I went here twice this week while on business. 1st time- 3 stars. I ordered the Manicotti, which was not bad at all and the food came very fast despite them being very busy. The waiter was very nice but never once checked on me during my meal; only to get my order and bring the check. I also ordered a vanilla vodka and diet coke which was no bigger than the size of a can of soda and cost $11 which was outrageous. 2nd time- 0 stars. I came during my lunch break and ordered the tortellini with chicken right away as I looked at the menu online ahead of time. There were only a couple tables and after 30 minutes of no server in sight, the woman behind me got her food when she ordered far after me. I told him I needed to leave soon and he said itd be out in a minute. 10 minutes later the food finally arrived, I asked for a box and the bill and started to eat quickly. First off, the tortellini was SWIMMING in sour pesto alfredo. I picked out the noodles in my to go and there must have been two cups of sauce in the bowl left over...it looked like soup. Second, I had no chicken. When he gave me my bill I asked about it in which he replied "I wasnt charged." So it took 40 minutes to cook tortellini and they didnt even have to grill a piece of chicken because the server forgot to ring it in. I can only assume he forgot to ring my whole order in and thats why it took so long. It was impossible to find the server, took far too long, the order was incorrect, and no apologies were expressed from the server or the manager. By the time the check came I had to run back to my conference and eat there. It was not even that good, but there was no time to stop anywhere else. Ive been dining out to lunch everyday this week at other places on the riverwalk and have always been in and out during peak times in about 30 minutes. This visit took almost an hour from start to finish, and I didnt even get to eat my meal.

I dont often write reviews, but after this four day trip with some friends to San Antonio, we decided it was necessary to review all of the restaurants we ate at (both good and bad). Paesanos was the WORST restaurant we ate at during our trip. The wait was much longer than expected and the bar was crowded. After being seated at our table, our waitress quickly took our drink orders and walked away before allowing us to place our meal orders. The waitress was in control of too many tables and did not seem interested in catering to young adults. Little after receiving our drink orders, another member of the staff proceeded to pour out old drinks in the rocks next to us, splashing all over our legs and clothes. The man realized his mistake, yet didnt say or do anything to make up for it. We asked the waitress for the manager and quickly mentioned the problem, and although he quickly apologized, no further action was taken. Then our meals came out. The food tasted terrible. The tomato sauce tasted like it was from a can, the noodles were thick and about the same quality as a frozen dinner, and the fried eggplant Parmesan was overcooked and far over-breaded. I wouldnt call myself a food connoisseur, but Ive had my fair share of both terrible and amazing Italian meals in Houston and Galveston, and this Italian food was far worse than any Ive had before. Im sure the fettuccine Alfredo tasted wonderful, but I advise staying away from outside dining or red sauce. The virgin drinks were low quality and extremely small for the price (Tower of the Americas had a much better virgin Pina Colada in a much larger cup), and the water tasted powdery and unfiltered. Water is typically not something I complain about, but this water, like much of the experience, left a bad taste in my mouth.

I was looking for Italian restaurants along the river walk to eat at for my boyfriend and Is one year. I read the reviews and was unsure, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. We went on a Thursday night and were seated immediately, despite us showing up 15 minutes before our reservation. Our waitress brought us our waters and asked us if we wanted any appetizers. We each wanted one and then she pointed out the "pick 3" appetizer option on the menu and we were both very pleased that she pointed it out to us. We got the appetizers shortly after that and we both LOVED what we had gotten. I got the fried artichoke hearts and he got the shrimp and calamari. When it came time for our main dish, I took a long time for me to decide what i wanted but the waitress didnt show one bit of frustration and she answered any question I had. When it came to the main meal, we again both loved what we got. Also, we had a seat along the river walk and before it began to downpour, they asked if we would like to move closer to the wall so we wouldnt get soaked. During our time there, the waitress did not talk to us much, but still got us all we needed in a timely manner. I didnt mind that she didnt talk much, to me, it seemed like she was trying to give us our privacy but did a great job at making sure we got what we wanted at the same time. Needless to say, the customer service here was great! I would recommend this restaurant and hopefully I will be going back soon.

Customer Service: This was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever seen. If this happened in one of my stores, I would have had her fired on the spot. I had friends in town, decided since I had eaten at Paesanos on 1604 and enjoyed it that I would take them to the Riverwalk. When I walked to the front to ask for a table, not even a hello from the greeter. I asked for a table for 4 adults. She walked me to a table that she wanted to sit me at, but was very small. There were about 20 tables out on the Riverwalk, but not one customer was there, not even one person. So I asked to sit at a bigger table and she tonight is our busy night and she cant allow that. I said you have not got one customer here and I want a bigger table. She said no, so I asked for the manger, and that person never came. So I walked back to the front, and told that that I am taking my business elsewhere as I feel that you treated me with disrespect. I ate at the Hard Rock, next door, and had great food and great service. While I was eating at the Hard Rock, only one couple sat at this rude Customer Service restaurant. By the time we left, the tables were still 90% empty. So, I cant rate the food, but I can tell you that I will never go back to this place and will certainly tell my experiences to my friends, my family and all who will listen.

Okay first off if I did my research and read reviews I would not have settled for this place, I was visiting San Antonio for the weekend and the spot I was planning to eat at was the Hard Rock Cafe but it was closed off due to a private party so the next spot was this Italian restaurant. Only reason we decided to eat here because I didnt want to keep on walking to find a another restaurant and it was already 9 close to closing time for a lot of restaurants. So I ended up ordering the Parmesi crusted chicken with spinach and linguini noodles. Since the waiter recommend it and assisting she love the dish. No! Too greasy and oily for my taste. The noodle was soaked in olive oil and top with a fried breaded chicken. For it to be a 20 dollar plate is was such a rip off. Lean cruisine taste better than this. Instead of butter serve with bread. They give you olive oil with pepper! Wth! Ended spending 70 dollars for two plates and one kid personal pizza. If the food was great I would not complain about the price but when you price gouging make sure your food meet the price. I would never go back. The waiter was great but not the outcome.
