The "Shack Burger" was incredible. It tasted like it was just cooked on the grill. The meat tasted great (not like some places where the burgers were frozen for weeks and the burgers taste like mystery meat). The fries are the nice thick "steak cut" style. You can get hot cheese on it and it is wonderful. I havent tried the chili cheese fries yet. I also did try the Philly cheese steak sandwich. They make it "true" Philly style with Cheese Wiz on it (sounds terrible but tasted great). The sandwich was a little salty tasting (I dont put salt on anything in my dieterary lifestyle). I told the owner about it a few days later and he too had heard the same thing so they changed the meat supplier for the Cheese Steak sandwiches. I eat there no less then once a week. Im normally not a big fan for onion rings so I normally dont ever get them, but my wife loves them, so we ordered some and they were by far the best I had ever eaten! My wife loves to get chedar cheese on her burger, and they but I nice big slab of cheese on it. They do have other types of cheese available, but I dont like anything to cover up the taste of the meat on my burgers. Soft drinks are served in bottles, which is both good and bad, bad it you want a refill on your drink (David the owner said he will sell you a second bottle cheaper then your first bottle if you want one ( I have yet ever needed to take him up on that offer yet)), but by having the softdrinks in bottles, he is able to maintain the quality of the soft drinks since it is controlled by the bottling factory. All in all, I think the food is awesome. I have introduced several friends of mine to this place and they love it too. Last time we went, we even brought in a couple bottles of beers which tasted fantastic with a great burger.

I read the reviews and I had to try it. I had a cheesesteak with mushrooms, hot peppers, onions, and provolone. It was epic. They use Amoroso bread, which is a must for cheesesteaks. The fries are thick and there are plenty of them. With a soft-drink, I ended up paying about 10 bucks, which is not bad considering the amount of food you get. They were a little slow getting the orders out (about 20 minutes but to be fair we had 6 people). Also, they dont have fountain drinks, just bottled drinks. I definitely want to go again!

I went for the first time yesterday, and I totally loved it. I saw the rave reviews, and now I have add my own. Burger & Philly Shack is a modest little shack where the proprietor serves you himself. Service is neighborly and down to earth. The food is hearty and oh so satisfying. The philly gets a lot of love, I saw, but there were some other burgers available, including boar, so I tried a buffalo burger with sweet potato fries, and I got everything that a guy or gal could want. Stop by when youre in the area!

Wow!!! True Philly!!! I lived in the Philly burbs for thirty years and I know my cheese steaks. This is a great one here, they even have Cheese Wiz, just like Philly. They fly the rolls and the meat in from Philly, so you are getting an authentic Philly cheese steak, not some poser. I really, really, really appreciated the great cheese steak I got here. If I get a chance, Ill be back! BTW, as I left, I shook the hand of the owner in appreciation of the great sandwich. He is a great guy!

This place is always good. I have visited on many instances and the food is always consistent and delicious. It is the only place I have found in the DFW area that makes a solid cheese steak. They use Amoroso bread which is what they use in Philadelphia and you can even get it with cheese whiz for an authentic steak. Dont count out the burgers either they are just as good as the cheese steaks.

One of the best places Ive found to get a Philly cheese steak, you can customize it to however you want it. Onions, peppers, mushrooms, provolone cheese, American cheese, cheese whiz or all of the above its up to you. They have a half comb meal that is more than enough to satisfy you, but if youre willing they have there regular size thats enough to satisfy any football player.

Read all the reviews that had previously been submitted, thought that everyone was over exaggerating, but as I went there with my fiance on May 1st it will be a day my taste buds will never forget! The burgers that we had were delicious (honestly my words alone cannot express how amazing those burgers were) and customer service was phenomenal!

This is really good. Only been once. They custom make your sandwich. Dont depend on it rushing right out to you but it sure is good when it gets there. Very crowded at lunch because its very popular and busy but they do have some covered outside seating in a gazebo. I had the Philly steak sandwich. Its messy to eat but man is it good!!!

Great place for a good Philly. The owner offers a little sass along with the food, but its all good natured. Make sure you know how to order a philly when you get to the front of the line as they like to move you along pretty quick (dont worry, there are signs instructing you on how to do it correctly). Does not accept American Express.

You should go here. The cheeseburger I had was so delicious, I am going to write to all my relatives about it. It was huge and the fries were thick cut and amazing. Its a low key understated place, perfect for lunch out. If you are in a hurry, give them a call ahead of time so youll have more time to sit and chat. Highly recommended.

My family and I loved this establishment from the customer service to the food! The owner and his wife were very sweet as we talked and they played with our baby while waiting for our to-go philly combos! After getting home and absolutely enjoying our food (lol) I couldnt resist leaving a review for this place! We will DEFINITELY be back!
