Ever since I started going to Floresville, (I live in S.A.) to work ocassionally, for the last 3 years, Matas was the second of 4 or 5 mexican-food restaurants recommended and I stuck with it. I havent even tried to find out about the other places. So when Im in town I go for the breakfast tacos. I am not a regular there, but have always been treated well. Prices are reasonable. Food and service are great, what else can I say? Keep it up, Matas Team.

Went to matas for first visit and thought the food was okay. The service was not so great. Thought they were just having an off day. Gave it another try. Again the food was so so and the service stunk. Our waitress hardly gave us the time to order before she quickly grabbed the menus from the table. Dont bother asking questions about the menu items because they have no time to answer them. Spend your money and time in a more friendlier restaurant

I would have a picture but never got my food! It was just two tacos with coffee and three tacos with big red and the waitress never offered a menu. The big red came out but coffe took 20 mins. Then we decided to leave after 35 mins of waiting and said it would be another 30 mins for TACOS!!! Easy to make to make tacos, its not a big place but had to wave someone down just to get more coffee. Wasted our time going here.

Ive always liked the food at Matas, and its my go-to place for breakfast tacos. Theyre seriously busy in the morning, so call ahead if youre going to take your tacos home. If no one answers, keep trying. Theres usually only one girl taking payments and answering the phone at the front and she will take care of the customers in front of her before she answers the phone. So when she does pick up, dont be rude.

I live in Floresville. I love Matas. Its run by a family and they have great food. The only downside is the high school girls they tend to hire are terrible. They can be very rude if you dont consistently leave them tips. In all the time Ive been going there, the only decent waitstaff has been the actual family members. Matas- quit hiring those girls!

Seating is always a problem when its just , tbusy no order its fend for your self and if you wait for a waiteress to notice ya it may take a moment , the good how ever is very good the tacos are huge help I g their tea is good and the salsa and chips are good as well ,, I have returned several times !

GREAT FOOD AND WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT IS THE OWNER GOES TO EVERY TABLE AND GREETS HIS CUSTOMERS AND MAKES SURE EVERYTHING IS OK. WAITRESSES COULD USE A LESSON OR TWO FROM ALEX. THEY CAN BE A LITTE MOODY BUT OVERALL THE FOOD IS TERRIFIC AND GREAT PRICES.

Went to this restaurant in town for first time and was not disappointed! Food was excellent, waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us make selections. Prices were reasonable for a higher end restaurant. Will definitely be returning!

Friendly service if your skin isnt white or if youre not with white friends. Food is over priced and bland. What is it they do with their bacon to make it taste and look like a burnt stick?

Not your you touristy place but awesome Mexican food. Best tortillas in TEXAS, period. All food is tasty and generous portions. Carne asada and fajitas are great. Great lunch specials.
