What I liked: The decor and atmosphere was very "chill" It was not packed at all on a Saturday afternoon until the singing lady shows up at 7. The crowd and the employees are super friendly. They have WiFi so I could work on my laptop while relaxing outside. Outside bar is relaxing. Bayside location at the best spot for watching the fireworks on Fridays (it probably gets super super packed) ----------- What I didnt like: The vibe when its packed is very "country". Its fun, but not exactly the scene I prefer to hang out at. I didnt order any of the drinks on the cocktail menu, but I did notice that their drink menu was really really tiny. The shrimp basket that I ordered was super underwhelming for seafood at the island. I probably will never order it again. Outside bar in Texas means your drinks go from ice cold to room temperature fast! Summary: For me this place is just a little better than OK. I would probably only come here again after not coming here for a while. I can see this place being super awesome for locals and winter Texans. The people that were there were having a blast dancing and singing. I just went there to relax and enjoy the SPI scene.

Where to begin. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. 10 minutes for them to come back...with the wrong drinks. A different waitress brought back the right drinks. Another 20 minutes for us to flag down a different waitress to take our dinner order. And that only after we talked to the owner. We watched all the people around us get drinks and food. They left. New people came. They got drinks and food. We still had our original drinks. Finally our dinners came. It said they came with salad. No salad. The menu said they got the shrimp themselves. I hope not. Those tiny little overcooked things made Red Lobster look like a 5 star restaurant. The blackened mahi mahi was so salty it was almost inedible and the poh boy. Poor me for having to try and choke it down. The owner stopped by and exclaimed about how good the food was....especially the cheese quesadillas ... gee...how wonderful they can put some cheese between tortillas and fry it up. Yum. The fries were good. Everything else including the tequilla was awful. DO NOT GO HERE. The owner couldnt have cared less that we had a terrible experience.

Service was terrible, the server realized he had the 18% GRATUITY tacked on because there were on 6 of us, (personally believe it should be 8 people or more 15% gratuity) so he took our order only gave 5/6 of us drinks, and ran us our food. Last time we saw him till he came to give our check which I believe the work put in did not warrant a 18% tip. On the food, I got the fish and shrimp Po Boy with coleslaw. Po Boy was decent, a little on the small side, coleslaw was small portion but great. Music was good, great view, pricing was only poor due to gratuity. Would have been a nice visit had not been for service and gratuity.

Me and my family went on a Friday evening after the beach....never again for dinner. We were a party of 12 /7 adults 5 kids.We got our drinks right away /thats about it for at least an hour and a half.We saw people who came after us get their food before. The manager gave us that kitchen was small/servers were taking wrong orders etc..At the end of having a wonderful at the beach. Were left with this bad taste in our mouth of this horrible experience. This was my first time in SPI.Even after waiting so long for our food they forgot 2 of the kids orders. At yhat point kids should be a priority...So thanks guys 4 the memories.

This place is a joke! Food and service was terrible!! Oysters tasted so dirty and then they didnt put chicken in my sons quesadilla so we sent it back, so then she proceeds to bring it back and tell us that the chicken will be awhile so he can just keep the quesadilla and she will bring back the chicken when its done. So she finally brings him some chicken, but by that time his quesadilla is cold. Never once apologized for her mistake. So after all that we get the ticket and she charged us gratuity!! It was only me, my husband and 3 children. I guess that was too much for her to handle! What a joke!!

we were a group of 20 (adults and kids) went to Palm st restaurant for dinar. ambience was good, good live music but it took them 1 hour 30 minutes plus to serve the food and that too few dishes at a time and not hot enough to enjoy. my order was missing, I was told someone on the table got my order which is not true, server checked each one plates on the table. additional item were added to the check , when complained manager was not willing to work with us and were extremely rude. one star is for good live music. bad service all the way.. extremely disappointed ruined our evening.

Ordered shrimp scampie..pasta was warm...like it was micro waved. My cole slaw was warm. And my side salad was warm...tasted fresh...but was temperture warm. Not very coming when eating in a hot open air area..my wife ordered a salad..and a side of onion rings...which were forgotten..after asking about the ORs...our waiter said he forgot them. May as well..because they seemed like the frozen type. And my ice tea tasted old. Your place came recomended to us as a great place. However, we did not experienced that. And frankly...not going back.

We ate here the first night on our trip. This place runs an all-you-can-eat haddock dinner for approx. 12 bucks. While thats a good deal (the fish is lightly breaded and quite tasty), the service here is mediocre at best. It took at least 10 minutes to get water, not to mention the other drinks we ordered. Our dinner arrived about five minutes after the appetizer(s) and it seemed fruitless to try to get anything further. After some time, the server stopped back by and checked in. Fortunately, things got better later in the week.

Great food, good happy hour specials, and a great view of the bay make this a place to go. They take great pride in serving locally sourced shrimp, right off the boat! Try the shrimp sampler, made of Captain Morgan-sauced shrimp, coconut shrimp, stuffed shrimp, and fried shrimp...or order each kind individually! Or if in the mood for wings, get the Captain Morgan wings! Theyre also known for making a huge pile of nachos, so try those if you bring friends. Service can be slow if not seated at the bar, however.

The ambiance was nice but the food and service...not so much. My boyfriend and I both ordered the fish tacos- his blackened, mine grilled. They both came out looking and tasting the same. The fish was cooked well, but lacked in flavor. The calamari was heavily breaded and overcooked. Our waitress seemed to dissapear time and time again, so we ended up waiting on the check for quite some time. Though this place had a cool atmosphere, the food was very underwhelming...I would not suggest eating here.

Food was great, but ran out of some of the food items. The hostess was horrible to start with, she skipped us a few times. She flat out lied to us and they really need a better system. The manager was nice and tried to work with us and did give us a little discount due to the food issues they were having. Slow service could be due to bosses being out of town!! This really sucks cause the food is pretty damn good but still wouldnt recommended it!
