The drinks were very very good! They only have pinacolada in a frozen drink machine and everything else is on the rocks. They have a full bar and beers in a can. They have a drink called a turbo pinacolada which is really good it has an extra shot of dark rum with it which tasted pretty good. But the best way to get it would be the frozen pinacolada mix with strawberry mix in the cup. The food smelled very good and looked very good but both times we went we had eaten some place else on the island first. Its mostly fried food and burgers. Its right on the beach and there is a volleyball court there to play on and they have beach access which is nice. The best seating in the place is right next to the beach but its very hard to get a seat. If you order food you have to go to the bar and order your food and drinks there. Then you have to pick up your food at the window there is no waiter or waitress there to bring you anything or take your orders which is fine but when we went yesterday for the first time we had no idea and no one told us because they dont have a hostess either. Also its a hotel as well which we didnt stay at and I would say dont unless you are looking for more of night life or younger (but over 21) crowd fun exsperience Younger people would enjoy or the fun older crowds might as well. But its not a classy or elegant place its a beach bar which is geared towards party animal type people. You can bring kids in there at least we saw kids in there eating and it wouldnt be bad to bring them to eat but not a place I would stay all day with a child and I would dare say it most likely but isnt a place for families in my opinion. Spring break would probably be a blast to stay there with some friends. If your looking for a fun time with adult beverages and a relaxed beach experience. Over its a great place but it could be a little better. Also they have cups there that you can keep as a keep sake for free but you have to ask for them.

I really enjoy the food here. And the view is great. But there is one big problem I ALWAYS have, and thats the service. Whoever works there is consistently rude to me and takes forever to wait on me. And when I try to get their attention, first Im ignored and then Im treated as an inconvenience. I live in the Valley and am not a tourist. However, I come back because I love the location and atmosphere once I am served and this place has the best cheeseburger on the Island. Ive worked in the service industry and I know Im not being rude. The only reason I would NOT go back, is because of the employees. But that cheeseburger keeps calling me after a day of fishing or work.

noisy room next to office, can hear staff punching in & out on time clock above our headboard , loud talking early morning and late nights, slamming doors from staff in & out constantly , thin walls, no HBO like told we had, staff acts like they dont understand English when asked questions. not to mention there is NO pool like advertised, they tore it out & replaced it with a brick patio. 1st margarita was grey & tasted awful, then they drained it & started a new batch. price was ok, bartender was nice, only heard 1 fight where I almost called police

This bar is nice and beachy. No food for vegetarians though apart from tortilla chips with gross orange cheese sauce. The pina colada was ok. My main comment about this place is the awful amount of garbage left on the beach everyday, right outside the bar. Straws and cups and cigarette butts everywhere, its disgusting. I really wish somebody would make an effort to let people know how bad for this island all this garbage is. I feel terrible for all the poor sea creatures surrounded by all the mess made here. Just put it in the garbage people!

We were there over the labor day weekend and really enjoyed the Wanna-Wanna bar but on Sunday night they had a 3 piece band consisting of three spanish guys trying to play skynyrd, and Black Sabbath. They tried hard but sounded terrible. Perhaps a more user friendly get the crowd moving music senerio would of been better. The food was just ok but the marguritas were good.

great place to hang out. especially if the winds are out of the east, you have to go then. when the east winds are present, the water turns into a beautiful green/blue color. winds out of the north or west makes the water look brown and dirty...atmosphere is the same no matter what the weather is like. staff is friendly and always keep music going

Recently spent a quick get away at South Padre Island and the first day I had a lot of mediocre food (dirty als/d pizza joint) but at Wanna Wannas I had the best. I tried their cheeseburger which is huge and delicious. Their fish sandwich is also absolute perfection. If you choose anywhere to grab a lunch/dinner. This is the place.

You should definitely stop here if youre on the Island. Great drinks, and the food is really good. My friend and I split the mixed fish basket and got shrimp and fish in it and it was awesome! The sauces that came with it were delicious, too. Very friendly staff, and right on the beach! The atmosphere and decor were funny too.

Another place with watered down liquor. Was told to get the special pina colada and watched the bartender make it and saw a really long pour of what appeared to be clear rum and expected a hearty beverage and got what tasted like a virgin colada. The pina colada mix was flavorful but $9? Not doing that again.

Wanna Wanna my money back!! After hearing rave reviews about the fish sandwich, I was disappointed to find a plain sesame bun and slab of deeply fried fish with a side of tartar sauce.Thats it. Same for the shrimp. Furthermore, if the fries were fried anymore, there would be nothing left!

la musica, las bebidas, el ambiente es de lo mejor, es algo que no puedo dejar de ir a visitar cuando vengo a la Isla del Padre.

Absolutely the worst service and setting anywhere on the island. Dont waste your time. The barman was rude and not friendly at all. The drinks are way overpriced and the food gross. The place smells of feline urine too, which was confirmed by the number of cats roaming between tables.

Drinks were okay. Ordered a blue Hawaiian and it came out green. How do you mess that up? Music was catered to the older crowd and the bartenders came right out of the walking dead. Emotionless and killed the vibe. The ceviche was some of the best and the highlight of my visit.
