AVOID! Best Italian in the city, but utter garbage compared to real Italian or Europan cuisine. Overly soft noodles, runny sauces, too much oil and salt. Dogs are allowed inside. PROs + Great for people who never travel outside the US and if you are unable to compare cuisines + Open on a Sunday when the entire mormon city is dead (the only people outside on the street are the homeless) + Friendly staff + Ok for only drinks or coffee CONs - Overpriced for the quality of food - Too much choice (better focus on a limited number of dishes and get them right instead of going for sheer quantity) - Slow service - Bland, boring, tasteless food which is supposed to mimic Italian foods but fails in every single taste department. - They let dogs inside - No penalty when leaving food unfinished on the table. Too many people, tourists and increasingly youngsters (who have no income, work experirnce and thus no valuation of money) order many different dishes just to take photos and make duckfaces while there are a lot of hungry homeless people trying their best to stay alive outside in the cold, rain and even snow (depending on where you go). I believe every restaurant should have the moral duty to impose fines for those who do not eat their ordered food or do not bother to at least take the edible remains back home or donate to those in need next door.

I grew up in the NYC area, so its not often I find a pizza place out west that I like. That said, I love it here. Its small, casual, and humble with friendly servers. Its the kind of place where they remember your name and what you like to order, if you come often. Everything is made with quality fresh ingredients. If youre not in the mood for pizza or a calzone, their Blue Chicken Salad is a good lighter option (chicken with melted blue cheese over greens, peppers, & veggies - try adding cooked spinach on top with the melted blue cheese & chicken).

I eat here all the time. Its a small little place but I dont mind sitting at the bar and Ive yet to really have to wait to be seated, so it works out. The pizza is delicious. I get calzones and have been exploring the menu for the past month or so, once a week. Recently tried the Combo and it may now be one of my favorite dishes. The service is great; my drinks are filled regularly and theyre always polite. Im prone to tip well in response. I highly recommend you try the Rusted Sun. Its my wifes favorite place to eat and thats not likely to change.

This is probably my favorite pizza place in Salt Lake. Theyre a good balance of unique and traditional pizza flavors without being overly fancy. The staff is always mindful and in a hurry to meet your needs. The food can take some time to cook, as its made to order. The prices are reasonable, particularly the lunch special, which at the time of this writing includes a refillable soft drink, one large pizza slice, and a fresh salad. Wholly recommended.

If God owned a pizzeria, this would be it. Calzones are of high quality, made to perfection! Cozy atmosphere, great servers. Did I say *Great* enough? Expensive, but well worth every penny. Theres no way this place deserves anything less than 5-stars. Probably 7-stars! Great for family dinner at the booth, or just hangout with buddies at the counter.

Great little place to get the best Calzone is SLC! Not the place to have a large group with the limited booths and few bar seats. Pizza is good the appetizers are ok and small list of craft beer and only a few on draft. Staff is great and friendly but not to be rushed, its a great place to take a minute and enjoy fresh hand tossed dough!

This is a simple and small pizza shop, playing chill Grateful Dead music, which we needed after hours on the road. excellent food, pies are nice and crispy and delicous whole milk mozzarella! relaxing atmosphere, service is awesome. Wish we could come again! Largest table seats 7 comfortably, but has four other booths seating 6.

Great pizza. Its a bit higher on the price spectrum, but well worth it in my opinion. Its billed as New York style pizza, and while its not really classic NY style fold-able pie its really good none the less. We make it a Sunday night thing, and its consistently great. Pepperoni, mushroom, and black olive. Yum.

I never thought a calzone would make me so happy. What an awesome little place! Theres nothing better than coming with friends and chowing down on a barbecue calzone with all kinds of tasty things inside. Right up there alongside deep dish straight in Chicago for best pizza thing Ive had in my life. So good!

This place is awesome and I would highly recommend you go. Pizza is delicious, staff is unbelievably friendly, place is clean and comfortable, right down the street from the courthouse. Im the cliched "New Yorker" from the Bronx that loves and knows good pizza when I taste it. Trust me, this is GOOD pizza!

This place is small and they have a great staff. The pizza and food is excellent! you cant really go wrong with anything on the menu. They pizzas are cooked to perfection, I would say this is one of the top pizza places in Salt Lake City. If you are in the mood for some pizza give this place a try!

I was hooked when I tried their plain cheese pizza. I knew if they could do something simple so well then the rest of the menu should be awesome. Weve been going to Rusted Sun for 9 years for our favorites like the Mediterranean and Veggie pizzas. Seriously good pizza and calzones!

Weve tried a few pizza places around Salt Lake City, Rusted Sun wins hands down as our pizza go to place. The whole staff made us feel so welcome. Their customer service skills added immensely to our scrumptious experience, so unexpected, thanks Rusted Sun.

This is the best Pizzeria in Utah. It is small, hard to find parking and always packed but is well worth the difficulty. My personal favorite is the Roundup Calzone which is AMAZING. Seriously, you owe it to yourself to check out Rusted Sun.

Nice vibe. Excellent food. Good service. We were a party of eleven at lunch and we tried a wide variety of the salads, pizzas and sandwiches. Fair to say that everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. This place is definitely worthy.

Eat here!!! At first I was unsure because of the small size, but the pizza was amazing. One of my favorites now. Definitely recommend the bread stix with cheese dip. Two waitresses and one cook, but they do work cranking out the pizza.

Yesterday I ordered a salad but in the mist of a rush they forgot a couple things. When I called in to let them know they kindly offered me a free meal for today. Super great food and ABSOLUTELY wonderful customer service. Thanks guys!!
