Jan 30 at 8:17 AM We went out last night(1/29/2014) here in San Antonio Texas to Red Robin location 17403 IH-10 West San Antonio, TX 78257 approx.7:30-8:00pm-there was a mall nearby with several restaurants (we passed them by, HUGE mistake) every restaurant we passed had a PACKED parking lot -we should have known something was up when the (fairly large) Red Robin had maybe 12 tables occupied (3/4 empty) at least 2 of these tables were loud and drunk . I remember being shocked (and remarked to my husband "wow this place is empty". We had to change tables to get away from one loud obviously drunk table BUT as we sat down very loud music with a frantic "meth" beat (what we used to call "club music) began to play ,the place was all but empty and the music was inappropriately LOUD. I used to enjoy going out to a popular club in Boston and dancing ALL night to this kind of music it was LOUD and pulsing, BUT the club held 1,000 people (I know because I dated the owner briefly) THIS IS NOT MUSIC TO EAT BY!!!(HELLO RED ROBIN MANAGER!!!) As we looked around we observed 4 tables with people who were obviously over 60, one couple looked to be in their 80s(!) truthfully- so how much do you think they were enjoying the music??? My Husband is a Military Captain but a former professional drummer in HEAVY METAL BANDS and I sang 6 nights a week,52 weeks a year in my own 6 piece pop/rock band Touché we are not "old fogies" When we called the manager to ask him to turn the music down he was very sweet but admitted he "just tuned the music out" end quote. Our Burger was tasteless the meat was low quality , I dont care how much guacamole you slap on top of it ( and not cheap) The ANGUS Burgers at a local chain called "Carl Jr.s" was FANTASTIC " (AND MUCH CHEAPER, GO FIGURE) compared to the "nothing "Red Robin burger! Oh yeah our second serving of "bottomless fries were stiff, stale and dried out. The only bright spot in the evening was our Waitress Sierra, a lovely intelligent sweet girl who was terrific at her job, it was slow and 3/4 empty so I engaged her briefly in conversation, she reminded me of a niece. Other than Sierra, the visit was a bust! Head on over to Carl Jr.s ( we are new to San Antonio, from 3 years in England) and order the Angus Burger with sweet Potato fries, youll thank me! Stay away from Red Robin, what a disappointment, we wanted to LOVE it, boy were we wrong! "Red Robin ,UGH"

If you have food allergies BEWARE!! I was actually excited to get a burger at this establishment. We were trying to have a family dinner and my in-law has celiac disease. Red robin has a digital gluten-free menu which is nice however the severs that serve the food have no clue on what those items are. After the menu specifically saids "corn chip strips" after we made it clear to our server of an allergy. Our appetizer arrives and after we ate the server comes back and saids "umm let me take this its not gluten free" Management is just as clueless as the server he had no idea what to do or say not even offer us a free meal instead he told us we should have known what the corn strips looked like. At this point we were all frustrated we just left. Honestly there are much better places than this establishment. It makes me wonder what they would have done if there was a much more serious allergic reaction what would they have done.

Decent Red Robin compared to most. The beer selection is very lacking and the staff is too busy having little get togethers at one end of the bar to be very helpful. They were attentive enough to offer refills and there when they needed to be. The food was lacking, and the concept of extra onions and no lettuce or tomato must have gone over their heads as it showed up with 3 little slivers of onion with lettuce and tomato. They say that their ghost pepper whatever burger is hot, but the medium sauce at any wing place is noticeably hotter that this sauce. Same as any Red Robin though, good for families, but youd probably be better off at a lot of other places.

The bathrooms were gross. For a family friendly place, that was the dirtiest baby changing table Ive ever seen. It hasnt been cleaned properly in long time but someone is restocking the paper liners. The burger was edible but the fries were terrible. My husband and I ordered the same burger, a little pink in the middle, mine was well done and his was pink. The fries tasted like the grease needed to be changed and they were a little soggy like the fryer was not at the right temperature. I only give 2 Stars because our waitress was supper nice.

Yall, the bottomless fries are the only reason to go here. The cheese sticks were overbreaded, cold and congealed and the fried zucchini was rubbery and hardly breaded. After such mediocre appetizers, I decided to pass on an entree and go with a drink instead. Dont order the frozen cocktails! The ice was barely blended, yet the drink was mostly ice. Not to mention the margarita tasted like saltwater mixed with old limes. I wanted so badly to enjoy my experience, but ended with a million reasons to go somewhere else instead.

We were seated quickly, but our server took longer to take our drink/food order We ordered spinach & chip dip for $7 it was small & not great - Id skip this appetizer Our drinks came awhile after or appetizer (kinda backwards to me) The food was ok.... Id eat here as a second choice The service could have used some work. Nice girl but looked like she didnt really want to be there, her demeanor wasnt very happy. They give a military discount on Mondays and their bathrooms werent bad at all.

Had a great experience last night, was our first time visiting Red Robin we showed up at 10 mnts prior to them closing, we were not sure of their our of operations, they still allowed us in and provided great service Bobby who was our server was very proffesional and took time to explained us the menu and provided great service, my wife and I were very please and we would return to eat and recommend our friends.

The food here is pretty good and all the servers weve had were great. The last time we were there the waitress was awesome. She was great with our kids and with hubby and me. She made suggests when we asked for them and our glasses would get to just less than half full and shed bring the next drink. One of my daughters got a bottomless root beer float and it was the same way. She was just great and so sweet!

Terrible service came before a group of people and and other couples and were waiting to be serviced at least for drinks, and after 20 minutes of waiting still nothing. But the big group has drinks and is getting there order taken already. Very unprofessional they could have at least told us they would get to us momentarily but nothing. One of the worst services Ive encountered yet.

Pretty good service! I have yet to dine in. Only bad thing was that I wanted a burger and thought the waffle sandwich was a burger and not chicken. I wish I would have been corrected when I said I wanted the waffle burger. Waffle chicken sandwich was good though. Employees are always nice at this location. I would return and recommend this location.
