Ive visited this place about three times now. I was in the area for a MESA and a HOSA competition during high school. My friends and I would walk over to Kim Long during our break time. The exterior is very plain (make sure you dont trip on the little step near the door). The interior looks like any other Asian restaurant. The most recent visit Ive had was with my boyfriend. In the past, Ive only ordered the boba at Kim Long. They have the best tasting boba. Their boba is so delicious and sweet. They always gave me lots of boba balls and the boba balls were always soft. Their pho is a different story though. The fact that this place is a Vietnamese restaurant is quite surprising... My boyfriend is Vietnamese and we both ordered the same pho. I ate my pho perfectly fine, but he was so disgusted by how watered down and flavorless it tasted, he couldnt even finish his food. I could see what he was talking about, but I could finish my food fine. By the end of our meal, my boyfriends pho was highly discolored by all the sauce he used to add some flavor in his pho and mine was the original clear color of soup. In conclusion, I would come to Kim Long for their boba, but not for their pho, especially if youre used to authentic Vietnamese pho. Their service is fast, but every time Ive been there, there havent been lots of people to occupy the waiters. Their pho is a 1/5 stars, but their boba is a 4.5/5 stars to me.

This place is pretty pricey as far as Vietnamese food goes. I guess they can do that since there isnt much competition in the area. Not sure if Ill go back. It was especially funny that my receipt had an extra $0.02 tacked onto it for "Rounding". Not sure what that meant, but thats not why this place is 3 stars. The broth in their pho is decent, though not great. The meat was a little stingy, and the portion size was smaller than I expected. For $8.15 I expected a standard size bowl, but I guess that was wishful thinking. Overall, if youre dying to have pho, its worth a try. But at that price and for the quantity+broth quality, I could never be a regular there.

If youve never had real vietnamese food then you shouldnt write a review. If you do write a review you should at least leave your Google + name to show you are for real and just some jerk writing things you know nothing about. I was in Vietnam for 5 years and I can say the food at Kim Longs is great. The owners are very friendly and the service is wonderful. Try the steak pho, you will love it. Also rest asured you will not get someone elses meat, because no one leaves any so that takes care of that rumor.

This review is for the person leery of trying Vietnamese food. Many of the entrees are simple noodles, grilled meat and a veg; served in a tasty stack on a plate or a delicious steaming bowl of broth. Not to say the experienced diner will be disappointed, plenty of authentic variety for those of us who love asian food. Im thrilled Ive got a great asian restaurant right in my home town and its a business Im pleased to visit often.

my friend worked there part time and he said that after someone ate their food, if there was meat that they didnt eat, they just washed it and put it on to your plate! SICK! i do remember them being shut down before for poor kitchen etiquette. but once a cheater always a cheater might apply to them. THEIR food is AMAZING THOUGH, but i dont want to be eating your left over meat lol be careful. oh and the menu is kind of confusing.

Food was great but portions were to small. Been living in layton moved from slc. So it is hard to find good food close by. This is the best in layton area weve had so far.. Asian palace and dim sum have my heart super fresh and excellent portion sized. If Kim long had bigger portions it may have been 4.5-5 star. But not bad at all. I had seafood lo mein. My Lady had pho.

Good food, friendly service. There was a random bad smell throughout the meal, hopefully thats not there every day. Might be the fish tank that doesnt circulate the water. Also, kind of weird having a fish tank without any fish. Also, their menu says they have beer, but they dont. Without that smell Id recommend eating here I guess. FIX THE SMELL please.

I love this place! They have amazingly fresh spring rolls, and their bun is very delicious. The owners are very friendly and enjoy talking to their customers. You leave feeling good, because the food is great, and because of the friendly atmosphere. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, not to mention their prices are very reasonable.

Worst experience I have ever had. Not only did I get raw chicken in my pho and a snooty waitress who said, "You took a bite, not my problem anymore." My boyfriend got sick after eating there. Would not recommend. Plus the fact that I have had more flavorful pho from a freeze pack at a grovery store. Never eating here again.

Floors were sticky, food was bland, obviously freezer burned, the "fresh"vegetables we rotting and slimy plus I found no less than 4 hairs in my Pho. The service was friendly, but half hearted, the wait staff obviously dont want to be there. If you want to eat here, go next door. This place isnt worth it.

The house pho was 7/10. The portion were smaller than other places I visit. The pho broth had close to no flavor, almost a watery taste. My check was brought to me before I had even finished my food. I think the owners friend were there for a visit because they had a very long and loud conversation.

I have spent extensive time in Southeast Asia and Kim Long has the best tasting Pho I have ever had! The owners are awesome and the smell of the restaurant will have you salivating before you ever see the menu! This is the only restaurant I have given all 5 stars. High praises for Kim Long!

My favorite place to go since 2013! The smell people talk about is a fish sauce that your suppose to pour on your food. Anyway, the food here is always prepared fresh, taste amazing and reasonably priced. I really enjoy the waiters and owners of the restraunt. Extremely nice atmosphere!

Love this family ran restaraunt. It was nice to see the owners and their family dining at the table next to ours. The pride of their cuisine definitely shows with everything we ordered. Highly recommend this place for the quality, atmosphere and price

Best Pho in Davis County! Great flavour, and a good sized portion. The steak Pho is quite good, and so are the spring rolls. The rest of the dishes on the menu are kind of pricey, and not quite as impressive, but good staff and a good environment.

Delicious pho tai! Broth was fragrant, and serving size was ample. Had Taro with Coconut Cream for Boba. Hands down the most delicious flavor Ive had to date. Im a huge fan of this restaurant. My only regret is that it is not in Sugarhouse.
