My favorite restaurant of all time! I honestly cannot understand why anyone would rate Kobes less than 4 or 5 stars. Every single time weve been here everything including the food, service and showmanship of the chefs is always top notch. They take REAL reservations with very short waiting times. I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. The food is so fresh, the cooks are absolutely top notch and very talented and the entire staff perform their duties better than any place I have ever been to, they honestly give it 110%. They also offer a great rewards program and mail out great coupons. I was once a big fan of Sumo but since they moved to their current location, the atmosphere is way too noisy and in the summer it is WAY too hot in that building. We live East of Wichita and we actually drive all the way out West to Kobes because it operates so much better. One more thing, weve even requested an all adult table with no kids and they always accommodate us, which is nice because sometimes you just dont want kids screaming in your ear on your special occasion ;) Kobes is the original and the best, period.

This is my familys favorite restraunt!! I remember when I was a kid my parents would pull us out of school an hour early just to make sure we could make it to our 6 o clock reservation on time(we lived about 2 hours away)! Weve tried many of the Japanese steak houses in Wichita and kobes is definetly the TOP! I think its wayyyy better then Sumos:) We come to kobes on our special occasions or just spontaneously!! This has been my familys Christmas Eve dinner for the last 6 years!! The price is high but OHHHHH soo worth it! The fried rice NEVER disappoints, we usually all order a second friend rice for our take home box! The staff is always happy and they always take care of us! Always a 5 star experience :)

Amazing place to eat at. The chefs put on an awesome show with some good jokes spread in here and there. One of the members of our group had a shrimp allergy and the chef was willing to work with us and cooked her stuff before the seafood. The food was amazing as well, I have never had fried rice as good as the fried rice chef Noy made. The filet mignon was nice and tender with great flavor and the salmon was the best. Each chef has there own skills and tricks they perform during the show so its worth going back for a chance with another chef. This is definitely a place I do plan on going back to.

We dont live in Wichita and werent sure about trying this restaurant because there werent any reviews. But my friend assured me the restaurant was still alive and well, and we had a great experience! Our chef was a lot of fun and made everyone laugh throughout the night. The food was very good!! I was even able to get my fried rice without egg in it. My husband and I both enjoyed the fun atmosphere and the excellent cooking and would definitely recommend this restaurant. (If you dont want the entertainment of your food being cooked in front of you, they also offer regular dining with menus.)

Terrible!! We got seated with a group of people that had been seated already. The waitress was taking their drink orders as we sat down. The waistress asked us what we wanted to drink and Im like we just sat down and need some time. She was hateful, just stood there. I asked for a drink menu and she got everyone elses drinks and still didnt bring the menu. Then she took everyones food order except us, then went and got then menu and handed it to me like she was doing a favor. We just got up and left and went to P.F Changs. A really terrible experience on what should of been a celebration.

Dont rely on on-line reservations, call instead. Nobody called me back, like they say they will. We chanced going next day at 4:30 pm. on a Saturday. We had to wait 25 minutes to get worked in. Food is o.k. The pricey meal ticket is a big part of the entertainment. I would have loved some hot tea afterwards but the waitress was so fast in asking and leaving the table, I didnt even get a chance to reply. It was our first time visit and didnt know what to expect. All in all it was an interesting experience but not something I would repeat. Just personal preference on my part.

It was worst I cant believe .. amount u pay and the food u get .. we order chicken séame seed and their was not even sense seed and even we asked cook she order chicken sesame seed .. he said its seasme chicken and bearly 10 piece of small bite .. I cant believe . I usually come all the time .. this is my last time no more I been noticing their food been reducing on portion but price is keep going on .. I se why .. just monopoly being one in Wichita .. no more for me

I dont really like sitting with other people when Im at a restaurant and that is why I am giving it four stars. My steak-loving date loves it here so I go along. I opt for the shrimp and other fish because they do a really good job with it and I love fish when it is hot. I mean the whole thing is kind of fun, but I would rather have a nice conversation alone with my date on the weekend. I do a lot of public talking during the week.

Absolutely amazing. Make your reservations early! We waited about half an hour last Saturday, which gave us time to try out the decently well stocked bar. Their mixed drinks are pretty good. I recommend the blue geisha. Our chef, Cody, did an amazing job. Very entertaining and prepared an great meal. Starting off with soup and salad, then the entre, finally a sherbet desert.

If you have never been to a Japanese Steakhouse, then Kobe is a place to visit. However if you have been here for the special moments in which people choose to go to these kind of places, there is nothing overly special about this restaurant. But it does deliver on exactly what it says and their employees for the most part appear to be happy to work there.

We waited 30 mins from our reservation time to be seated with no drinks. Waitress was awesome. Salad, soup, and appetizer were awesome but finished and still had not brought out food to start cooking. An hour after our reservation time, we walked out. Very disappointing, we took our kids for an amazing experience and was left with a sour taste.

Great place to eat, where else can you get a dinner and a show. Service has always been good and food is great as well, kids love watching the chef at work. Definitely somewhere to try if youve never been before. Food prices can be a little high but its the quality of service and show youre paying for as well.

The food is expensive but it is delicious. They cook it right in front of you and put on an entertaining show. You have to pay extra for the fried rice but it is my favorite part of the meal. They also have a full service bar that has the most amazing frozen drinks. The Mt Fugi is my favorite drink.
