I had not been to a Golden Corral in many years and remembered it being pretty good, so I thought Id take the family and try it out again. When you walk in, if you are not familiar with how Golden Corral works you would be confused as to where you are supposed to go as soon as you walk through the front door. Before you get to the hostess you walk by a soda machine, cups (to go and plastic), trays, etc. So, not knowing what else to do everyone grabbed a tray and got sodas. The hostess didnt say anything as we made our way to the register and paid for our meals. After we sat down our trays and drinks, we got our food (which was fabulous by the way) we sat down and started eating. A waitress showed up a couple minutes later to tank our drink order... but, we already had it covered. I looked around and noticed that no one else had trays (we had six) and everyone had normal dinner cups (while ours was to go). I was slightly embarrassed, but was not a big deal. The service and the food was pretty good - especially for a buffet place.

Dont go there is your handicapped in a wheelchair. We went there with family on Thanksgiving day. After waiting in long lines and paying for our meals being seated was a big problem. No table to host 8 of us. Tried to sit on end of the tables so we could get more of us at one table. Was told rudly by two employees i could not set on the end of the table in my wheelchair. Yet other people were setting on the end in regular chairs. So i ask to speek to the manger. That was a lost cause. He could not tell me why it was ok for others to sit on the end of tables in regular chairs and not me in a wheelchair. Also attemped to use the bathrooms that are clearly marked handicapped accessable but bairly pass the test. Ackward entrance and very little room to move. Way under sized handicapped stall. Only good things were the waitress and food. Not recommended for anyone using a wheelchair. Your really not welcomed there. Traveled almost 2 hours that day to get there. Never again.

Old Golden Coral, how we have spent so many times together in so many other cities that it pains me to have to try and carry on our affair in this town. I opened my heart to you our first time together for none other that a Thanksgiving Meal, yea my friends said I was crazy but they dont know what a good Golden Coral means. The thanksgiving meals and a couple other visits told me you had no time in my heart for your food. Golden, the heart wants what the heart wants and, well, my heart wants fresh food, my heart doesnt want to have to wait every time for those blessed biscuits, but most importantly, my heart doesnt want the meat guy to treat me with the disrespect of such a small sliver of steak. Thanks, can I have 4 of them???

I have been once prior and was asked if I was military and was given a military discount with proof of military i.d.... this time I came and was told that "we dont do military discounts"...the manager had a very bad attitude and quite frankly there was 8 other military with me who did not appreciate the attitude... I have been to the golden corral in San Antonio and found it to always be dirty but friendly, and now I have found what I felt was a beautiful golden corral with very unfriendly management. Never will I come here again nor will i recommend any of my military colleagues and friends.

One of the better Golden Corral locations Ive been to. Food selection here is pretty good, and some of the items just taste better here. The location can get pretty busy, and some items on the buffet can temporarily run out because of it. However the staff is pretty good at keeping everything refilled and fresh. The restaurant and bathrooms at this location seem to always be on the cleaner side. Staff here is friendly, and wait service here has been good on all my visits. While I dont eat at Golden Corral often, I do recommend this location.

All the tables were dirty. We find a clean table. Another family and ourselves got booted for a bigger party that hadnt even arrived by the time we finished our food. We had to clean out own table as well as the other family. Their party had to be broken up across the other areas. We piled the dirty dishes into another table, which didnt get cleaned up until we finished eating. So I kept putting more dishes to clear our table. Mind you the flora never got cleaned either. So everyone is just stepping over food and trash.

Muy bueno!!! Me encanta la gran variedad de comida que hay. Desde ensaladas, comida china, carnes, tacos, y mucha variedad. Y los postres muy ricos. Me encanta la fuente de chocolate porque la lleno de fresas y bombones que quedó todo embarrado. Jaja

We had a coupon- buy one get one- but apparently it was from corporate, and this building runs privately and didnt accept them. Just a heads up xD The rest of the experience was delicious, though! The food was lovely, especially the bourbon chicken... The cabbage was so yummy, and Ive only had cabbage that I liked so much in a hole in the wall diner lost to the years. The best desert spread Ive ever seen in a Golden Coral, freshest salad bar too. Needless to say, my whole family left completely stuffed.

The place was busy. They had Scripture up in neon when you walk in the door, very inspiring. Maria looked after us and made sure we were taken care of. When the noise died down for a min, you could hear Christian music playing, very nice! Good amount of food to choose from...couldve used some peas, and spinch cooked up. But everything from mac n cheese to the steak was great. Ice cream..lol...halfway melted b4 i really got into it, and not that great. But I didnt go there for that. Great job!

The staff is friendly. However the food is not that good at all. Its never hot and fresh and the kitchen staff takes a long time to refill empty food bins. For the price the food should be readily available and fresh and hot but it is not. I love the military and I love the Christian music that plays over the Muzak System so i suppose thats what keeps me coming back. The kids like the food a little but as the parents we matter too.

Dont go here if youre a teenager. We sat in a section with a young man as a waiter. Me and my boyfriend are teenagers but we always tip good either way . Well the waiter we had kept going passed us and would not refill our drinks. He also didnt take the dirty plates away. But there was an older couple and he kept going to their table to clean and refill. At one point i got soda in their little waiter stand on my own .

My wife and I were very pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere. Even though it was Thanksgiving Day 2016 and a very long line, we were still seated in under 30 minutes. Our waitress was Ashly and she is the greatest. After she learned of my health issues, she offered to pray for me and my family. This will be our first choice on any further dinning out. Thank you Golden Corral, New Braunfels.
