I work right down the road from this business and thought I would give it a try. I called to see if they had a website so I could see a menu because a co-worker was going to get pick it up. Our conversation - Me: Hi, do you have a website? Lady with foreign accent: I dont think so. I dont know anything about computers. Me: Ok. Is there Lady cuts me off: I am very busy and dont have time to talk to you about stuff like that!! Me: (shocked) That was very rude. I dont think Ill ever be eating at your restaurant. Lady: Thats fine with me. Im still a little shocked by how short and unbelievably rude she was to me. Not only do I live and work in the area, but I grew up here too. I dont have a problem letting everyone I know what a crappy attitude they have. Too bad cause I could have been a good repeat customer.

I visited Buon Giorno mid week for lunch with my daughter and my sister and her son. The service was quick. We ordered a sandwich and soup. The soup tasted like it came out of a can but the sandwich was good. The almond coffee was delicious and much cheaper than Starbucks. I was planning to visit frequently just for coffee alone ...until the owner came over and spoke to my daughter. She was eating cheerios, and dropping them on the floor occasionally, as every one year old does. The owner was clearly irritated by it and asked my daughter if she was going to clean it up... Shes one! :/ So all in all, coffee is great, but this is definitely not a kid friendly restaurant.

I cant believe Ive lived so close to this place for so many years and never visited! Incredible little cafe hidden away. The nicest Italian lady will serve you and have wonderful conversation with you. Very chic little place with a delightful homey feel. Youll feel like youre in Grandmas kitchen again. If youre into just black coffee, this probably isnt the place. If you want pastries, light meals, and the like, then you cannot miss this place. Cappuccinos are delectible and professionally crafted (the owner is Italian after all!). I cant believe I lived many years of my life without this place, please learn from my mistake and go here today!

Wanted to try it out after a recommendation as I am half Italian and my wife is 100% Italian. She always likes a good pastry. Nothing there seemed to pique her fancy. When we pulled up at 0735, the lady employee was on one of the front tables smoking a cigarette in front of the sign that said: "No Smoking." Another sign said a "No Smoking Establishment" on the front door to the place. When we walked in there was a cloud of smoke that we had to walk through. I got a Colombian Cafe. It was so so. My wife did get anything. It was empty inside.

This is one of the best hidden gems in San Antonio. The desserts are sold at high end restaurants all over the city. One suggestion, pre-order the full size cakes. Youll be able to order a slice, but youll almost never be able to order a whole tiramisu or zopaeglasia (sorry for the spelling) without ordering ahead of time. They also serve a mean sandwich and are very near a public library. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is vintage, and the staff has been there from day one. The dinning area is cozy, but parking is limited.

I went off the reviews and I have no clue where they get all these stars. Very disappointing. The "Italian soda" was a knock off. Consisted of sprite and flavored syrup and cool whip. Wayyyy to sweet. I had a sandwiche which comes with chips and fruit. Well, less than 1/2 a cup of chips (lays to be exact) and 6 grapes. I got the reuben sandwich and consisted to cold cuts that made no sense and definitely dar from a reuben. And canoli was store bought. I had such high expectations and was sooo bummed to have had gotten that.

Casual, classy, and intimate. Im in love with this luncheon after one visit. My pastrami sandwich was perfect. :) Outstanding for a quiet lunch, a business meeting, or romantic afternoon slip away. Cant wait to bring my wife! Bonus: The owner is this beautiful little old lady makes the food and even delivered the sandwich to my table herself. I was in aww, as it was like my own mother taking care of me in her home. Her staff was very friendly as well. Good to know: No Wi-Fi.

Great Desserts, Great Cappuccino. My wife asked for a hot chocolate and the waitress said yes but it was not on the menu and continued on with a speech with kind of made it seem like they were annoyed with the off menu request. (No hot chocolate on the menu?). Both waitresses were also intrusive on our conversation and could not work the register and at one point rang up $135. I did the math on my phone and was charged accordingly.

On Monday I had the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had, even in my own kitchen. The staff, including the owner, who was criticized by one writer for her phone demeanor, could not have been more polite. Maybe the day that person called was the day the building next door was on fire. I recommend this sandwich to everyone. I have gone to several restaurants in SA trying to find a good Reuben. Who knew it was so close to home?

While Im in the area, I came here today looking for something quick but no chain. I am simply in love with this place. The food is amazingly good. Not in the way that they stuff you sick with food or something so fancy that you rarely go, just simple good food, felt like my grandma was making me lunch when I was a kid again. The ambience, service and food all come together for a wonderful dining experience.

This cute cafe is a blue plate winner, so I had to come check it out. When you first walk in its like stepping into an antique shoppe. So many different items to look at while enjoying your coffee. I ordered the almond joy latte and a cinnamon roll. Both were delicious. I cant wait to come back during lunch time to enjoy the other food this place has to offer. I highly recommend!

The food is amazing, the service is 5 star worthy, the italian sodas will make your mouth go insane, the milkshakes melt in your mouth, the sandwich meals are well balanced, and dont get me started on their mouthwatering soup. Im from Colorado and this is my new/favourite lunch place whenever I visit San Antonio.

This place is owned by an Italian lady and the espresso is great! They have great home made cookies, pecan coconut is my favorite so far. The prices are great and the espresso and cappuccinos are better than Starbucks. If your looking for a quite place to get away and have a good cup of coffee this is it!
