Best fried chicken in Tyler. I do frequently have to wait about ten minutes but the chicken is fresh so I dont mind (chicken takes linger than burgers people). They get busy at odd times like between 8 and 9 at night. They have only got my order wrong once and Ive been going there for about 8 years. They are not always "friendly" but I wouldnt say they have ever been rude to me. They just arent cherry I guess is the best way I would term it. The price is right and the chicken is great so I dont mind. Keep in mind their crust can be a bit spicy to some people so if youre sensitive to that you may want to go with Churchs or KFC. I go to KFC now and then because I really like the flavor of their original recipe but most of the time I get my chicken from Southern Classic because I dont have to choose between flavor and crispy chicken..

Every time i come for the special almost whether busy or not you gotta wait 20 minutes and dont get a complementary drink, I came by one with a sick passenger had to hurry home they were out of white meat head to cook more I said just put dark meat in they said we would have to charge you more I explained that I had a sick passenger had to go but they still insisted even though they did not have my order or what I wanted I still would have to pay more for the dark meat Wow would not suggest anyone go there Tyler southern classic is way better it seems like they are two different entities,, thats why I go to Grandys only come here for an emergency

The service here was horrible. We had to go through the drive-thru because the dining room was closed. The girl who took our order was so distracted by with her personal conversation with the car in front of us that we had to repeat our order at least 4 times, then continue to wait until she finished her conversation. When we got our food, they completely forgot the rolls that came with it and the chicken was super-salty. Some of the pieces were spicy even though we asked for all mild. We will NEVER go back again.

I havent been back to this place since March of this year (2016). Three orders completely wrong in a row and no corrective action taken by employees. Theyve received my last dime.

No indoor seating but great chicken! Get the sauce instead of the gravy, its delicious! Outdoor seating is covered.
