Great food, they really care about their food quality and taste, and they know their customers by name. The way I remember that restaurants used to be before the chains came along and made dining out into experiences that feel uninvolved, dull, and uncaring. In contrast, Lung Fung in Boerne has all of the best features of a family owned business that make every visit very enjoyable and inspiring. Admittedly its not the place to go if youre looking for fancy décor -- its homey in the style of those individually-owned restaurants that have withstood the test of time. I have enjoyed everything we have tried, but am very partial to the Special Beef and to the Three Delicacies dishes. Its such a rare delight to visit a restaurant where the owners have a true passion for both great tasting food and a warm atmosphere. Recommended- highly!!

The thing about chinese cuisine is that it has so many styles that few restaurants master even one, Lung Fung is the exception to this rule, having seemingly mastered all. Theyre making amazing Chinese food with painstaking attention to detail thats obvious on the plate. The vegetables are all perfectly uniform and doneness of the meat is spot on, even in dishes that have multiple proteins. I rarely order chow mein, as its usually poorly prepared, but theirs on offer at their buffet was absolutely perfect and the noodles appeared to be handmade. Their lunch buffet is daily, I believe, and the dinner buffet on Wednesdays is the perfect way to try something new. I always stop by when I can and will be returning soon, hungry for more.

A great place! Not your run of the mill Chinese food, always fresh tasting. My favorite has to be the sweet and sour pork, though everything Ive tried has been a treat. Their wonton soup is soooo good! Went tonight (buffet night!)and just about busted a gut. Alan is a great guy, and his staff are all friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere, with muted music thats very pleasurable and appropriate. Dont pass this place up if you have a yen for great Chinese!

For my wife and myself, Lung Fung is one of the few places we can go to and know were going to have a good experience and good food every time. I would say theyve never changed in 10 years, but the recent remodel took the atmosphere up a notch!!! We always fight about where to eat, but when one of us wants Chinese food theres never really an argument. ALL of the positive comments posted before mine are absolutely true.

Best Asian food in Boerne and excellent one-of-a-kind restaurant all around! Great service, excellent menu, food is hot and fresh-prepared. (Buffet is even done in very small amounts, so it does not get mushy!) Regular traffic during lunch time from the local High Schools. Alan and Annie do a great job (and Alan can spice it up if you dare). Great take-out service too. Swear by their Sesame Chicken (XX spicy!).

Lung Fung is THE best Chinese restaurant in Boerne. Food is always excellent. They use fresh ingredients .... even for the table sauces. Allen told us, "Youll never see the SysCo truck dropping off product here. We only use fresh ingredients. TheY have the best hot mustard but beware .... itll clear your sinuses. Family business. Friendly service. Excellent buffet on Wednesday evenings but get here early.

Way overcooked sweet and sour pork and general tso chicken. Fried rice that came with it was dry. Both meals were pretty much inedible. Egg rolls hardly had any filling and were super greasy. Even the Wonton soup flavor was off and meat was like rubber. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because service was fast and my son liked his lo mein.

I havent been here in ten years. I also havent lived near Boerne in ten years. Looking up places to eat since Im going back to visit family. I have to say Im really glad theyre still around. Really looking forward to the tofu hunan style. Id say theyre the Bumdoodlers of Chinese food......

Great food and service. Alan knows what you want before you sit down.If you want it hotter just tell him. He can pour on the heat. Although I generally eat the same thing, I do venture out and try other dishes. I have not been disappointed. Theyre all good.

I love coming to the lunch buffet. They have 8 main dishes, 2 soups, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and several other snack type items. Today they had batter coated crab legs. You can judge a good Chinese restaurant by its Mu Shi Pork...outstanding!

This is a boerne staple. The owners and waitstaff are very sweet people. Its a lovely quiet place. I always get the sesame chicken. The chicken is crispy and not overwhelmed with sauce but still very flavorful.
