I went in to the Mehran restaurant with some doubts because the menu seemed quite limited. Reading the reviews, I was quite scared because a few patrons complained of cold food. However I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED By the food, the owner came to check on us twice, I thought that was lovely. She offered tea as well. Very nice. I would like to rate this place 3.5/5 based on my experience. The reason its not 4 or 5 is because of the following: 1. When we got there, there was no one to seat us; a young man studying had to go call someone from the kitchen. 2. Im really picky about service - this restaurant needs improvement. Do not just place napkins on the table, its impolite. Have a napkin holder or bring napkins on a small plate. 3. Bringing in plates or dishes, please bring them on a tray- and serve them rather than handing them the patrons. 4.Dishes need to be served with serving spoons! Bring the spoons with the dishes or else count how many spoons you need. 5. We ordered chicken biryani, goat karhai, palak paneer, chicken tikka and beef Kabab. We asked for a reduced amount of oil to be used...I guess it was because the goat karhai wasnt swimming in oil. The palak paneer wasnt up to taste, really...it was ok. 6. Please turn on the lights in the evening. Its gloomy in there! Overall not bad. Needs improvement b zksh in, needs some improvement

I was very lucky to have the opportunity to go to this restaurant. I was introduced to this restaurant through a coworker that just got promoted and I have to say that I am glad that I went. I thought the food was memorable, but definitely is an acquired taste. What made it memorable was that it had a unique flavor and some interesting dishes that I have never had before but I didn’t find myself going for seconds or rushing to tell my friends about this restaurant. Some of the food included a rice mixture with seasoned chicken legs mixed in, a mixture with beef and fat chunks in some sort of soup, an interesting chicken patty, and a strange beef patty with a spicy flavor. The dessert was a tapioca pudding and bread balls soaked in a sugary syrup. All of these dishes were edible but probably not something that I would go out of my way to eat again. It was a buffet style restaurant that was reasonably priced and was very clean. I would recommend this restaurant if you like spicy food, are a little bit of an adventurous spirit, and are interested in different cultures. I could see this place being a go-to restaurant for people that are from India or Pakistan but my not be your first choice if you are not used to this type of food. Overall it was a great experience and I am grateful to have had that experience.

Most tasty delicious halal foods with variety of dishes along with variety of breads n rices More than the taste the hospitality n reception shown to the guest is most appreciated. The proprietor himself coming out to serve the guest moreover the cook she also coming out to hear the opinion n suggestions about the preparation and taste of the food supplied to my family. We all have had nice food with homely satisfaction in a reasonable price Thank god ALHAMDHULILLAH. Definitely I would recommend all my family friends to visit here whenever they come to this town

We reached there and even though the place looked nice from the outside there was no one at the reception area and we were ignored by the staff inside the restaurant and despite the fact that there were several empty seats they were entertaining only two tables and not even looking at the people who were waiting to be seated. After waiting at the reception for 15 minutes we left the place as they were not interested in seating us which shows lack of professionalism. Very poor customer service and I would not recommend this restaurant.

I ordered 3beef kabob and goat curry. Comes with no sudes, so we have to order 4 rice($4.99 each). Each rice can feed 2 people, but I didnt know that.The beef kabob doesnt look like the traditional kabob were accustomed to, It looks like meat loaf. I also order garlic naan( bread )each order comes with about 5 bread, also I didnt know that. They didnt explain to me what Im getting even though I already told them Im from out of town. Food was great bit I rather eat in for $80.00 price

Came from Dallas to San Antonio and we were looking for a Pakistani Halal restaurant. We were very lucky we found Mehran! Great food, great service and CLEAN! All at a great price. The Tikka boti was fresh and succulent and the servings were huge. 2 dishes were more than enough for 4 ppl. Finished with a hot cup of tea, a perfect ending to a day of sightseeing. The best part was the friendly service by a Mr. Muhammad Ashraf. Thank you for making our dinner so pleasant!

The lady at the counter was nice but the food was not so impressive, no salt in dal, only 1 piece of chicken in "Chicken Biryani" and to add to everything she charged us $46 for kadai chicken, chicken biryani, veg noodles, dal and 1 tea(supposedly she gave another tea free), we were in a rush so did not check the prices but analyzed after we got home, this is not fair. bad people, bad business, what a shame!!!

The service was terrible. She didnt know the menu. It took her 15 mins to bring me tea and another 15 mins for a refill. We were the only ones in the restaurant and had to ask two to three times for anything we wanted. When we finally got our food it wasnt what we asked for. The food was not tasty at all. Even found a roach under the table. It would of been nice to have a childrens menu.

Cashier was friendly and wait staff very helpful with selections. When the food FINALLY came it was lukewarm almost cold. The elementary school style tray was ridiculous. Hardly any food for the price. The drink was a damn soda can. Atmosphere nice, service nice, food not good and overpriced. Sad

Everything was good about this place, awesome ambience and decor, very friendly staff and great service. The food was good in taste, not so authentic though. The highlight was the tea : "Gharwali chai". The staff was welcoming and hospitable. Had a delicious and toothsome dinner at Mehran.

Great Food and Friendly Service. Its extremely healthy as well. The spices and ingredients of Indian food reportedly has an antiCancer effect. The cancer rate is much lower in India than Western Counties because of this. So the food is good to you and good for you.

I just ordered delivery and even though it took awhile to get here the food is phenomenal. They were super kind to me and included a free dessert. The Tikka paneer Masala was unbelievably good. I will definitely be ordering again and I recommend it to anyone.

Really good food! It tastes very home made and the owner is the restaurant is nice too! Its pretty clean , relaxing ambiance and fairly close to everywhere . The best part is that they deliver! Im going to try their samosas next.
