Co-worker and I came here because it was down the street from a great restaurant called Rosarios which had an hour wait time. When we got to Titos there were a few groups waiting in front of us and the gentleman who looked like the owner or manager looked lost like a deer in headlights. It took him 7 minutes to clear off two tables pushed together and get it ready for the group in front of us. There were also three lone chairs without a table that he left sitting in the middle of the room which remained there for the duration of our meal. We thought they were going to bring out a fire pit and roast marshmallows in the dining room! Every single staff member walked around looking more more confused than the next. Our server finally came to take our order, then came back a few minutes later to confirm it but it was wrong. My friend went to go check with the waiter as he saw him entering the order into the computer and luckily he caught him in time to make sure he got it right. I ordered my quesadillas without sour cream yet they came with a big dollop of sour cream sitting on top of my guacamole. As my friend said, the staff seems to see but not take notice. We asked the waiter for more salsa but he should have noticed that we were almost out of chips. When we finally asked for and he brought us more chips he simply dropped the new basket on top of the old one sideways. My poor friend who was very hungry ordered four beef tacos, but the plate only came with enough meat to stuff three tacos. He complained which he says he rarely does and they offered to give him a discount on his order. However when the check came the incorrect dish was still on the check in addition to the one he ate. I havent even mentioned the quality of the food yet. It was mediocre at best which leads me to question all of the other reviewers who have rated this restaurant. Honestly this place is best for drunken college students who really dont know any better. If you like excellent Mexican food with great service go 200 yards down the road to Rosarios. Theres a reason the line is long there. Its far superior to its neighbor.

5/24/15....TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT SERVICE. Sign states "SEAT YOURSELF".... When our party (7) arrived at the restaurant I quickly noticed that there were two tables unused with RESERVED signs on them right by the front window. After about 15 minutes passed I asked the waitress if anyone was going to use the RESERVED tables, she responded, "Oh no, not after all. You can have them." So I put the two tables together and shortly after that a tall woman with long hair came and approached me and asked what I was doing? My wife stated to her that the waitress said we could have the two tables, well the woman said "NO, these are reserved". So we abandoned the tables and waited for about another 10 minutes... I then noticed a large party starting to get up by the rear of the dining room so I approached the tall woman (tending the cash register this time) and stated to her that I noticed the large party leaving and if we could use the tables in the front and they could use those for the reserved party that was not there yet? In addition, I stated that we are only 7 and that table was at least for 20. The tall woman said NO, we have to sit you in the back and we will break up the tables after they are cleaned. After another 12 minutes our table was finally ready. We ordered our food (which was fair, nachos are made with same thin chips used for chips & salsa as you wait for your meal.) ate, paid and as our party was leaving we noticed that the RESERVED tables were still empty and never used.....WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN. If it were not that my nephew was set on eating at this establishment and was only in town for a few hours due to business we would have left after the first encounter with that tall woman. Fyi, our waitress was good and I did still leave her a well deserved tip with an extra note for the tall woman with long hair that walked around as if she managed the restaurant.

So we go to Titos to try it out and right when we walk in @ 12pm where standing there for about 6 minutes and no waiter comes up or anything so we self seated ourselves..Also never got any silverware or chops and salsa.. We had to ask for it and only got 3 napkins for 5 people. Not a good start.. So then are waiter comes and takes are drink orders which when she brought back she didnt know whos drink was whos so we try out their "famous margaritas" everyone keeps talking about and she comes 15 minutes later saying that they dont have any ice. "We ordered magaraitas on the rocks".. So had to get frozen magaraitas which was ok. When we were going to order one of my friends wanted breakfast tacos and she said we dont have any.. What kind of Mexican restaurant doesnt serve breakfast tacos afternoon on a Sunday.. Really!! So then she took our orders and another friends ordered shrimp nachos and she comes back 20 minutes later saying they dont have shrimp... SMH. So we finally we just ordered their street tacos and I must say really overpriced for 4 street tacos. Food was very" bland".. No flavor at all in the street tacos didnt even get lime. So overall bad experience and will never go there.. "The Friendly Spot" was better right next door that place was packed even when we left.. Oh also we left at 3:30. It took over an hour and a half to get our food @ Titos.

Im from San Antonio, TX and have encountered some terrible Mexican restaurants. Titos is not a terrible restaurant exactly, but it could use some MAJOR improvements. Im surprised that so many people have given such generous ratings to this restaurant. The staff is the first line of contact with the customer, and they didnt exactly seem thrilled to serve anybody coming into the restaurant. Not one staff member was smiling which makes me question how they treat their staff members. Our waiter took quite a bit of time bringing the chips and salsa, and then to finally get our order. He was also noticeably irritated, even when asked a simple question about something in the menu. I ordered the cream cilantro enchiladas and I was very disappointed. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry, and was topped with only Mexican crema and some bruised cilantro on top as a garnish. To me, even the enchiladas at Mama Margies are better than the enchiladas at Titos. Other than the very uninspired food, and unpleasant service, it was not a nice experience dining at Titos restaurant. If you love Mexican food, go to La Paloma Blanca, La Gloria at the Pearl, or even Rosarios that is right across the street. Thanks for reading. :)

Hey this is a great place to eat, super friendly, I had the mini tacos with a Model Especial draft, the chips were a cut above & the salsa was so good I asked for seconds. Apart from great food and top of the line service they are very honest, Sunday night we went back to eat with them but they were closed just people who were still eating so we left to find somewhere else to eat my money clip fell out with about $100. We ate down the street and when the check came is when I realized the money clip was missing. I backtracked my steps to in front of Titos and one of the waiters saw me and ask "Did you loose your wallet?" The owner put it up for me All in tact. I offered to give a reward they insisted it wasnt necessary. Thanks to Titos owner & staff people like yall restore my faith in humanity. Andy & Estela R. Dickinson TX. We will be back soon.
