Sunday we went to breakfast at the Egg and I. Typically its an ok experience. Today I asked if I could substitute my muffin for a pancake. The waitress told me that substitutions are not allowed. She said I can bring you one. I told her that would be good. We get the ticket and I notice there is a line labled "plain and simple" $5.69. I asked the waitress what it was and she told me the pancake! 1 pancake was 6 bucks. Are you kidding me?! She mumbled sorry. I told her maybe next time mention that. If I knew it was 6 bucks I would not have ordered it. I paid the bill and after I left I called and spoke to the manager Lucille. She was veryy unapologetic for the lack of communication and kept telling me thats the price the company charges. She said she would refund me the 6 bucks. As of today I have yet to see a refund on my credit card.. And to top it off me and my husband both got sick from the food we ate. Horrible experience. Never going there again.

I am just now leaving this restaurant and I am very upset with my experience. Firstly, my waitress (didnt get a name) was impolite, rolled her eyes a few times, and was never around my table. I ordered a chicken bacon avacado sandwich with potatoes on the side. The food came out fast, but everything was cold. also I ordered the honey mustard that goes on the sandwich on the side, but I never got the side of honey mustard. I waited 15 minutes just to ask for a cup of coffee and a bowl for my friend. It took even longer to get it out. i had to ask three different people to get a small side of honey mustard. There was no soap in the bathrooms so I could wash my hands. And the employees were rolling silverware near me and they were touching all over the silverware without gloves. Terrible experience. I will not be visiting this place again.

Went during Sunday Brunch time and yes it was busy. The waiting area is very small for the amount of people waiting but they will walk outside to call for you. The food is either really good or ok, just start with what you know you like and work from there. I had the French Toast and it was good, bacon was cooked perfectly, and my wife loved their ranch potatoes... however, the biscuits are doughie, dense, and bland; the eggs were under cooked for both meals so order 1 above what you would want. Service was good for being very busy. This was both of ours first time eating there. I definitely wouldnt object to going there again if someone wants to go but not sure it was good enough for me to choose to go there again. Very neutral overall experience.

I really like the environment, everyone was very friendly, and the food was good. Our waitress check on us more than once during our time there, but I was very unhappy with how much I spent. I ordered orange juice for both my daughter and myself and the orange juice couldnt of been in a glass that was more than 12oz. I paid $3.09 for each glass and that was the "large" as appose to the kids size. So I could only imagine the size of that one. I dont know if I will be becoming a regular customer.

Very clean place. The food is very fresh and tasty! I got the classic eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Also I mentioned that it was my first time at the restaurant and the waiter gave me a " first visit envelope" which has some sort of discount in it. But I cant open it. *They open it on the next visit to reveal whats in it.* Pretty cool!! The staff here are very friendly and polite. This place gets pretty crowded but the wait wasnt long. I highly recommend this place!

We visited the Egg & I for the first time in Webster, Tx on June 20, 2015 and we order croissant & egg. The croissant & egg came out where the croissant was soggy, eggs not cooked and the potatoes came out uncooked. The price of the food quality was way too high. We also had a problem with the salt shaker where the salt was so damp it would not come out so we ask for a new one and it had the same problem. With this being our first visit and it will probably be out last.

What can I say about the food... The burgers are great. Had them for breakfast, cooked perfectly. I like them with the potatoes or a side salad. The Idaho Omelette was fantastic. The ingredients were flavorful, leaving me wanting more. The french toast was delicious. Just the right amount of powder surgar. The portion is just right to share, but too good to not want to. Cant go wrong with Egg & I. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Weve been here numerous times but we just went the other day and we were highly disappointed in our experience. The food WAS good as always but when we reported to the hostess that there was a roach on the wall within our boothe, she was completely unconcerned. I think that may be something youd want to address or even at least ASK if wed like to move or if wed like someone to come and kill it.

This is an upscale restaurant for breakfast and lunch that has a good menu and fair prices. The biggest thing I disagree with us the lack of dark roast coffee. They used to sell great Costa Rican dark roast coffee, a nice you touch for their higher end menu. No longer do they sell dark roast. Taken off the menu... Poor management decision that will now limit my patronage.

Great breakfast/brunch spot. Good for families and friends. Food is really good and has a lot of options. When you go for the first time you receive a coupon that has either bottomless coffee, free meal or a $50 gift card to the restaurant. i think it was a really cool idea and it definitely made me want to come back with friends so they could get their coupon!

Way to expensive but $50 for breakfast come on. Breakfast should be the cheapest meal and the reason for o my 4 stars. Other than that very tasty food ok service better than most restaurants around. Take it from a fat man if I have extra money to throw away I eat here. To bad Im poor otherwise I would be there every morning.

Only been here two times, but this place is SUPERB. The breakfast food is delicious and filling, not to mention their juices are also unique and refreshing. The wait staff is also really friendly. DEFINITELY go here if you want some good breakfast food thats a step above iHop or Dennys haha.

I love the wait staff, they love to help me with my Spanish. They are all so nice, and the food is good. Unfortunately, this place is super expensive. Hash, waffle, coffee, and a OJ was $30 including a $5 tip. Come on Egg and I! I know your in demand, but lets keep it reasonable.

Saturday brunch with the fam. Clean and comfortable restaurant. Food is good, home cooked style. But its kinda hard to mess up breakfast. Kids omelet was great, along with chocolate chip pancake. Momma had French toast which was OK. I had biscuits n gravy with eggs over easy.
