On our first visit the red sauce with garlic was just amazing, I have been craving authentic red sauce like we used to get in Italy & have been searching for a place. We have been back 3 more times from our initial visit hoping for the same quality of food. I must say the service especially during lunch is just terrible. The waiters never know the menu or what the dishes consist of, one specific waiter couldnt even explain the differences in the sauces. The restaurant had a Mussels lunch special & the mussels that were served were mushy & extremely over-cooked. We kept going back hoping we could get the same taste/flavor we did on that first visit but I tell you it had to be a fluke of nature because it has never been duplicated. Also, the staff from the lady at the register (who also greets you), to the waiter & lastly the owner are all very short with you & rude. The owner who walks around, will not even speak to you unless you are of someone of importance, at least in his eyes (in my honest opinion). The one thing I can tell you that has remained consistent is the very poor quality of customer service. I had the strong feeling that they really didnt care at all about your repeated patronage, which I found very odd (I mean, arent we the ones keeping them open)? Every time we had went, the restaurant was near empty... yet the service is extremely slow or sub par at best (I mean, it is not difficult to refill water glasses). Normally, I would not have given a place soo many chances but like I said I was longing to get that specific taste back. I often joke with my husband that they must have flown a special chef in for that specific day (on our first visit) because it was just my family & a local politicians family dining for lunch. We must have just gotten lucky. Will not ever be going back~ not on my dime. One positive note: we did enjoy the elderly gentleman that plays the piano during weekend dining, he gets the one star.

First, the food. It was your average, non-chain Italian fare. My wife had the meat lasagna. She commented that it was lacking the ricotta cheese. Upon tasting it myself, I found it to be bland. I had the pizza with pepperoni , sausage, and black olives. It was rather good, but no better or worse than any other Italian restaurant in town. Next, the service. We were seated immediately, but then again the place was half empty. However, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to come and take our drink order and give us a set of silverware/napkin. When she did come to take our drink order, she also rushed us to make our dinner selection. Luckily, we had plenty of time before then to look at the menu. The food was delivered rather quickly, but then that was the last we saw of our waitress until the check arrived. During that time we finished our drinks and had to flag down a different waiter for a refill. We also finished our bread, and never got a refill. When the check came, the waitress asked if I needed a box for the remainder of my pizza. Upon saying, "yes" she took the pizza to put is a box. That was almost the last I saw of it. Prior to coming back for my payment, she apparently gave my extra pizza to a different table that was just finishing up their own dinner. When she brought back my credit card I asked her about my pizza. She then realized she had given my pizza to a different table and scrambled to get it back before they left (they were just getting up from their table). We left after she gave us the leftover pizza...or so I thought. When we got home I had the feeling that I should look in the box that held the pizza. Surprise! NO PIZZA!! Instead there is someone elses pasta. I called the restaurant to complain and they (obviously) claimed there is nothing they could do. They wont even refund a portion of the bill. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Food is a hit or miss but service is HORRIBLE!!!!! We were referred to this restaurant for the excellent food and some dishes were excellent while others were bland. We went on a Friday night & the restaurant was not very busy. It took over an hour for us to be seated, party of 9, and we were told we could wait at the bar, with no bartender. The manager was working the bar off and on and when I asked if we could order a drink, he said, "When Im finished serving these." We waited for quite a while before a nice waiter came and gave us free drinks! That was probably the highlight of the night. Then, we were finally seated and 3 sets of utensils were passed out that were dirty, not just spotted, dirty with noodles still stuck in the forks! The waiter seemed to take it personal and treated us horrible the rest of the night. He practically threw the appetizers down on the table and rolled his eyes when we needed anything. He messed up all of our checks and charged us for drinks we didnt order. We were all polite and patient with him until the very end when he snatched my check from my hand because I told him we were overcharged. I then asked for the manager who was no better. I told him that our waiter was very rude and we didnt appreciate being treated like that when we were spending over $500 there AND the waiter made an $85 tip! He just said sorry. He didnt offer to comp anything or repeatedly try to apologize. He just basically shrugged his shoulders like, "Too bad!" We will NEVER go to this restaurant again! In fact, we will recommend that people go spend their hard-earned money in an environment that appreciates your business! One such restaurant is Aldacos at Sunset Station!

Went to eat there with my mother for lunch and she asked if her meal came with a salad and the waiter explained it would be $1.50 extra which she said would be fine, and then the waiter went on to ask me if I would like a salad and I said yes, a caeser. Once the bill came it showed a salad for $1.50 and then another salad for $6 (the caeser) which the waiter just happened to neglect mentioning cost more! When we asked why he didnt disclose the difference in price he just shrugged his shoulders and said it was on the menu and when we explained we didnt want to pay that much when he didnt say explain it would be that much he was difficult so we just asked for the manager. Well the manager was absolutely no use at all after escalating this issue to him and he was extremely rude. My mother stated she would be happy with paying for half the amount which would be $3 and he stated that the best he could do was take $1.95 off the salad. When I asked if he was the general manager or the owner he actually said he was the owner! And the owner can only afford $1.95 instead of $3 to make a customer happy when his profit margin on that salad is probably $5 or more?!? And the dollar amount is not even the point here obviously, but it was the way he handled it and how rude he was. Luckily for him one of his employees came to my place of employment (which she is actually one of my customers) and apologized for the bad service we received. I might actually go back to this restaurant ONLY because the food was good and because this employee went out of her way just to apologize for them.
