6/24/2017 upd: Remodeled and apparent new mgr. Went there with a customet and, while the Spanish Rice and charro beans are not back to as good as they were in the beginning, the service and the rest of the food is. BIG improvements! I again recommend this place. 2/9/2017 update: The Royse City Arboledas has expanded but has taken a nose dive and no longer has the crowds. This WAS our go-to place in Royse City but since the mgr change awhile back the servce and food are unpredictable at best. Because of the history, weve tried going back several times but, if anything, contines on the slide. Our 2nd to last visit, after a 30 min wait for our lunch, the mgr came out to apologize for the new chef and offered our ice free! We left. The last visit we receive Spanish rice glue and flavorless charo beans. This place has ONE problem: TOO small - more like a hallway. The food is superb - the better of the two Arbeledas (which is also VERY good) and the best in Royse City. We would eat here more often except it is almost always a long wait for a table.

My family and I love this place. We moved to Royse City from a very large city about 6 months ago and were very happy to find such a great Mexican restaurant within this quaint town. Great food and Great prices. We have a family of 5 and after tip its about $55-$60 with regular drinks (not ordering from the kids menu) . Great customer service. All the wait staff is friendly and helpful. We go here at least twice a month. Also, Since they expanded the restaurant, doubling the size, there are no more long wait times. Maybe 5 minutes on a weekend night. You definitely wont be disappointed.

Good food, good price, good service. 12/2016 update: I removed a star from my original review almost a year ago as I feel theyve gone downhill a bit. The food was never "amazing", but it was good for cheap TexMex. The last few times my food has been lacking in taste. I got fajitas and the onions were burnt to a crisp, so I requested more and those were barely cooked. It was late, so it couldve been that. On that note, whatever happened to variety in fajitas? Wheres the bell and jalapeno peppers? Theyre the only restaurant I like in RC, so I hope they can step up their game.

The food was good, over charged on a cup of shredded cheese $2.00 and tortillas 3 for ¢.99. But. Never again. The waitress was sick. Coughing on her hands, sounded like her voice was out. The customers next to us asked her and she said she want contagious and that even poor sick people need to work. Well two days later and I have a soar throat. I know business is business but when you have a sick employee, send them home, dont endanger your patrons. I wished we wouldve noticed before we had been there a while.

Im new to the Royse City area, and was looking for a good place to eat. There are several restaurants right on the main street, however, most were empty - except for Arboledas. I was by myself, and had about a 15 minute wait, which wasnt bad for a Saturday night. The salsa was great, nice and spicy, the way I like it. I had the Beef Fajitas, and they were to die for. Prices are reasonable, and wait staff very friendly. Id recommend this to others, and will definitely return myself.

My wife and I have been regulars here for about 2 years now. We used to go twice a week. Ive noticed a substantial fall off in both the quality and freshness of the ingredients recently. Ive also noticed a substantial increase in the cost of each visit. Arboledas was once an affordable and tasty choice for us. Weve begun to seek out other options because of our recent experiences there. I will say that the waitstaff is outstanding all the way around though.

When I lived back in VA I had a great authentic Mexican restaurant just down the street from my house that beat everybody on price, quantity, and quality. It was my goto place that not many knew about. This place just filled that role for me in Royse City, TX. Average prices are below $10 for entries. Kids meals around $5. With good strong margaritas. I will be taking my family here regularly as long as they maintain their current standards of service.

I eat here regularly with my family. Jaime and Alto both take good care of us. Ive tried most of the dishes on the menu, and thoroughly enjoy the food. I highly recommend the carnitas (#8) and the camarones del diablo. Pretty hard to beat this place for a casual dining experience. The only draw-back is the space. The place is regularly packed, and they dont have much of a dining room. Still, theres rarely a long wait.

I AM IN COMPLETE IN DISBELIEF AT WHAT THESE GUYS HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE FOR A TACO SALAD, CUP OF SOUP, SMALL QUESO, VERY VERY SMALL CONTAINER OF HOT SAUCE, ONE BAG OF CHIPS....28.00! UNREAL!! I WILL TELL EVERY PERSON THAT I KNOW TO NEVER EVER GO THERE. THEY ARE REBUILDER/EXPANDING AND I GUESS THEY ARE PASSING THE EXPENSE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. TODAY WAS THE FIRST AND VERY LAST VISIT TO THIS PLACE...

have eaten there once and it was really good. The problem I have is they do not pay their bills on work that they request done. My Husband did some work for them and sent them a bill and that has been months ago and they refuse to pay. Arturo is the one that is refusing to pay and he is part owner for sure. If they do not pay their bills makes you wonder what they are really putting in the food.

Every place weve lived, weve managed to find that one special Mexican food restaurant, and this is it. The margaritas are superb and the food is always great. We try to make it a once a week stop. The Caddo Mills location is coming along great as well, although the atmosphere isnt as good as the Royse City location. Always a great place to unwind and eat.

Great food! Mariah and Cassandra made sure we were well taken care of on a super busy night! Mariah was our waitress and was very responsive and attentive! Cassandra made sure we got a table! The food was awesome! Were new to the area and I can see this joint becoming a regular spot for us. Thanks for a great dinner!

Hate that local business has nasty food but this place is just a waste of money and your time. Food was plain and service was awfully slow. Dont wait to be seated or youll be standing forever just seat yourself. Food is really just awful try it for yourself if you dont believe me.

I have come here for years and it has always been wonderful! Some of more recent staff changes have made my experiences here a little less enjoyable but the food never fails to impress me and it would take something drastic to keep me away!

Good food at a good price. The staff is friendly and works hard to make your dining experience great! Restaurant is located in the Royse City Downtown area and offers visitors a chance to walk and shop before or after their meal.
