This 5-star rating is well deserved by the owners. The establishment is a fairly new addition to San Marcos. My wife ordered a vanilla latte and said it was excellent. I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice. Now wait a minute, youll want to finish reading this... My orange juice was delivered and it was about 90% ice and 10% juice which amounted to about three sips before it was empty. Instead of leaving them a negative review knowing they were a new establishment, I private messaged their business page on Facebook. I sent them a photo of my cup of ice. I wanted to let them know about my disappointment in the hopes that they would provide a more reasonable portion for future customers. Here is where it gets interesting. While I was still there, the owners responded to me professionally and courteously via Facebook. They offered to remake the juice and informed me that the juice had not been made to their standards and that they were still training staff. They then proceeded to tell me what their standard is, and followed it up by calling into the location and having the staff remake the orange juice while I was still on the premises. The result? A satisfied customer who enjoyed a proper and delightfully fresh squeezed orange juice. And one who will definitely return. Thank you Perk Up for your responsiveness and customer service.

They were a bit understaffed, but the two employees who were there were really busting a move to try and keep up with the late morning rush. Our Lattes were well made and flavorful. We didnt order food, but they have a small selection of breakfast sandwiches, salads, and lunch sandwiches. Nothing struck me as a full meal, but were nice, moderately sized dishes. The environment is very bright, if not borderline sterile. Very modern/metro design. Not exactly the sit for hours and read type of coffee shop.

Got an excellent latte and a very nice toasted Almond Butter and Strawberry sandwich. Im a 275 pound dude, so everything seems small to me... I wont hold it against these folks. A small latte (10-12 oz I believe) and the sandwich was about $11. Little pricey, but you dont really go into coffee shops expecting cheap prices anymore. People inside all seemed positive and energetic. That is surprisingly important when stopping to grab a "pick me up".

My first experience have perk up coffee was perfect! I was greeted upon entrance with a warm welcoming hello from their friendly staff members. The place was clean and the menu was easy to read. I ordered then received fresh delicious light roast coffee with room for cream (upon request) and enjoyed the fresh cream& local honey they have to accommodate my coffee! Thank you for bringing your wonderful business to San Marcos!

Coffee shop/bistro Great food items. I have had three of their sandwiches and each one is as good as the last. Good coffee, but Im a tea/smoothie person and they have an awesome smoothie lineup. Very friendly and helpful staff Clean restrooms and space, good for small groups or personal space.

So delicious! And the loose leaf tea is superb! I would recommend on those days you need to get a study in with a healthy meal and drink. Great for hangouts with friends and even for a quick coffee to go.
