Food and service was good. Ended poorly though. The only reason we came to the restaurant was because we were gifted a gift certificate from friends. The gift card was purchased through Open Table. Server said they did not take those gift certificates anymore. Argued with him for a bit, then we asked for the manager. Manager came and said that there Phoenix location doesnt accept those certificates but that the Scottsdale location would. We explained to him that no where on the certificate does it say which location it is good for. After a few more back and forths he refused to take it and we didnt want to make a scene, so we just paid without being able to use the certificate. We are disappointed in the outcome but more importantly in the way it was handled. The manager could have been more apologetic and acknowledged the points we were making. Clearly if this has been an ongoing problem, then something needs to be corrected on their part.

After a rather unpleasant flight into Phoenix that ended up putting us in the city past when many other establishments were closed, we were delighted with the experience here at Pomo. We called in an order, and even in the brief time we were there, the staff made a good impression! While Im sad I did not catch his name, the blond gentleman with the beard helped us out in making a last minute addition to the order, as well as several other minor things. This of course is glossing over the food itself, which was also quite enjoyable! My brothers pasta alla carbonara evaporated before we even made it back to the hotel, and while the rest of my family hadnt ordered food "because were not that hungry," they seemed more than happy to help themselves to some of my pizza Principe once they saw it. TL;DR: great service, great food, highly recommend any time you swing through Phoenix!

Ill get to the pizza at some point in the review. When I think of Pomo, all I think about is how much I want to bathe in a bathtub of that limoncello and drink it slowly in a tasty lemony boozy death. Is that creepy? Sorry, its just really really good limoncello. Alright on to the food. We got the veggie antipasti and the burrata pizza with a couple of beers. The antipasti was just some peppers, zucchini and eggplant slices, nothing fancy. It did however come with a really flavorful olive oil that was perfect when doused in everything, including the pizza. The Burrata pizza was fresh and simple, nothing out of this world but correctly executed. I was unfortunately too full to order dessert but the fried dough at the end was a nice finish, but I still needed 23432423 more shots of limoncello. Damnit.

Do not miss this place if youre looking for a great pizza and meatballs!!!!

Top Notch Customer Service! - They Treat the Customer Right, and The Best Pizza Ive had in a long time. Highly Recommended. Pomos soups are Excellent and if you enjoy soup, you should definately try them. Their pizzas come out quick, no long, long waiting time, and they have the fresh ingredients. Simply the best! I was there last week, 30 minutes before they were closing, and I was leaving a party just entered, and asked the waiter "is it too late?" and the waiter responded "its never too late, we are glad youre here, have a seat". This day and age that type of greeting 30 minutes before a restaurant closes is rare. I highly recommend this place.

Pomo is an incredible combination of impeccable food and service. My girlfriend and I were seated and given water. It took maybe 6 minutes for our server to get to us, she apologized profusely and offered to buy us our drinks. I refused, but it was a very nice gesture. We had the meatballs as an appetizer, and the Pomo. Both were amazing. The crust is perfect, and you can tell all of the toppings are fresh. After our meal, we were given shots of limoncello and a small dessert for our "long" wait. Our server, Alyssa, and the general manager were both so friendly. They definitely know how to get repeat business! Thanks for making our date great!

Were pretty lucky here in the 85018/6 neighborhoods in that we have some of the best pizza in the country so it takes a lot to drag me out of the neighborhood. Pomo is one of these few places and it delivers! If Neapolitan pizza is your thing, this place is it. Youre going to have to wait...and wait, and wait for a table but the staff will keep you happy with great drinks and appetizers until you get a table. Keep in mind its a small place and the waiting area is outside so summers can be a bit tough but the restaurant itself is cozy, quaint and the pizza is unforgettable!

This is the genuine article. My wife and I spent weeks in Italy, including Napoli, for our honeymoon and this brings back so many delicious memories of the true Italian pizzas in Naples. But Pomo is no one trick Italian pony, the tiramisu is the best my wife and I have ever had (and she doesnt even like tiramisu the mushroom soup is mind blowing (and I dont like mushrooms), and the millefoglie is her favorite dessert every time. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every dish. Ill definitely be back for another margherita or bufala verace pizza before too long.

Napoletana is the way to go. Anywhere we find a Napoletana style of pizza, we go. Weve tried many, many places and this place is our second favorite (after San Francisco). The salads were delicious, and we tried the bruschetta too. That could have done it for dinner for me, but we had to try the pizza too. The crust was amazing, light and flavorful. The cheese melted beautifully, and the tomato sauce was sweet and tangy, perfect combination. Service was good, a little slow, but good. This is the place to try if you wan to have good pizza in Phoenix. Dont miss it!!!!

It has been a few years since we dined in at Pomo and wondered where it had changed. The service was impeccable for a busy Saturday night staff were working well and coordinated to provide a smooth and efficient service. After placing our orders we were impressed with the fluidity with which everything arrived, fresh hot and tasty. A pleasant change was no big pressure to buy or refill drinks. After we had eaten complimentary Lemonchellos and a sweet flaky crisp to round out what was an excellent night.

Possibly about the worst service ever. As a chef for over 20 years and owner of a food establishment I expect my servers to know how to pronounce what is on the menu, as well as know what is on the menu. First was served a white wine when ordered a red wine. Then waited till after we finished appetizers to take the order, then another 10 before telling us they would put the order in. Appetizers presentation was garbage and expensive for what we recieved. I will not come back.

The food was very good, we ordered the pomo and toto sapore pizza, tiramisu and nutela cake. It was all very good. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is casual and family friendly. However the service was lacking, our server was more interested in carrying on conversations at the table behind us then providing us with service. The owner/manager provided us better service then our actual server did. I may return but the service would have to improve.
