I made the MISTAKE of visiting this particular chain a couple of weeks ago with my 6 year old brother. Everything regarding the picking out and preparation of our ice cream went smoothly, we were handed our cups, and I told him he could start eating his treat as I was just about to pay. I handed the young woman who was taking care of the entire store my card, at which point FIVE customers entered the store. She tried to run my card, the funds of which I checked before going to the shop, and it wouldnt process. She tried numerous other times before informing me that they had been having problems with their machine all day. As she was continually trying to process my transaction, the people who were waiting in line started to get frustrated. Being that she was the only person working this particular afternoon, she called her manager to see what she should do. She couldnt get ahold of the manager, nor could she figure out how to resolve this conflict herself (A result of POOR training, no doubt). She stood there for at least 5 minutes, helping NOBODY else in line, waiting for the manager to call her back. In this time, THREE more people entered. There were then EIGHT people in line, as well as myself and my 6 year old brother awaiting the approval of our transaction. She continued to try my card. Eventually, the 5 people got fed up and LEFT the store, VERY ANGRILY. At this point, she said "Sorry, Ill just have to take that back." and TOOK BACK THE ICE CREAM from my 6 year old brother, that he had already begun eating. After seeing this, the remaining three people in the shop left, completely shocked by what they had just seen. I was COMPLETELY APPALLED. Being very familiar with the food service industry myself, I believe this reflects nothing short of terrible management, and I will NOT be returning to this particular chain. It was completely shameful.

First off - ice cream is ok. I ordered the Founders Favorite, and it turned out to be a bit underwhelming. Devoid of any main flavor, and seems they threw in just a bit of everything. Presentation was also unappealing. But the real reason for the 2 stars - is the rude attitude of the store workers. They keep checking your credit card over and over, and then ask for more identification information (all for an $8.99 ice cream)! Why - because youre visiting from a different state? Dont they expect visitors to stop by when its hot and sunny in Phoenix and the city is hosting the MRS conference for the first time ever? The place is hosting 5000 attendees, many of them international! The worst customer service experience I have experienced in all of Phoenix. My relationship with Cold Stone Creamery is now in deep freeze.

I live right across the street from this place, and I love ice cream, so Id love to be a regular here, but it is just SO EXPENSIVE. A teeny tiny cup for $4.25 with tax?? And a cone costs even more! The ice cream was good Salted Crack, but for that cost I just cannot justify getting it more than once every few months. Id rather take my ice cream money elsewhere, or make it myself. If you have a disposable income, go for it. ETA: I realized the way to go with this place is to get their to-go pints. Definitely worth it. Plus theyll put in a couple flavors if you ask! Usually nice people working there, too.

Ice cream was good; but the loud obnoxious Chinese lady that was working there when i went literally gave me a headache. Everybody was just looking at eachother making faces because of how loud she was speaking. She also made a rude sarcastic remark saying "if you dont say the name right we cant make your ice cream right" just because i messed up ONE word from the name of the signature creations ice cream i wanted. Excuse me for it being my first time there & not being perfect! Smh...

Great ice cream, fantastic service, a wide selection of interesting flavors - an all around wonderful experience. Not to mention, they let us taste as many flavors as needed until we found the perfect one. As a traveler from Wisconsin, where we know a thing or two about all things dairy, I was extremely pleased with our decision to stop here for a hot day treat.

She asked me if I wanted to mix my 2 ice cream flavors together and she flipped it 2 times and said here you go! I ended up mixing it myself, I wouldnt have minded mixing it myself if she didnt ask if I wanted her to mix it but the worst service considering that is like the main part of your job working at a child Stone creamery

I love ice cream on a hot and sunny Arizona day. I like how you can come up with the flavors you want and they would make it for you. The toppings are excellent as well. The ice cream however was a little too sweet. If I was younger I would be all over it but Im a little careful with my sugar now-a-days.

Really tell me that I can get a free ice cream for my birthday then when I show up they tell me I its buy one get one free really thanks for the crappy service and buy the way I had to pay for parking and looking for this place was a pain never going to this cold stone ever again

Really great ice cream, lots of add ins to add flavor. You can make it exactly what you want it to be. Seating is pretty limited which can be a problem during hotter days, but if you can find a cool place to take it or dont ming the heat the ice cream really is top notch

Although my ice cream was very good, this place is always out of cooke dough!!! I mean how can you be an ice cream shop and have no cookie dough? I will gladly change this review to a more positive one when they restock their dough. very upsetting

I came here last night with friends. It was my first time and will not be the last! The icecream was amazing. I had the honey flavor with a cookie cone it was delicious! Friendly staff and unique flavors. I will go back and try them all!

The ice cream was fantastic. The ac doesnt blow cold, though, and there was hardly any seating. We were a group of 7, tab come to $37. For that price seating and cold ac are must haves hence the 3 stars.

Good ice cream if you like thick creamy ice cream. I like hard and not as rich ice cream so... im not a huge fan. Ben and Jerrys seems to fit my tastes better. Still good though.

Went with a goody card and a bogo free coupon and they refused to take the coupon... stated "we arent one of those cold stones"
