I went here for a special occasion and ended up having a terrible allergic reaction due to their poor food preparation practices. I have a tree nut allergy and asked to try two nut-free flavors. Immediately after putting the second in my mouth I could tell I there was a nut in it--my mouth and throat started itching and feeling like sandpaper. We asked the girl at the counter if they had nuts and she said no. Suggesting--not apologizing--that perhaps there was contamination from the adjacent pistachio flavor. I had some water to clear my mouth and sat outside for 15 minutes while my boyfriend ate his gelato. The reaction seemed to subside so I went back in for a complimentary cup. I got the "white wine" flavor that I sampled earlier--the one that wasnt adjacent to the pistachio. After having two spoonfuls I realized THIS WAS THE CONTAMINATED FLAVOR!! The counter girl was wrong; the problem was Dolcettis horrendous food prep practices! The nut was IN the gelato. But not listed on the ingredient list. We went home, my mouth and throat felt like someone was grinding it with a power sander, I felt nauseous, queasy, sick, my whole upper body was itching, my lungs became tight and I had trouble breathing, my eyes were watering, I got in bed, took Benedryl, and had several puffs of an inhaler. I almost had to be stabbed with epi pens. TERRIBLE... It ruined the entire evening and night. You, reader, may not have a nut allergy, but the obvious broader lesson from this is: Dolcetti cannot be trusted to make a high quality product. Making gelato is neither difficult nor complex. They should be able to separate the nuts from the bolts and clean up afterwards. Theres no tolerance for this type of screw up. (This was written by my boyfriend and approved by me, as we sat in bed.)

The staff has been rude each time Ive tried coming into this Gelato shop. Ive been here well before closing time on each occasion, but their response has always been that they are closed. Most recently, I tried taking my wife with me, and even though we arrived within business hours, we were turned away while people continued ordering and eating both inside and on the patio as they said they had closed. I cant recommend this place since theyre always closed. The location is great, and the food looks good, but a customer shouldnt be turned away each time he/she comes to visit on a vacation.

Good gelato, but nothing breath-taking. I am by no means the end-all critic, but nothing compares to Italy itself. The atmosphere is extremely laid-back and comfortable with decor to match. Plenty of seating inside, but not too much space outside. They offer a variety of goods, almost exclusively specialty goods, but I only tried the gelato. Possibly a little pricey, but you generally realize its going to feel expensive when youre buying gelato.

The gelato is exquisite, and the staff urged us to try many different flavors. They were really passionate about the flavors and origins of the ingredients. While I ordered my gelato, a home made waffle cone was made behind the counter right then, and it turned out to be the best waffle cone Ive ever had. Crispy and buttery. Everything was excellent and memorable! So were the macaroons I took home and ate later! Well done, Dolcetti Gelato.

Bursting with delicious and creative flavors! Theres a wide and unique selection of both gelato and sorbetto, offering a little something for everyone. The atmosphere is charming and exciting, with beautiful and artsy decor. Theyre extremely allergy-concious, with a table of flavor names and allergen contents online. Absolutely delicious, and certainly some of the best and most creative frozen dessert in Utah!

If youre looking for some fantastic gelato in the Salt Lake Valley, then this is the place! It gets a little crowded and the seating space inside is severely limited, but other than that it is a fantastic stop for some dessert. I recommend buying a smaller portion and then take a walk around the block and enjoy the fresh air with a friend or partner.

Im from out of State, and wish we had this in our area. The Raspberry shorbetto & Passion Fruit shorbetto was absolutely amazing! We arrived 20 minutes before closing & everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was perfect! We actually enjoyed watching the staff dance and sing as they were closing things up. I highly recommend everyone going!

If you are looking to get gelato, do not go anywhere else. This place is AMAZING! And not only is the gelato out of this world, they have the most interesting space. Couches you can sit on in a group. But the real treat is the tables. You could spend hours looking at the little figures and items that are underneath the glass. Great for conversations.

Great little Gelato shop. The assortment of flavors was quite plentiful. Prices were somewhat steep but reasonable for the quality and flavor. The waffle cone was a great touch to complete the gelato experience, although it is very thin and you have to be careful not to break it. Id definitely come back with friends in the future.

First of all online it says open til 11:00 even on weekdays. But regardless, we got here before 10:00 and sat out front for 15 minutes while people chatted inside and outside eating their gelato, but no one would come up to take our order. Wanted to like this place, but cant say I do now.

The sorbetto (vegan friendly) was good but the service we received was terrible, the man who helped us gave us some attitude and seemed like a snob. I dont know if he was having a bad day but he should not have let it out on the customer. Good thing I know of a better gelato place nearby!

Its a good option for stopping by and get some gelato. They have more than 10 different flavors and also hot and cold drinks. Its a very nice environment if you decide to hang out with your friends as well. Their service is great and if you dont know what to get you can get samples.

Great place, great flavor gelato, at a decent price. Love their extensive flavor variety! Tried their coconut-sticky rice gelato that everyone was raving about. Had great flavor, but the texture of the rice was, in my opinion, too hard (Ive always had them chewy and soft)

Cute and unique little gelato shop. I wouldnt quite call their product gelato- it seemed more like soft serve to me. But Im not a big stickler on genuine gelato- I just like good ice cream! Friendly staff, free samples, and really interesting décor.

This place is amazing - way better than a normal ice cream place. I get something different every time because they always have great new flavors. The sorbetto is also really good for a dairy-free option, but they really know how to make Gelato.

ROSEWATER WITH PISTACHIO one of my favorite mix. Delcetti Gelato is one of the best places to feed your test of sweets but in modern touch . The music and interior design including the paint and furniture make perfect scene. Its epic experience.

Its such a welcoming place. You walk in and you really get a feel for what it is to be a Salt Laker. Theres all sorts of people in this city but one thing we all seem to agree on is that frozen yumminess is a great way to spend an afternoon.
