto on it, but its far from a great Italian one. The desert pizza was advertised as having a lot of Nutella, but all we got was a baked dough with some strawberries on it and a little Nutella drizzle. The tiramisu, however, was shameful. It came as a cold blob in the jar and it clearly was not made to order. It lacked any coffee flavor, the lady fingers are supposed to be soaked in coffee for that rich flavor, which ours did not have. Others at the table were also disappointed with the tiramisu. The espresso, however, saved the day. It was made from Illy beans (at least I assume, since the stuff it came with had the logo on it). That made it feel like Italy. The reason Im giving 3 stars is the following - it lacked the fantastic quality for 5 stars, so I would give 4. The terrible tiramisu then brought the score to 3.

Authentic Pizza, Authentic Gelato, and Authentic jerks. Terrible service. I always come here and I went after a jazz game during a weekday. I got there at 945 and they close at 10 so I felt ok that I got there before it closed. The server was upset and said they were about to close and I said but your sign says until ten and he said ok well you have to be quick. I was a little taken back that me a paying customer who wanted their service during their hours. The server was treating us super rudely and acted as if it was the end of the world that we wanted a pizza. I then sat down and was about to order and the server came over and said they are closing you need to order now, I was ready to order and he was being super rude. I said just forget it man no big deal then. He then proceeds to charge me for the coke I ordered and it was still 950 at night when I left. I have never been basically kicked out of a restaurant in my life. I guess there is a first for everything. Not once did the server apologize or anything and he still made me paid for my half drunken coke I had ordered. Sad to say one of the best food places in SLC will never have my business or my wife and her families business who are originally from Italy.

Just to be clear, this is very good pizza for the type of pizza it wants to be. You cannot compare Chicago style to authentic Italian so this review assumes that you are seeking delicious authentic Italian pizza in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ingredients are excellent and I believe that they locally source as much as possible. The crust is very good and appropriate for this type of pizza. I am the type of person that generally likes a lot of crust if I am making my own or choosing between a variety of crusts, but like I said, this review only applies to this style of pizza making. You will not likely be disappointed with anything that you order here. If you are then your expectations are likely off. I have tried most of the pizzas on the menu but nothing else really so I cant speak to salads or desserts.

First of all the pizza is definitely Italian. Be prepared for a soft and pliable crust with nice chew toward the outer edge. Unfortunately, like most all Italian Pizza the center section is wet and swampy which lessens the pies desirability. The wet chewy is just not my type. The ingredients are fresh though and thats always a help. Unfortunately, the service was morose so make sure you check your waiters pulse when you place your order. Also, the employees dont know their product. Ask them if they use Caputo OO and youll get a blank stare. The lunch ticket for the three of us was $75.00, way too high. Ill be hitting Pizzeria Verasano in Atlanta for Christmas 2010 and Pizzeria Bianco in the spring, definitely big steps up. Grimaldis in Las Veges is better than Settebello.

This Pizzeria is truly the closest pizza you will find to a True Napoletana Pizza. Ive even had pizza in other places in Italy that werent this close. The pizza in Naples is perfection and this is close. They are registered by the Vera Pizza Napoletana, which means everything. Ingredients and cooking methods must be certain way. Enough about the Pizzerias accolades, their pizza is amazing. Ive been frequenting this place for about 8 years and Ive never had a bad pizza. They use the best ingredients and match authentic Italian Pizza recipes, right down the smoky burnt pieces of crust. A personal, off menu, favorite of mine is the Quatro Stagioni (four seasons). I recommend any of their pizzas and ANY of their locations to anyone wanting to try authentic Italian pizza.

Settebello Pizzeria has exceptional pizza that is not your normal run-of-the-mill pizza place. This is authentic Italian pizza that is fired in a real brick oven. You can even watch them cook the pizzas right next to the dining room. I have traveled all over the world (I have been to 6 continents, 30 countries and 45 of 50 states in the USA) and in my opinion this is the best pizza I have ever had! I have even been to Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, AZ which Oprah has declared has "the best pizza in the world". The pizza at Settebellos is similiar, but in my opinion, it is even better than Oprahs "best"! I give Settebellos five stars and would give it more if I could. It is a definite must visit for anyone that goes to Salt Lake City.

This is a pretty cool spot to come eat at. Theres plenty of room for a lot of people. Their service was great and friendly. We got to this place at around 5 so it wasnt busy. The guy that served us told us about the types of cheese and ingredients that go into the pizza and how its mad fresh in a wood fired oven. We ordered the Diavola Pizza. He also recommended a couple options of great beers to try out. I chose the Pyramid Hefeweizen beer. Its a great beer of choice if youre indecisive. The pizza was freshly made which took a little longer than I expected but it was fine. You can definitely taste the fresh ingredients so it was definitely worth the wait. I wish I lived closer to SLC come back! Im so glad we picked this pizza spot.

Settebello is, according to locals who fancy themselves experts on this type of pizza, very authentic and fantastic. Few of our Salt Lake City attorneys or staff have been to Italy to know whether or not it is authentic pizza, but we do know that it is delicious. If you decide to go to Settebello then plan on having your own pizza because that is what it will probably take to fill you up. If you are kind enough to invite friends then you will likely get to try a number of pizzas, which is the best way to go about things. Some of the toppings are a bit strange to Utahns but you should try everything you can because it is all good.
