Just went there for veterans day for the free meal and it really was just a bad experience. The food was "fine" but tasted totally processed and boxed and for the price youre paying you would expect a better flavor! My husband got the mannicoti for $14! Next time I might as well just go to the grocery store and buy him a box one -itll be waay cheaper and probably taste better, too! The service was fine except the watress forgot to mention that the table tablets that they have for kids to play on cost money -we thought you wouldve had to swipe your card to activate them so we let our kids play on them not knowing we were being charged. :/ Then she charged me for sauce with out telling me before and for a drink that shouldve just been a refill... oh AND I left without getting my credit card back. -i dont remember if she ever gave it back to me or not- I know its not her fault, it was just another annoying part of the experience. I called them about half an hour after leaving and then again later but they never found it. :/ Our kids were with us and so we ordered them both a kids meal but it was too hot for them to eat until we got home that evening and then it was disgusting!!! They both got the mac n cheese but both refused to eat it cuz they said it was gross, I thought they were just being too picky so I tried some and no, it was indeed nasty! How can an Italian restaurant screw up macaroni and cheese?!! If i was guessing Id say it tasted like powder or corn starch. Just ew. I guess in a way Im grateful for this experience for reminding us why we dont go out to eat hardly ever anymore and why we are never eating at Olive garden again! Thanks for saving us money in the future!

Olive Garden in many areas, has great decor, a wide selection in food, and great service. It has been one of my favorite places to eat. The location here in Lubbock on 19th close to the mall is an exception though. Well, in the last month or so it has become the exception. First couple of dining experiences were good (not great), and has went down hill since. Alfredo has become watery, and never prepared the same way twice.. thinly sliced chicken one meal, chucks the next, and cubes the last. Same can be said for the steak Gorgonzola (spelling). My wife orders the seafood dishes and finds them to be cold and bland. The bread sticks have lost their appeal, flavors have changed. The salad dressing was something to be relished and dreamed about before going... and now you sit down to find a tablespoon at max in the bowl of salad they bring. I have not had bad service at the place yet, wait staff is always friendly and prompt with requests. I have yet to see a manager in the place though. The food has simply gone down hill since moving here a year ago. (Feb 1st 2013, noticed on job boards that they are hiring what seems to be a whole new crew.) Update: Above review was about a month or two ago. In the last week we have eaten there again, and the food has improved quite a bit. Not top notch yet but getting back to what olive garden is all about.

It was not that great. The last few times I have been there the food quality has been lacking. I tried the mezzaluna; it was terrible. It was a four cheese stuffed ravioli in white wine cream sauce with shrimp. The pasta was chewy, the cheese was like rubber. This tasted like something frozen I could get from the grocery store. The shrimp was fishy in smell and flavor. This was a disappointing experience and I most likely will not return to olive garden for a long while. I actually had not been to this olive garden in a few months because during the previous trip the waiter kept trying to up-sell my friends and I on everything. The time before that we tried another special which was not very good, and when the manager came up to the table to ask about the food, we said it was not good....and she agreed, smiled and walked away.

The food was subpar especially for 71.03. The sampler tasted like it had freezer burn; definitely not fresh, heck not even freezer fresh. The taste of Italy hmm lets just says Italians should be ashamed if this is the true taste. Thank goodness my husband will eat anything. The waitress I have had better service from IHOP and paid way less no offense to IHOP. I had to continue to tell her to remove items from our table that we were clearly done with. She started to leave before she even finished taking our order should have known right then. She would have gotten no tip if I had been paying for it but since it was my daughters treat to my husband and I for our 9th anniversary. I kept my mouth shut. But it was not good I give it a big thumbs down.

Randy the manager was amazing! I unfortunately had a bad experience while they were training somebody and called 1 manager same night and was offered a gift card for my full meal... Never did I get it in the mail. I called again and spoke with another manager and she said she would send it... Never got it. Finally I talked to Randy and she was so helpful and even suggested if I would like to go in to pick up gift card that I never got. So I went in. She came to my table, introduced herself and gave me the gift card. Our server was even amazing! We love Olive Garden! We are just glad that Randy took care of the issue and resolved it immediately and sincerely.

I am from San Antonio and I moved here about 8 months ago Olive Garden is mine and my familys favorite place to eat. But since moving here the Olive garden is not really good at all. In San Antonio it was perfect every time but here I have ordered the same shrimp scampi since it came out and well in 8 months I have been there 4 times and every time its messed up and made different the chicken is always over cooked and super tiny I pay 15 dollars for a dish I dont want nasty food I mean seriously they need to work on there cooks. the waiters are nice but the food is grose. Thank Goodness Im moving back to San Antonio!
